This place was wonderful. Luis was so helpful with everything we could want. The beach was essentially private (cows, goats and neighborhood dogs not withstanding). We caught fish from the shore and ate a wonderful dinner. We had 22 people - 11 adults and 11 kids and plenty of space. We already want to come back!

A slice of heaven

Very friendly owner, host, and local community! The home is luxurious and the view is breathtaking. Make sure to get out on the water - we saw whales, dolphins, turtles, and more!

Amazing place!

The house was perfect! We had a large group of friends and family and the house met all our needs. The views are incredible and the caretaker was very attentive. Pool was chilly in February but we all still took a few dips. All the locals were very friendly and the nearby restaurants were all good.

Beautiful place

While one has to drive a mile on a dirt road, the place is totally worth it; It is right on a beautiful and secluded beach Has a nice Infiniti pool The house is big and comfortable, great for families We had a awesome time

If you want to be removed from the chaos of Cabo and just be on a peaceful beautiful beach in a comfortable house with all your friends and family, look no further. This house had everything you would need for a great vacation.

Post Work Getaway

A group of 19 friends traveled together for a getaway from work and we had an absolute blast. There was so much to do just at the house and we didn’t even get to do everything after a 5 day stay. The restaurant that we catered dinner from was delicious and the house was beautiful. The pool and beach were amazing and we can’t wait to come back again.

Perfect family vacation!

Hacienda Sonadora was beautiful! Trent was very responsive and set us up with the caretaker Luis. Luis was fantastic at his job helping us book transport, activities, excursions and food catering. He met us at the house at check in and made sure everything was good and kept in touch when we needed him. We had 12 adults and 11 kids (from teens to toddlers) and there was something for everyone! Luis helped us set up fishing, ATV tour, lunch reservations, catering with Adriana, massages, and horseback riding. All excursions showed up right outside the front door or on our beach front. With so many kids in our group, it was nice having direct access to the beach so it was easy to keep an eye on everyone. There was staff every day to either clean the pool, take out the trash, set up beach chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards and kayaks. All the hard work was done for us so all we had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scene. Even at the peak of summertime travel, we were the only ones on the beach. It was like having a private beachfront (with the occasional cows walking by which all the kids loved watching). There’s so much I can say to boast about this place. Everyone had an amazing time!

Amazing little getaway

The house was beautiful and the location was even better. The weather, the pool, the beach, the snorkeling; everything was just what we needed for a tropical vacation close to home. We were with several families and there was plenty of room for everyone. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay that exceeded all our expectations

Beautiful home, excellent restaurant La Hornilla and a small but excellent breakfast & lunch place (La Dona) located just outside the property. Lots to do -- kayaking, paddle boarding, ocean swimming -- just steps from the back patio. Concierge Luis was friendly and very helpful.

So glad we found this place!

The house was amazing - as beautiful and spacious as it looks in the pictures! The beach was great and almost totally private. Luis (the caretaker) was great - always checking in to help with whatever we needed. The local dining places were delicious and all the people we met were super friendly and helpful. We also had some delicious catered meals from Adrianas. Luis arranged for some massages at the house, which were so lovely that we actually had them come back later on in our trip. He also arranged a bonfire on the beach for our last night, and then went above and beyond by helping with roadside assistance when we got a flat tire on our way back home. We really enjoyed the kayaks AB’s paddle boards that were available at the house and really appreciated the filtered water and ice they had. We definitely hope to return soon.

Awesome Adventures!

Perfect getaway for 4 families with teens, college kids, plus grown children and baby! Isolation from the normal Cabo crowds. Beautiful, clean, spacious and well furnished property adjacent to beautiful ocean. Wonderful food at LaDona (walkable for breakfasts and lunches), catering by Adrianna (even a birthday cake!), dinners at some of the restaurants in El Cardonal (just a little bit down the road), local convenience stores in town, late night hot dog and taco stands--never were we hungry! Kayaks, paddle boards, towels, beach chairs & umbrellas--all there! Great walks on the beach too. Louis arranged ATVs for us to take on an adventure to the waterfall with lunch in Los Barrilles (much easier, shorter, and faster than driving the winding road!)!! I think the next time I would arrange a shuttle to the house to drop everyone off and rent ATVs for the week to get around! Everyone had something to do! Plenty of sun and shade if needed. This property is very accommodating for a variety of groups and ages. Highly recommend! The people in town were all very friendly as well. A great dream vacation with sunrises and sunsets! Even the whales gave us quite the show as they breeched and whacked the water with their tails as they fed! Can you tell we had fun??? Can't wait to go back.

Best place to stay at in Mexico!

This house did not disappoint! It was the perfect location for our extended family trip this year. The property is spacious and we felt comfortable even with our large party sharing the house and guest house. We felt safe with the home and its location being outside of mainstream Cabo. Trent and Luis were very response to all of my questions before and during the trip. We booked the mariachi band and piñata party for the kids and it was amazing! We loved the trip so much and would happily go back to this listing in the future. The one thing I would point out that if you go in the off season like we did (January) the pool was cold since the sun didn't really have the strength to heat it. Our kids didn't seem to mind it, but if you really want to utilize the pool go when the weather is hotter.

Delayed 75th birthday party fabulous!

Seventeen friends and family from 3 generations gathered in perfectly safe isolation for a week in this fantastic hacienda. There was room and varied spaces for all to gather, subsets to play board and video games, read quietly, color and play trucks, and just hang out. The open roof was a particular favorite for the 3 year old to survey the beach and water and delight in the world championship of pool cornhole his elders were playing below. People snorkeled, kayaked, tried hilariously to paddle board, but mostly swam in the gentle surf. We decided to cater the evening meals, and were glad we did. Excellent, local, fresh food was delivered nightly and many times there were enough leftovers for many breakfasts and lunches the next day. Luis, our friendly and helpful support, also arranged for a half day fishing trip for 4. They had a great time and brought home enough yellow tail tuna for sashimi and seared tuna plus mahi mahi for civiche. We all had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend this place for a gathering. We hadn't quite realized long a drive from ATMs the place was, so had to make the trek for cash for our Covid tests. Everyone takes US dollars as well as pesos, so I would recommend bringing enough cash for all your adventures and treats.

ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!

This is what Mexico is supposed to be like! Cabo is like cheap Vegas but thus home is on a private beach in a great little village. Old Mexico charm with everything you could possibly want! Few wonderful restaurants and local bar. The owners arranged a private chef which was super tasty. We fished, rented dune buggies and even set up a private fireworks show. Oh did I mention horse back riding on the beach! We loved everything about our trip except leaving. House is spectacular...zero complaints!

Paradise Found at Hacienda Sonadora

We, 3 adult children plus spouses, 2 sets of great grandparents, and 10 children (1-14 yrs) had a blissful, relaxing, incredible stay at Hacienda Sonadora. The home is equipped very nicely to accommodate a large group AND, especially, to give everyone space when needed. The beach is lovely, the pool is beautiful, and the "toys" ie paddleboards and kayaks were put to much use and so much fun! The caretaker was very attentive to our needs and requests. We LOVED the feeling of solitude and purposefully did not seek the crowds, noise, and hectic flurry of commercialized Cabo San Lucas.

WOW! Amazing property

We were blown away by how nice the home was. The white sand beach on a private bay in the Sea of Cortez and the fabulous pool and house made this a perfect getaway. The caretaker went above and beyond to take care of us. We catered in Dinners every night and just enjoyed the house as a destination. The kids played on the beach all day, went fishing and the caretaker took them on a guided horseback ride one day, while the adults rented ATV's and spent the day exploring the arroyos up into the mountains and the natural waterfalls. It was a great escape and getaway from City life in the US. We will definitely be back! My only regret- we didn't stay longer.

Perfect vacation

We had an incredible stay at Hacienda Sonadora! The property is absolutely ideal for large groups, and we really enjoyed getting to know the area. The locals are super friendly and the caretaker, Luis, made sure that all our needs were met. We got most of our groceries from Los Barriles, but the local shops are well stocked, and we enjoyed taking the kids for short walks to pick up candy at the nearby store. The small taco stand (La Dona) at the end of the driveway was excellent, and we ate there several times. We also tried La Hornilla and Las Terrazas, and they were both great. Overall, I don’t think our trip could have gone any better. This property is fabulous, and with the sliding doors fully open, you hardly notice the indoor/outdoor transition. It just feels like one giant living space. Highly recommended!

** JAW DROPPING! **

Incredible location Amazing home Wonderful Experience We were looking for paradise and we found it! The Caretaker made our stay extra special. We had massages by the pool, went on an ATV excursion and just enjoyed sitting by the pool staring into the Ocean for hours on end. We had a chef prepare dinners and the food wags exquisite, and the little restaurant up the street was good too. We felt, and were, completely safe in the wonderful community. We are definitely coming back! Thank you for building such a wonderful home!

Private Paradise!

What a delight! This property is gorgeous, private, safe, and truly perfect for our large group of 23! We celebrated our parents 50th anniversary with 10 adults and 13 youth/children at Hacienda Sonodora and the atmosphere here was key for helping us unplug and create numerous memories. The children (ages 5-16) played endlessly in the sand, ocean, and pool. When they were tired out or cold, they played hours of games up on the sun deck of the roof or made several trips to one of many small tiendas. Time seemed to stand still! The local families around Hacienda Sonodora were gracious, kind and helpful and the property manager, Luis, was well connected and resourceful. Long walks on the beach, horseback riding, and fishing were favorites among our group. Luis connected us with Betto and his family at Cuadra San Alberto Horse Rides. Betto went out of his way to accommodate our large group and he even made a special trip back the next day. The fishing expeditions were also great for young and old and we happily welcomed the fresh fish to our table for the next several meals. With a group this size, most meals were cooked right on property and the kitchen is excellent! Beautiful modern appliances make cooking a dream. When we needed a break from cooking, Luis connected us with Adriana who provided us with a wonderful, authentic Mexican breakfast and dinner. The drive north is straight forward, but an adventure in and of itself. Our van full of boys thought this was the most fun ride they’d ever taken. Over the hills and through the mountains to El Cardonel we go! The location is remote, so once there, we really had no desire to go elsewhere. Everything we needed was right there on property. If we had any needs or concerns, the property owner, Trent, responded immediately and graciously and the property manager, Luis, checked in daily. I’m not sure my parent’s will make it another 50 years, but I am already looking for another good excuse to come back with our family. Trent and family, thanks for an amazing, one of a kind, dream vacation!
