A remarkable mountain getaway

Our two families - 10 total - had a fantastic time at this home. It easily fit all of us. The living areas were spacious. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware. We absolutely loved the location: epic mountain vistas, a meadow full of wildlife, easy access to beautiful hikes, Purgatory, Silverton, and Durango.We’ll be back.

Thoughts on the house……

We enjoyed lots of family time. Great place for a family reunion. If my sister and her husband had not owned a townhouse, we would not have known about dining or activities in the area. Would have liked being given info on usage rules etc. for use at Cascade Village. We found no sign -in book or info in the house. Also house was not clean, windows were not clean (lots of fingerprints and dust). Garage and porch need wholesale cleaning. We loved being together but the state of the kitchen was awful. We found pans, lids, baking sheets and utensils in four different locations. Once I spent a few hours cleaning and arranged things somewhat, at least we could cook meals. We hope these are helpful suggestions. We have stayed in many VRBO houses so expected this lovely home to be of similar quality! It was in size and location but just lacked some attention in cleanliness.

Perfect week!!!

We came in from Texas with friends and family for a week of Jeeping in the mountains and had a fabulous time!! The house was perfect, well appointed, clean, and exactly as described. Communication was top notch and check in and out was smooth and easy. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property with us! Would definitely stay again!

Great cabin for families

Was not so happy of the location, but it worked. The pictures are a little deceiving of the property, but it did accommodate us. The host was very helpful to us, wish we had a yard to play in but the grass was so tall we could not get off the pavement!

Excellent accommodations

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The activities in the area were fabulous. We loved the steam train, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking, ziplining, the mine tour in Silverton, & shopping. Our kids loved exploring along the nearby dirt road and the POOL! We also enjoyed the fire pit and being able to walk and hike nearby. The house was fully furnished with everything we needed. It was clean and there were enough beds for all 13 of us. And the views were fabulous along with the nearby wildlife. We definitely hated to leave!

Great time. Close to the skiing

This is a great spot my only criticism is that you don’t get to access the house until 4 pm on the day you arrive. Extremely clean, great layout and 1.7 miles from purgatory. 2 bedrooms and full bath on top floor. Master bed and bathroom on main floor. 2 bedrooms and bath on lower floor.

Great Property

Super location ! Great Views !We traveled to Silverton. Ouray, Telluride, and Mesa Verde and Durango. We facility has all the amenities you will need. We ate in every evening and found the kitchen to be very accommodating.

Lovely house, but is not isolated and major construction nearby

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was very clean and I appreciated the extra nice toiletries and having lots of cushy towels. We ended up cutting our trip two and a half days short though, because the house is currently positioned very close to a substantial amount of construction (a new sewer line and road running all along the entire side of the resort areas property, which includes the use of major construction equipment) and it is loud - so loud that our 2yr old daughter couldn’t nap, and it was hard on everyone. I wish the property would have mentioned this in the posting, we would have not spent $3,000 to only go for half the time. The house is also fairly close to the major road (“highway”) and we were there on a weekend that there was non-stop motorcycle and truck noise. We picked this location because the pictures made it look very remote, and were hoping for a quiet spot away, and it definitely wasn’t that. However if you are looking to be right off the major road and super close to Purgatory, then this spot would be great. Just wasn’t what we were hoping for.

Beautiful view in central location

This house was well equipped with everything that we needed for our children, grandchildren, and spouse. The porch is great to sit outside and we enjoyed feeding the birds abs watching.

25th anniversary with whole family

The house was very nice. It was gully stocked with blankets pillows towels cleaners laundry soap no extra paper towels . Lots of glasses dishes cooking pans utensils . There was a musty smell in the down stairs hall way and it came up the stairs and eventually into the bedrooms down there. Other than that it was very Nice lots of room. Two living areas with tv s and games lots of board games a wii game out door games in garage and at the property next door There was more outside seating than is pictured on the advertisement. Amazing views!!!!

Fantastic

Beautiful house next to a wall of aspens. The wrap-around deck lets you move around and find the perfect sitting space at any hour. Lots of hiking trails nearby.

perfect place

great place - one big note- please get rid of all the super bright white bulbs in the bedroom and living room . youcan get the same energy efificient ones in WARM temperature- like the old tungston bulbs. turning the lights on felt like being in a WALMART. not very welcoming after a long day!. thanks

Such an amazing getaway

We had 2 families of 4 and had the best time. There was plenty of room in the house. It was beautiful. We loved sitting and drinking our coffee looking at the mountains. The kids loved riding their bikes in the cul de sac and having the freedom and space to run around. We weren’t far from Durango and went to Silverton almost daily to run trails. Perfect Stay
