We loved this house. We were impressed by how clean it was when we arrived, and how smartly everything was set up. We have stayed in many houses on Orcas, and this one had the best Wi-Fi by far.

This home is perfection

We stayed 8 nights in this home, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen is so well equipped, we were able to cook and serve every meal like we were in our own home. The outdoor space allowed for everyone to enjoy the views, the sun (and amazing sunsets), and the meals served on the big outdoor table. The location was ideal for visiting town, parks, and a kayak tour around Sucia. Five Stars!

Sunsets are amazing

Location is great. Close to eastsound. House is good for a large party spilt up. We were only a family of 4 but it was great. Quick trip down the road to go to the water. There is no access from the house. Quiet and lovely. Great view from the kitchen and lots of equipment to use. Fully stocked.

Fabulous Vacation in the San Juan Islands!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Sunsets over the Salish Sea. The second time was even better than the first. We couldn't get enough of the gorgeous sunsets on the lovely deck and porch! Our children loved making s'mores in the outdoor fire pit while we watched a bald eagle land in the tree overhead. What an experience!

Salish house

Great house. Great views. Great location. Three great bedrooms. The couch/bed in the fourth room should go to goodwill. Very uncomfortable for our age group. 50s and 60s. That was the only drawback.

East sound

East sound was a beautiful house with amazing views and a great location close to town. The kitchen was really well stocked with newer cookware. The house was clean, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms were very clean but the floor was dirty and we ended up mopping ourself when we arrived. Also the slipcover and couch pillows were showing wear. It would be nice to have a TV in the main room for the whole group to watch since the rooms with tvs didn’t accommodate much seating. Other wise, a really great place.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was well located and clean. Apparently there had been a storm several days before our arrival, and the exterior had a lot of debris,downed tree and branches. The Hot Tub was locked for the 1st 4 days of our arrival. The do not use signs in the living spaces was a little disarming.( example: DO NOT REMOVE THE TABLE CLOTH IN THE DINING ROOM BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE TABLE, DO NOT USE THE FIRE PLACE IN THE BEDROOM,ETC.). The kitchen was poorly equipped for any serious cooking (NO BLENDER,FOOD PROCESSOR OR JUICER),There was an iron..but of very poor quality and difficult to use. We enjoy a clean space and would have appreciated having a vacuum. I believe we left the property cleaner and in better shape than when we arrived and should have the entire cleaning deposit refunded.

Upscale home in tranquil setting

Custom home with lots of beautiful wood trim. The location on the north coast of Orcas provided a 180 degree water view with several islands 3-4 miles away. Very peaceful. Eagles and hummingbirds. Convenient to the island’s main town , Eastsound (2 miles). The house had every amenity. Well equipped kitchen and laundry. Comfortable beds. No complaints and many compliments to the owners.

Nice quiet getaway with a great view!

Had a lovely stay at this home on Orcas Island--beautiful views and plenty of room for our family of 8. We could tell from the smell as soon as we walked in that the place had been thoroughly disinfected. The only complaints about the place that we heard from our group were that the bedroom window coverings could have been room darkening (the sun blasted through early in the morning!) and there was a lot of dust under or around some of the furniture. Also, some kid-friendly kitchenware would be nice, like smaller plastic cups and plastic plates, etc. It would help if you included some instructions for the TV, what with all the different remotes, etc. We appreciated the environmentally-friendly bath products and laundry detergent. The hot tub was nice, although it was pretty dirty when we arrived, and we had to have someone come and reset the circuit breaker when it was tripped during our stay. The management quickly responded to our complaint. Apparently, the hot tub is only cleaned on a certain day of the week, and we arrived in the middle of that cycle, so, once it was cleaned, it was great. The view from the house was fantastic, and the house was very secluded and quiet.

Family Vacation in the San Juan Islands

She had bird feeders and seed there for me to fill with my grandson. We were right on the water with beautiful sunsets from the deck. We enjoyed the outside fire pit with s’mores. They had everything we needed! If we needed anything Northwest Escapes was there to help. We had 8 adults and 3 children staying and the house was perfect in size. The house was clean when we arrived and had things to help us until we could make it to the grocery store. It also had a book with suggestions for places to eat and things to see. It was a perfect family vacation! We will definitely return.

Fantastic Stay on Orcas!

My husband, Jake, and I loved our stay in this home. We enjoyed the beautiful view from all areas of the house, a full kitchen, a comfortable bed, and the two eagles that flew circles around the property every evening. We had one minor issue with the wifi and the property manager personally came over and fixed the issue! If you are looking to unwind on Orcas, we fully recommend staying here!

Sunrises and sunsets every day, fireplace and outdoor fire pit every evening The hot tub has the best view ever , eagles flying overhead on the deck . We had stellar dinners with local oysters and seafood and the music system was perfect. We loved being back on Orcas Island with our best friends and would recommend this home and location to everyone ! Thank you for having us in your magical spot.

We all loved having separate bedrooms and bathrooms, outdoor sitting and dining areas, and the hot tub. Sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The view from the living room and kitchen were mesmerizing. Kitchen was stocked well with cooking gear. The gas BBQ was wonderful. Saw a bald eagle and a woodpecker by the house. The best family vacation we have ever had.

We were particularly impressed with the kitchen, as we're not used to good gadgets, knives, small electrics, etc. when we've rented vacation houses in the past. The house's best feature is its proximity and views to the water. We enjoyed all of our evenings eating on the deck, watching bees dart in and out of the lavender, and marveling at the beauty of the water.

This is a great place a group of friends or families with adult children as the bedrooms have private bathrooms. The home is very well maintained and pretty close to town. We rented bikes for the week it was an easy ride to most places.

We took advantage of the hot tub and were so impressed with the beautiful landscaping around the house. The interior craftsmanship is impressive. We had one issue with a need for more bedding for the fold out couch which was taken care of quickly by the property management. This is a fabulous spot to visit with friends and family or just sit by ones-self and contemplate the beautiful world in front and around you.
