    House is located on Carlow Island. Carlow Island is part of Eastport, connected by a causeway. To reach Eastport, take 190 off Rt 1.
    Enjoy quiet time at the ocean, yet only minutes to downtown Eastport. There you will find shopping, restaurants & downeast charm.
    1 floor, open concept, 3 bedrooms with 1.5 bath.
    Enjoy walking paths, explore the beach, collect seashells, rocks & sea glass. Or just sit back and enjoy the incredible view!

We loved our stay at the beach cottage. Our hosts were easy to contact, the cottage was clean, and big enough for the three of us. It offered great views and easy access to Eastport.

A great home-base location to explore all downeast Maine has to offer. Local shops & Whale Watching in Eastport a quick drive away and within an hour drive to great hiking & iconic lighthouses. Then the family was able to wind down on the back porch & enjoy the view.

Great property! This house has everything you need for your stay! Very clean, good amount of room, and quiet location. We felt like we were to ourselves. Private beach area was great to watch the sunrise, low and high tide, collect sea glass and shells and just relax.

Relaxing oceanfront retreat

Comfortable accommodations and beautiful setting. Perfect spot for day trips or just relaxing by the water. Very private location. We loved our time in Eastport! Thank you.

Wonderful Stay on Carlow Island

We greatly enjoyed our four night stay on Carlow Island at this property. It was a quiet area, with plenty of beach, perfect for a family with children to explore. We had a wonderful time, collected a lot of sea glass, and biked down to Eastport and up along the down East sunrise trail into perry.

Serene Maine Getaway

The house is beautifully decorated with local, beach themed items. The view from the back deck is stunning, and a wonderful rocky beach is a short walk away. The house was fully stocked with amenities and very clean on arrival. A perfect home base while visiting the down east area!

Beautiful area

Great house with the ocean steps away across the lawn. The hosts left a beautiful gift basket of local products too. We enjoyed using the suggestions of things to do in the area.

A prefect cozy cottage

The cottage was perfect for our family to stay in comfortably for the week. The yard is very spacious, with a large deck and beautiful views. the cottage is close to town while also very private and secluded. Kristen was an excellent host and was easy to communicate with.

I've been to every beach along Maines coast nd this one is now among my top favs. Unreal finds of glass shells nd rocks. Home was amazing nd very comfy feeling

The host was absolutely amazing. We had a little hiccup in the beginning but was fixed immediately. The response was immediate to rectify the issue. It was a completely unforeseen problem a massive storm the day before arrival knocked out the power and the heat pump wouldn't start. It was honestly amazing to be able to look at the stars in the sky. It had breathtaking views from the private beach. It's only around 30 minutes to the border. You can actually see Canada from the back porch. It's only a short drive to the animal refuge. The most amazing part was only 15 minutes away going to the reversing falls. We definitely plan on staying again in the summer to go whale watching.

Family fun

With three young kids we can find it hard to travel but this house was perfect! The beach was calm with fun rocks to explore. The yard was huge and almost left like it was fenced in with the beautiful meadow and bushes. The kids’ room even had some toys and books in it! Eastport was super close and we have a great trip. Hope to come back!

Great location

The location was great and the cottage was cute. Several issues occured while we were there. We were able to speak to the owner to try and correct them. I hope the issues were just a result of being the first renters of the 2024 season. The quiet location was beautiful.

Great cottage with fantastic views

We traveled to the area for a wedding. The wedding had to be moved a day early due to a hurricane approaching. Kristen was very kind and let us arrive early. The back doors of the cottage look out onto the ocean. We didn't get to enjoy the great property because it rained the whole time but it was a nice spot to watch the storm roll in. They had lots of information about local things to do and a nice welcome basket. If we are ever back in the area will book again!

Coastal beauty

The house, location and view were perfect. The house was clean and spread out nicely to provide privacy when needed. Certainly having 1.5 baths came in handy. Needed items were available upon check in. However, the livingroom furniture was horrible, so much so most of us could not use it. There are no lamps in the lr so only had a harsh overhead light. The bunk mattresses were very uncomfortable and the king mattress, although bareable, needs updating. Hate to complain but it was that bad. Would love to come again but the furniture situation makes it impossible for our comfort. Beautiful place truly

Great property, unfortunate circumstances.

BEAUTIFUL YARD AND BEACH ACCESS. Home wasnt clean. Lots of old food in the fridge that hadnt been cleaned out. Expired condiments from fast food places that doesnt even make sense in Washington County, Maine. Trash in the home and unwanted human and rodent debris. We spent a lot of money to stay and make our own food, but that was aparent we could not after just one evening. We left this home a lot cleaner than we arrived to it. Beautiful property and deck facing the channel. Plan on eating elsewhere.

Perfect Northern Coastal Maine escape

I booked this cottage rather last minute as it was the only place available in my price range. Honestly, I thought it was too good to be true with that view! Well, it did not disappoint and was everything that it was advertised as and more. The proximity to the ocean is fabulous and everything that you may need for your stay is available. I know there were previous reviews that mentioned it being less than desirable with cleanliness. I need a very clean place myself, and this was very clean. The host was also very responsive and the sweet welcome basket with goodies was very thoughtful. I would not hesitate to rent this cottage again. In fact, I hope to be there again next year. It is located on a tiny little island just before entering the island of Eastport. Despite Campobello being only about 5 miles away, it is about a 45 minute drive, and totally worth it. The village of Eastport is also very sweet and I cannot wait to explore more another time. This is a true gem!

Great Location, Cleanliness Issues

Wonderful location, right off rt. 1, beautiful views, you can see the sunrise, walk to the rocky beach. BUT we traveled over 6 hours to get to this Eastport cottage. When we got there WE had to make up the beds- sheets had been placed on the bed with a note stating the date they had been laundered. Is that a usual practice?? The listing didn't mention this little detail! There were coffee grinds and lots of toast crumbs on the counter. We washed down all the counters. The Keurig was very dirty and had a used pod still in it. We washed it and super cleaned the black, grimy outside handle and top. The bedrooms hadn't been dusted, and there was heavy dust on the bureaus. The shower had visible soap scum and hairs. We realize it is early in the season, but we paid top dollar for this cottage and it just didn't look recently refreshed or ready for paying customers. We liked having one floor living and open concept design.
