Una buena elección
La habitación estaba muy bien, pero lo que más destacaría era la amabilidad y hospitalidad del personal: excepcional. Muy acogedor.

Sin wifi
La señal wifi no llegaba a nuestra habitación. Una de las empleadas nos pareció bastante mal educada al reírse de que en un momento dado nos resultase díficil entenderles, y la forma que tuvo de decirnos que había que ser puntuales para el desayuno tampoco nos pareció adecuada. Si lo actualizaran un poco sería un sitio agradable, pero está muy viejo y desfasado.

Costó encontrarlo, ya que está bastante lejos del centro. La habitación cuádruple es amplia, limpia y sencilla. Suficiente para estancias cortas. Nada de wifi. Las habitaciones están por detrás del pub, y la puerta de la nuestra estaba en una esquina, con bastante suciedad en la antesala de la puerta (muchas hojas secas, telarañas, arañones grandes en el techo...). Cuando abríamos la puerta la cerrábamos rápidamente por si acaso. El personal, sólo normal. A veces daba la sensación de que pasaban de ti. En resumen, normalito.

Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. I popped to the loo and finished packing my back when the cleaner knocked again which I thought was odd so I double checked on my emails and then clarified the check out time being 11 am with the lady and she responded no check out time is 10 am.

I can assure you that the rooms are cleaned thoroughly after every stay and spring cleaned every month . We have just upgraded the heating system , with temp. Control controlled for each room . However if you had let me know during your stay I would been happy to sort out any issue you had .We have amended check out time to reflect the 10 am time .

Lacked hooks for wet jackets & bath towels. No deadlock or bolt on the door. Nice area.

Thanks for your comment on hooks we will look to checking the bedrooms for hooks . The doors all have locks fitted and we have found this to be sufficient .

It would have been perfect if the pub and kitchen was actually open. We were not informed that they closed the bar and restaurant side and had no Wi-Fi. Apart from that the room itself was pretty nice and tidy. I wouldn’t return unless it was actually open for food and drinks.

Great Hotel at reasonable rate.
The rooms are motel type in the car park. They are large and very clean. Tea and coffee available in room. My only criticism is that the large rooms do not have a chair of any kind. There is plenty of room for an easy chair and a desk chair. My colleagues room next door didn't have any either. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Large portions and very tasty with a good selection. Would definitely recommend for business or pleasure.

Great stay
The whole stay was great from start to finish. Staff were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. The food was amazing and I slept like a log. Would highly recommend staying here.

Much of the hotel was being re-modeled so situation slightly chaotic but staff team wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.

No chef, no alternative catering suggestions made.
Payment was taken from bank account after booking was made even tho confimation was to pay on arriving. Was called 2 hours before checking in to be told that it was cash only, and there was no chef. Not being from the area, asked if any recommendations could be made for something to eat and was told to use just eat. Was left with no way of getting a breakfast, as there was no local cafes etc that opened before 9am, and i had to be checked out and left to be at business course for 9am. Room was adequate, but no desk to do any paperwork. I understand the premises have recently changed hands, but had i been informed there was no where for a meal(whithout having to get takeout) or to be able to get a breakfast before work, i would have cancled my booking as moved it else where, as the venue was booked soley for its proximity to veune. From this experience, i more than likely wouldnt use the venue again.

I was disappointed to find that breakfast wasn’t included as advertised. Also the internal lock on the door didn’t work so I had to drag a piece of furniture in front of it to feel safe. I could feel every spring in the bed so not the best nights sleep (I can usually sleep anywhere!)

Lovely staff who made you feel very welcome. Really easy to access and cheap in a taxi to get into Durham. Only niggle was, was the beds. The base on one was unsteady and the other 2 the mattresses were awful. The single bed actually bruised one of the guests due to the springs petruding and the double bed had such a big delve in one side you couldn’t lay on it.

Due to Covid the building is a little shabby and sadly no breakfast as the chef left the day before. But this was forgiven because the landlady and landlord were fantastic. We all had a great evening. They are so friendly. We had a real laugh. Best night out I have had in a long time.

We didnt like the hotel at all. Room was dated and tacky. It was freezing cold and bedding felt damp. We didnt stay the second night

To be honest they could of explained it better 9n hotels.com that either they did not do breakfast or you had to pay for it separately as payed for 2 adults and 2 dog's and breakfast but did not get breakfast but other than that really dog friendly and very comfortable a really pleasant stay for us thanks so much
