Fabulous and comfortable well equipped property. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. One of the best we’ve stayed in.

Excellent and well-equipped cottage set in a lovely quiet location. Angie provided a comprehensive welcome pack that was much appreciated. All the fittings were of a high standard and cleanliness was excellent.

The property was exactly as described. We wanted a holiday deep in the countryside with lots of gardens and National Trust properties to visit. The WiFi was fine in the house but a bit iffy in the area. Not the hosts fault!My only criticism would be that the mattress was a bit too soft for my comfort and that the kitchen could do with more implements.

Lovely rural cottage

Delightful spacious and comfortable cottage with lovely garden and backdrop of large forest trees. Well located for walking in the South Downs or by the coast. Although we only met Angie once, we immediately warmed to her.

Wonderful property

We stayed at the Deerkeepers Cottage for three nights with our two boys. It was a beautiful property, with lots to do. The cottage was immaculate and the boys loved looking at the horses and playing tennis. We were close enough to amenities to head into London or go to a local pub, but loved staying in and watching movies in the cozy family room! We can’t wait to go back.

Stay at Deerkeepers

Het huis is erg gezellig, zeer volledig en mooi ingericht. De eigenaars waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In de directe omgeving kun je goed wandelen. Omdat het vliegveld op een half uur rijden is, kon onze dochter ook langskomen.

Deerkeepers Cottage, Sharpthorne

Our party of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Deerkeepers, it has a superb rural location with a lovely, peaceful cottage garden to relax in. The property is finished to a very good standard with quality appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the tennis court! Angie was a great host with excellent communication.

Better than Expected

The cottage was all that it promised to be and more - with extensive grounds for country/forest walks with deer and horses. Host left us tailored welcome package based on food allergies and popped round to check we were OK without being intrusive.

Das Haus ist sehr cosy eingerichtet. Es ist alles sehr sauber und lädt zum verweilen ein. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Ich lege immer großen Wert auf eine Waschmaschine und auch diese ist da, sogar mit integriertem Trockner.Es gab sogar als Aufmerksamkeit etwas Brot, Milch, Butter, Müsli und Marmelade. Fand ich sehr schön.Außerdem liegt das Haus sehr ruhig und der Parkplatz für das Auto ist gleich nebenan.Wir haben uns wieder sehr wohlgefühlt.

A Slice of Paradise

A hidden oasis of a beautiful English cottage, full of modern amenities was our experience during our 7 day stay. The pics on the site don’t do it justice. Inside is everything u need to enjoy ur visit; with hosts who go above and beyond to exceed guests expectations. The grounds / views which lead onto the Ashdown forest are brilliant. I highly recommend this Vrbo for the ultimate private getaway. We were blown away by the whole package . 5 STARS for this great Vrbo.

Lovely English Cottage

We were in England from the US visiting friends and celebrating a birthday at a home in a nearby community. This cottage, located on a farm about a 20 minute drive from Dormansland, provided us with a private space to visit and recharge. The amenities were perfect for four adults, and I can imagine in better weather, we would have taken advantage of the woodland walks and outdoor patio. Angie was a gracious and attentive host.

Wonderful stay

We are from Vancouver BC and stayed at the Deer keeper cottage while visiting family in the area. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for our trip. The quiet secluded location was just what we were hoping for. We were not disappointed at all. Our host Angie was exceptional. She made us feel welcome and also supplied us with some starter groceries. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation. Thanks Angie!! Tony, Rebecca and Ella

An idyllic property for exploring Sussex

We had a wonderful stay at Deer Keepers Cottage, the accommodation and surroundings are beautiful! The high quality furnishings within the property were greatly appreciated as well as the amazing welcome pack. A welcome pack full of basics such as bread, milk, cereal, margarine, eggs and jam is exactly what guests need. The beds were very comfortable and there are lots of options for day trips nearby. We also enjoyed the use of the tennis court and private woods. We thoroughly enjoyed cooling off from the sun within the woods, spotting deer, a rabbit, dragonflies and a woodpecker. The garden is stunning, cosy and secluded, a complete delight which I am already missing! For anyone considering a day trip to Brighton we would recommend the Withdean park and ride. It was very easy and convenient to use. I would definitely recommend this property, you won't be disappointed!

Charming country get-away

We spent five nights at the Deerkeepers Cottage and found the home in tip-top condition. Angela dropped by after our arrival to see if we had any questions. She advised us about the local train schedules and saved us some drive time with her recommendations. The welcome basket was helpful, as were her directions to the local grocery store. We also enjoyed the nearby pub, The Gardeners Arms, per her suggestion. We used the East Grinstead train station to commute in and out of London each day during our stay and found our stay at Deerkeepers perfect for our explorations of London. You can't go wrong with a stay in the country after a full day in the city. It was perfect to come to the quiet and solitude of Deerkeepers. And, there is something very soothing about awakening to the sounds of chirping birds every morning You can't go wrong with a stay at Angela's Deerkeepers Cottage.

Cosy base for touring.

A beautifully appointed holiday home. Everything we needed was to hand. Pleasant woodland walks nearby and plenty of National Trust properties to visit in easy range.

Einfach wundervoll!

Das Cottage liegt einfach wundervoll auf einem schönen Anwesen mitten in der Natur. Es ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet, sehr sauber und einfach etwas zum wohlfühlen! Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und die Abläufe waren einwandfrei und unkompliziert. Das Cottage ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Ein Auto ist in dieser Lage zu empfehlen, allerdings war das ja auch Zweck: Ruhe und Natur! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Relaxing and peaceful

We loved this beautiful cottage particularly the pretty garden on the edge of the woods. There was lots to see and do in the local area and also the local farm shop is handily just a couple of hundred metres down the road.

This was truly a home from home. A true, cute, chocolate box cottage with every modern amenity, scrupulously clean, surrounded by a country garden. Includes everything you need for an enjoyable visit to this lovely corner of the country. Peace and tranquillity guaranteed. We would return to this property.
