"Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."

"Very comfortable room & bed. Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room. Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside."

"The breakfast was cooked to order, plate and food was lovely and hot and very tasty.. The rooms were very clean and we stayed a couple of nights so had our water - towels - milk refills done after the first night..the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had our family get together on the Sunday after Christmas so we pre ordered our meals for our large family & table and everything we ordered was spot on!! Could not fault this hotel and staff. We will now be returning a few more times...

"We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...
