The apartment is right next to the beach in Shkembi Kavajes, with a private balcony that looks out over the Adriatic Sea. On the 4th floor (with lift) of a modern residence, it is an ideal holiday base! The apartment sleeps 4 people and would suit a family or friends who are looking for an action-packed holiday in Durres.

The stylish, open-plan living area is furnished with a contemporary sofa, flat-screen TV and a small dining table. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, kettle and a fridge/freezer. French windows open to the balcony with a table and chairs where guests can enjoy the sea breeze.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized double bed and wardrobe. French windows lead out to the balcony overlooking the beach.
Extra: The sofa in the main living area converts into a comfortable double bed.

Location
Durres appeals to all ages. The town has ancient Roman sites, endless sandy beaches and some of the best nightlife in Albania. The apartment is about 20 minutes from the town’s historic centre. Durres is home to the largest Roman amphitheatre (20 minutes) in the Balkans, as well as the ruins of a Byzantine forum. The 4th-century Venetian Tower, on the seafront, is now a restaurant and is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Adriatic Sea. Durres gets lively at weekends and is known for its vibrant nightlife. Durres Summer Fest every June features international DJ’s and live performances.

Tirana is a 1-hour drive and makes a great day trip. It is an eclectic mix of Ottoman, Soviet and Fascist architecture. The city is easy to explore on foot. Blloku is an exciting, young area, full of cafés and interesting boutiques. The main square – Skanderbeg Square is a must-see. The city’s markets offer a window onto everyday life. The New Market, Pazari Ri offers a wide range of local produce.

For self-catering there are several supermarkets within 2 minutes of the apartment. The town’s covered market, Grand Market (20 minutes), is the best place to pick up fresh local produce to try at home. Visit the Abaia Winery and Vineyard (15 minutes) to sample delicious wines and buy directly from the producers.

Tirana International Airport is just a 45-minute drive from the apartment. If you are arriving in Albania by car, the ferries from Ancona and Bari both go directly to Durres Port (20 minutes).
