  • Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, steps from the banks of Eagle Nest Lake, lay a cozy rustic 3Br/2Ba log cabin. This rustic retreat can sleep up to 10 guests.

    Eagle Nest Lake offers excellent fishing of Rainbow Trout, Pike, Kokanee Salmon, and Perch. For the fly-fishing enthusiasts try our Cimarron River.

    From the kitchen window view the highest mountain peak in New Mexico, Wheeler Peak. It's elevation of 13,159 feet has been a popular hiking trail for those extremists.

    Located only 15 minutes/12 miles from the Angel Fire Resort and 25 minutes/18 miles west is Red River Resort both offering year round outdoors activities for all age groups.

Great cabin right by the water . Responsive hosts and huge yard for dogs. Also sleeps up to 10 people and have a fully stocked kitchen

My only problem was I booked the cabin and didn't see anything about no trailers. Our group already had our plans made and when I got my check in plan that's when I saw no trailers, so I had to find a place to park my boat for the weekend so that ment no charging boat batteries and other stuff needing done to the boat.

Loved the cabin! Beautiful and clean. Just about everything we needed available. The WiFi stopped working the day before we were due to leave but that barely affected us so we didn’t even contact anyone about it. Didn’t want to leave. Host was very responsive and kind during our interactions. Would definitely go back!
Pleasantly surprised to find a Christmas tree in the cabin.

Cabin was well kept with everything you need. Plenty of cooking supplies and a propane grill. The cabin lives up to its name, very serene and peaceful. You can enjoy the wildlife while relaxing on the back patio. The bedding was top quality and fresh linens. The host did an outstanding job keeping us updated on everything needed for our stay. We will definitely stay at this cabin again!

Nice place conveniently located

The cabin is in a nice quiet place not too terribly far from Eagle Nest or Angel Fire. The cabin is rustic and cozy. We had plenty of space for all the family and everything we needed for our getaway. We spent the majority of our time in Cimarron Canyon and ate in Angel Fire so it was located almost perfectly. We will certainly stay again if it is available on our next outing

Cozy cabin by the lake

We booked the cabin for a white Christmas. Margaret gave great directions to their cozy cabin. We felt great tucked away on the Cimarron trail. The hot water was instant and the heater kept us all comfortable by the frozen lake. A tip would be, bring plenty of fire wood.

Pretty Good

I liked the property, the home was great and had plenty of beds and bathrooms. I didn't trust the dishes, they are all washed by previous tenants and some were dirty. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would love to come back one day.

Cozy & perfect!

Super cozy cabin for our family of 6. Was not walking distance to fish. Scenery was horrible. But we loved the cabin & just got to people watch every day. 😂

Great Cabin

The cabin is located in a great spot and most things were exactly as listed online. The 2 exceptions were 1) the cabin is not located as close to the lake as what appears in the online pictures and 2) the price listed was not very accurate. Due to taxes and fees it was about a 25% higher rate than the per night listing.
