Writing Retreat Dream Location

Absolutely gorgeous property, with one of the best yards any of us have ever seen. Close to town, hiking trails, and highways, but felt private and so peaceful. We were a group of writing friends using a long weekend as a mini retreat to get some work done, and had a wonderful stay. We hope to return as soon as life lets us!

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a weekend getaway in the Poconos and are so happy to have found Rustic Rest. Owners were easy to communicate with. The cabin is out of a story book- lovely and thoughtfully decorated and well-appointed. The hot tub was sparkling clean and welcome on chilly evenings. The grounds are breathtaking. We can't wait to stay again!

Incredible property that you won’t want to leave

My group and I had a fantastic stay at this home. Everything was exactly as advertised. The owners went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, including with a gift of local chocolates. The hot tub was definitely the highlight - we spent every night in it! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the East Stroudsburg area.

Well appointed - beautiful grounds

Overall we had a great stay. Lots of nice thoughtful touches like wood for the fireplaces, plenty of towels, well stocked with all the things we could need during our two night stay. Great location for access to hiking and the backyard is very scenic with the streams. We had four adults and four teen boys and the sleeping arrangements were tight. Would be ideal for three couples or a family of 6. Communication with the owners was fantastic. With the cooler weather we really enjoyed the hot tub and the three season porch with the wood burning fire.

Wonderful real cabin

Exceeded expectations!

We had the most delightful stay! This place is absolutely adorable, with a charming and rustic log cabin décor that creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The beds were so comfortable! One of the best features was the water cooler that dispenses hot water—such a game changer! I also truly appreciated all the thoughtful pet amenities, which made traveling with my furry friend so much easier. The trails winding through the yard, with hidden lawn ornaments tucked away, truly made it feel like a magical world. the creeks winding through the property added such a serene and peaceful touch—it's the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Every detail was carefully curated to ensure comfort Highly recommend!

Beautiful , cozy retreat

This property is breathtaking and stunning! So peaceful and relaxing! The water, the trees, and all of the fun decor to look at. All of the rooms are decorated with such a cozy feel. So much to do in the area too. We did lots of hiking/walking at the various parks and trails. Bushkill Falls, Marshalls Creek Falls and Camp William Penn park. Great place to stay anytime of the year!

Your Own Fairytale Cottage

From the moment you pull up, you can tell a great deal of thought was put into every detail of this property. It is charming, comfortable and practical. Words, nor even really photos can describe how magical the backyard is with the meandering stream and paths. We live somewhat locally but wanted a little extra space & change of scenery for a family get-together. We are all still talking about what a lovely time we had at Rustic Rest and we would love to come back again in the future. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts!

Absolutely amazing

We had the best time spending a weekend at the rustic rest! It was cozy and just as pictured. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was also very responsive through the entire process. Birthday weekend at Rustic Retreat

Magical!

The photos do not do this hideaway justice. The property was so relaxing. The details were well thought out. We had a wonderful time hanging outside, wading in the creek and just taking all in. The beds were comfortable and the home was immaculate. We will definitely be back!! (Fun note try to be outside at dusk, you start to see all of the lights twinkling on)

Wonderful and cozy cabin

This was our second time visiting, rustic rest. It’s the cutest little cabin, tucked along the creek. The inside is comfortable and cozy with cute little decorations everywhere. The loft area is so much fun with games for kids to play. My son enjoyed playing the video Consoll and sleeping in the loft bedroom. Outside is so charming and cute with the creek, meandering through the backyard and all of the decoration were fun to explore. . We lit a fire every night inside and had a fire outside next to the hot tub. We were so happy that we were able to bring our golden retriever who loved being in the creek and running around the backyard. I think he had more fun than all of us.. Rustic rest is truly a magical place and we can’t wait to come back again.

Exactly what we needed, AND MORE

The property is amazing and absolutely breathtaking from the moment you arrive until you leave. The 3+ bedrooms and loft gave ample space for me and 4 of my friends. The cabin is cozy and spacious, lots of room, and several indoor activities (i personally love the SPACE INVADERS). The Hot tub provided the perfect ending after a long day skiing. And now to the garden/creek paths. I was blown away with the beautiful paths around the creek with chairs is various areas to sit and watch the running water. The attention to detail was astounding. I loved eating my breakfast outside each morning watching the creek splash by. Hands down my favorite part of the entire property. Owners were polite and communicative. Check in was a breeze. Any questions or concerns were answered promptly. And I hope to visit again in the near future.
