"Lovely cottage in a quiet location in the wear valley. Great space, secure garden for dogs. Loved the Christmas decor (an unexpected surprise for our early Dec stay). Good base for exploring Weardale, Teesdale, Northumberland and Cumbria!"

"Property not cleaned on arrival. Helpful ladies arrived an hour later. No instructions of any kind for water, heating, cooker etc. No local info about shops, pubs, services etc. Awful double mattress. Despite aĺl that, a most impressive and comfortable static in an amazing location overlooking the North Sea - sunrises to die for."

"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...
