Basic accommodations close to Shawnee Ski Area. Beds, pillows and towels all in bad need of upgrades along with old heating units that are hard to regulate. Tissues and plastic cups would be appreciated room additions. But rooms are clean and aside from one recent visit when heat and hot water were not working, functional. The staff is friendly and the pub is open late and always fun! We only need a place to crash for one night and can’t beat the price and location!

Our first room had a broken baseboard heater - front was loose and wires were hanging out. It was only slightly warm and did not improve while we stopped in the pub. The cook / bartender / clerk moved us to another room but the heat had not been turned on. Once she told us what appeared to be an AC unit was the heat we turned it on but it took until morning to get the room warm. It was after midnight when we switched rooms - and close to 2AM when we could take our coats off and get to bed. Also there was no hot or even warm water no matter how long we let it run. We have stayed here before and expect the ancient mattresses and lumpy pillows - staff is nice, they are close to ski area and pub is fun. But this time was not a good experience.

The sheets and bedspreads were dirty and the room smelled of stale smoke despite being a nonsmoking room. Luckily we had sleeping bags in the car that we had to use instead of the bed covers. There were very small towels in the bathroom, not big enough to use for bath towels and no washcloths. Would not recommend.

It was fun watching a World Series game at the bar while having a couple of beers and some chicken wings. Prices were affordable and the bar was friendly. Then just walk 100 feet to my motel room. Very convenient and no worries about driving.

You get what you pay for. Served our purposes, but the room is in need of repairs and the linens need to be replaced- they were clean but clearly old and worn.

RUN. This "motel and pub", and OYO, are literally a scam. I reserved a room for myself, husband, and our 5 y.o. via Expedia. I called from the road and asked if we could check in a little late, like 8-8:30 p.m., and was told "that should be fine." We arrived at 8:34 p.m. My husband went in while I stayed with our child in the car. After a few minutes he came out and said they could not find a reservation under my name. We switched places. I went in and could not find an office, only a bar. I came back out. Outside, music blared over drunk guests laughing and smoking cigarettes. My husband informed me there is no front desk or office, but he spoke to the bartender and she told him there's no reservation. I went back in and spoke with the "receptionist"/bartender further. She informed me that "their system" had canceled my reservation because they were "overbooked by these booking companies" like Expedia. She also informed me that I would be charged the full amount for my canceled reservation, that she was not able to offer me another room because none were available, nor could she refund my money, because "the system" would not allow it. This entire conversation took place in a tiny side room inside a bar, in which her computer monitor faced me and the door. I could see other guests' full names and reservation details. Fast forward: After numerous calls and chats with Expedia and OYO, no refund. I reported it as fraud on my credit card and they removed the charge. RUN.

This was the most disgusting room I have ever seen. There was semen on the comforters and the walls were covered in dirt. The shower had zero water pressure. There was no one at the property to help. The bar was noisy until 2 AM.

Canceled reservation 24 hrs prior to policy, due to no ADA accommodations. Can not do steps , with a service animal, mobility issues. The hotel could not accommodate. Spoke with resort directly, well ahead of cancellation policy. I was charged full amount, refusing to refund for a stay I did not stay , due to no ADA accommodation offered. Oyo is refusing to refund, who is handling the reservation. Buyer be ware…..

Great weekend with fun people. Bartender Renee is attentive and outgoing! Karaoke night lots of entertainment. Convenient location. Pool fun for kids and adults.

"non-smoking" room clearly had had a recent smoker in it. Hadn't been cleaned properly... toilet paper roll was almost gone; dirt on the floor; hair in one of the bath towels; the shower had to run for 30s before the rusty orange water turned clear; no indication of hot/cold water; the toilet flushed ok once but I had to open up the back of it and fix the mechanism the second time; there were a few flies in the room; one bed's mattress had several dips; stained bedspread; the other bed was ok, slept well enough. I don't want to know what anything may have looked like with a black light.

My wife Judy introduced me to Werrys years ago and we just love it there. The owners Sam and Linda are great people. The way we like to describe the hotel/bar is it's an old, country western/ biker bar vibe with lots of character. The locals are now close friends. When we arrive, its a nice welcoming feeling. The location is great, the pool is inviting, the bartenders are attentive and friendly. No matter who you sit next to, you'll hear a great story. Karaoke night are a lot of fun. This is not a fancy, schmancy place but its definitely one of our favorites.
