Property owner thinks they can keep all of your money even though a natural disaster happened during the time you were supposed to be there. So, basically, if the weather could kill you, you either take the chance of dying or have your money taken from you for absolutely nothing. Also, VRBO/Expedia states that there are exceptions for extenuating circumstances such as natural disasters. We were supposed to be at the property from January 23, 2026 till January 25, 2026(leave by 11 am), during which time a huge snow storm covered the entire state of Pennsylvania. The governor of Pennsylvania even issued a state of emergency for the entire state. Meanwhile, I'm sure, had we actually gone to the property, stayed there like planned and gotten stuck and couldn't leave on time, we certainly would have been charged more money for that as well. Bottom line is, this property is just a HUMONGOUS SCAM. Also, there is/was no cancellation policy listed for the property.

Temperatures were in the low 30’s when we arrived early evening and there was no heat on. It took about 2 hours to warm up and there were still cold droughts from the 2 AC units in the window - especially where paper was stuffed at the AC sides in the main bedroom.The hot water for a shower/bath did not work it was mildly tepid, although there was hot water in the kitchen and bathroom taps. The owner said he’d have someone look at it but nothing was fixed.The table and counter surfaces were dirty enough to darken a cloth, along with some dead bugs, dust and grit on on windowsills and mantle. Some cooking pots were also dirty and there was black mold and food debris in the sink.This was overpriced for no hot wash water, a cold house, and a charge of 60 for cleaning for our 2 days when the place was dirty on arrival.

Home was as pictured and location was quiet and people friendly near a University! We were there for an Anniversary Weekend. Convenient location for all your needs. We did a ATV t riding nearby at Pocono ATV Tours. The house looks better in person than in pictures. The neighbors were good neighbors. The house was clean but not thoroughly clean. Meaning there was spill stains not wiped off of white cabinets. Silverware with food still on them and crumbs inside the refrigerator. Nothing major but things that should be cleaned on a normal let alone for a VRBO rental. Place could use a deep cleaning. Another thing is the fishnet or drain should I call it is DISGUSTING!! Simple fix, just needs to be replaced. Other than that we would stay there again.

Close to University

Three parents stayed here to be close to the University where our sons were playing in a basketball tn. It is extremely close to the university which was very convenient.

Bad Business

Did not get the code to the house the day of arrival as commonly done. Instead it says will get “on arrival”. That was 20 minutes waiting , and needing to go elsewhere for a bathroom before code was sent to get in. Home heat was slow to warm up, on cold, wet day. NO HOT WATER. Poor and slow communication from owner. With VRBO involved, still poor. Promised to get help, but no help came, after 3 phone calls and 6 hours. There was less than a roll of toilet paper for 4 people. Crusty bowl left next to sink. Both kitchen and bathroom sinks had yellow crusty pieces left in them. Kitchen cabinets dirty around sink area. Know your rights. No one deserves to be gaslighted.

Hello, the house was very beautiful, but the pot was very dirty. It was very comfortable and it was very clean. I had a nice day, but that’s the only problem I had with the pots. It was very filthy.

Very cute and cozy place

This rental is very nice and clean inside. My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. We had a problem with the thermastat not working but the owner responded quickly once i called him. had someone come fix it.

Conveniently Located

This 2 bedroom is conveniently located near ESU and is comfortable. It was very nice to be able to cook meals, relax with a nice TV, and have good heat, A/C, and a hot shower. I would certainly rent this place again when I'm back for another visit.

Wonderful Stay

This is probably the cutest little house we’ve ever stayed! Very quiet neighborhood close to everything! Close to campus, close to Main Street. House is extremely cozy! Had great communication with owner. Everything was a breeze! Highly recommended!
