We were very pleased with our stay! The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds were firm with very soft bedding. The kitchen was well-appointed, and we made good use of the amenities onsite. The pool was perfect in the afternoons, and the view of the waves was lovely. From the property it was a short 35 minute drive to Seven Mile Beach, which afforded us many opportunities to try different restaurants along the way. The absolute highlight for us was attending two little turtle hatchlings on their way to the water. We were very glad our hosts included us. They were responsive before and after our stay, offering advice that improved our experience on this beautiful island. Highly recommend!

Superb place

This place was great for us. Nicely secluded but within 5 minutes of the far east end so we could dive with Ocean Frontiers, a superb dive company. Paul and Fay live on property but were totally unobtrusive and were super helpful, especially in releasing into the ocean baby turtles left behind in the nest right there on the beach. Will definitely stay here again.

Great family vacation spot!

My family and I had a great time staying at Sand. The owners were very responsive, helpful, and kind. The place was beautiful and comfortable. We especially appreciated how responsible the owners are with regard to the turtles nesting on their beach, and we were thrilled to find turtle tracks right outside our window one morning. Our kids also spotted an agouti by the property. The location of the property is great - the East End is nice and quiet, and it's just a short drive to the dive shop or to the gorgeous botanical park. The blow holes are also only a couple of minutes' drive from the property and were fun to visit a few times during the week. Great owners, great property. Would highly recommend.

Our family of six loved our stay here. We stayed in the sand unit and it was clean and spacious. With three bedrooms and three baths we felt at home and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we needed. Paul and Faye Anne were both great and so welcoming. You can tell they have put so much into making this space the perfect retreat for their guest. My teens loved all the outside games and cornhole but our favorite feature by far was the theatre room. We watched movies almost nightly!! We will for sure stay here again!!

Would definitely do again!

The house was exactly as described online! Our group of 6 (ranging in age from 14 to 70) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen, nice selection of books, games and puzzles. HUGE library of DVDs in the theater room. Comfortable furniture to lounge by the pool or hammocks on the beach. We basically had the beach to ourselves. Just what we were looking for!

Wow!

We had a fantastic time! This property is gorgeous and well equipped. Our kids enjoyed snorkeling everyday and saw SO many things! It was a great experience. Paul and Fay Anne are outstanding hosts. Brent and Connie are great neighbors! We sure hope to return to Grand Cayman and will most certainly stay here!

Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the SAND. We started every morning, peeing out of our bedroom, sliding glass door, at the rolling waves through the beautiful palm trees. Coffee on the porch in the morning with cocktails in the afternoon. Watching the kids play in the sand, search for hermit crabs and explore the tide pools was priceless. The combination of sea and Pool.was so perfect for our family. The location is also really convenient, right next to a little mini store for any last-minute things and cause to many little restaurants and beaches on the east side. The beds were super comfortable and the house had lots of room for relaxing on the couch, couches and dining space for 10 of us. Paul and Fay Anne were a pleasure to meet and were more than Accommodating of all our needs. They are wonderful hosts which made our stay even more enjoyable!

10 day family vacation!

We had such an amazing stay! The house was well kept up and so much room inside & outside to enjoy!! The snorkeling outside was amazing!! (we had pretty low tide so we didn’t get to get out there much). Our kids loved looking for seaglass & coral outside and the pool!! If you’re looking for a great spot away from the crowds this is your place!! All the beds were super comfortable! And they were so a combating to our 9month old! Even provided a crib for him. My only downfall was the fire alarm went off every time we cooked lol (smoke or no smoke) which isn’t their fault. And the gas stove cooks pretty hot so it takes some getting used to! But that’s not a deal breaker for me!! We would 1000% stay here again!! The owners live next door and are sooooo friendly but also let you feel like you’re on vacation! GREAT HOSTS!

A slice of heaven

Our stay at Crescent Beach was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the exceptional quality of the SAND apartment. The spacious 2100 sq.ft. ground-floor apartment felt like a true home away from home. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, it comfortably accommodated our family. The open living, dining, and kitchen area offered superb beach and sea views, making every moment a joy. The modern, tastefully decorated interior was equipped with everything we needed, including a gas stove, microwave, double door fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and combo washing machine/dryer. The LED lighting and high-efficiency central air units kept us comfortable while conserving energy. We appreciated the smart feature that switched off the air conditioning if a patio door was left open. The master bedroom was a haven with its king bed, and the other rooms were perfect for our needs. The outdoor amenities were just as impressive, with a beautiful pool, a courtyard with barbecue and dining facilities, and a games room with a pool table, table tennis, and a dart board. The location was perfect for our family, providing a quiet, remote setting with many amenities within a 30-minute drive. Overall, our stay at Crescent Beach exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail, comfort, and sustainability of the SAND apartment made our vacation unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

Peace and tranquillity

If you enjoy relaxing on the ocean without crowds or the hustle and bustle of the west side of Cayman, Sand is a wonderful quiet place to vacation. We found the snorkeling to be some of the best on the island, just be prepared to walk over a rocky bottom for about the first 20 feet. Paul and Fay Anne are great hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them.

An excellent property in an excellent beautiful location. Anything that you might need was provided. The hosts were so very welcoming and friendly and gave us many suggestions about activities. Great East-End Getaway!

If you don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of George Town this is the place for you. We enjoyed the entire time. There is so much to do all around the island so I highly recommend renting a car and exploring. We probably circled the island three times while we were there. Paul and Fay Anne were wonderful hosts with lots of knowledge of shops/restaurants and other recommendations. Our group definitely recommends this property and if/when we visit in the future we will be reaching out to them again.

Serene and beautiful

Our short stay in this lovely home with the beautiful view was perfect. We stayed in the "Sand" which was the lower level of this clean, spacious, comfortable home with a deck that led right to a private beach and gorgeous view of the water. It had every amenity you could possibly ask for. Paul and Fay Anne were perfect hosts who provided us with all the information we needed regarding the house, the amenities, restaurants, activities and more both prior to and during our stay. They were also very friendly, as were Connie and Brent, the guests who were staying in the "Sky" above us. They all made us feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we got there. It is a bit remote and requires a car to get to 7 mile beach and the tourist attractions, but that is part of its charm. If you don't mind driving a bit, it is worth it for the beauty and serenity of the surroundings. There are several restaurants and beaches within a short driving distance of the house. We hated to leave after just five nights but hope to return some day when we can stay longer.

Perfect in every way

Our accommodations at Sand were perfect. There were four of us and everything we could have wanted (and more) were provided. We enjoyed snorkling, the home theater, barbecue, pool, and games. Paul was responsive to our needs. It is tough getting through the rocks on the way out to snorkle but well worth it!

Great private beach stay!

Beautiful homes and setting right on the water in Half Moon Bay. Really well built home, and equipped with eveythibg you need to cook inside or at the outdoor kitchen! The snorkeling right in front of the home was great, day and night. We enjoyed our whole trip, and the home really made for a great location to make family memories. We would recommend both homes to anyone looking for a less touristy option for their stay. It’s about 30 mins to “town”, which we enjoyed to be away from the crowds more. There are a couple of small convenience stores within ten minutes of the home for small things you need, and a larger supermarket about 25 mins away. Keep in mind most grocery stores are closed on Sundays, that was a surprise to us. Would definitely return!

Absolute paradise!!!

This was the 7th time we had visited Grand Cayman, as a retirement gift, cruises and week long stays. Our first to stay in a more remote, quiet, serene part of the island. We traveled with 2 other couples and chose to stay away from the tourist crowded beaches and opt for less inhabited with no traffic or noise! Crescent Beach at Half Moon Bay was our piece of "absolute paradise"!!! We were amazed at all the amenities, space, atmosphere, tranquility and amazing views. The owners of the property live next door and were so willing to share their time if we had questions. It was almost like we were visiting friends! They were friendly, caring and so gracious. This home was positively spotless, luxuriously comfortable, spacious, well equipped with anything imaginable in the kitchen, and so kind to give us a welcome gift upon arrival. The views from inside made you "want" to stay outside! It was just a stones throw from the back porch to the water. The pool was inviting and used often as was the patio furniture And OMG, the outdoor kitchen was amazing! Which was attached to the movie theatre and ping pong/pool table. We did not want to leave after our fabulous week at Crescent Beach. We will be back and may share with our family next time. This home will not disappoint you and your family/friends if you visit. And if you go, tell Bugsy, their very friendly dog hello!!!

A little slice of Heaven

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Sand at Half Moon Bay for 5 nights and were delighted with our choice of lodging. As frequent visitors to Cayman, we typically opt for different accommodations each time we visit. However, we may have to make an exception and return to Crescent Beach in the future. The condo was phenomenal! The living room and bedrooms provided breathtaking views of the ocean, beach, and wildlife. We were pleasantly surprised to see a variety of marine life, including various fish, eels, lizards, crabs, birds, and an Agouti as well as beautiful scenery. We were fortunate enough to witness 5 baby turtles being released into the ocean at night. Paul really knows what he's doing with these little guys. We were happy to witness their departure! The condo had everything we needed and more, catering to all age groups. There were various activities such as ping-pong, pool, movies, a swimming pool with accessories, and games. We had never stayed on SMB or the west side of the island before, as we tend to avoid crowds. We enjoyed our easy drive to Georgetown to shop for duty-free items (such as Yurman, Coin, and others), dine at restaurants, and visit beaches. There were several restaurants within close proximity to the condo, including the newly opened Blue Rock. We already miss Crescent Beach and can confidently say that it is one of the best accommodations on Grand Cayman! Paul was an exceptional host, and we look forward to returning in the future.

The hosts live next door and were very welcoming, responsive and helpful. The condo is immaculate! We got to see baby turtles head into the ocean for the first time! Kids loved the pool. Due to the weather, the beach wasn’t great, but good options were a short drive away.
