Wonderful home on a great property. Attentive hosts! Beautiful views with deer every day. Appreciated the king beds in each room with a bathroom . Just a few minor tweaks would make it even better. The stacked wood pile was very nice for the fireplace (would be helpful to have some tools though - poker/ tongs). Enjoyed the hot tub as well, but did not notice any new lighting. It is very dark heading out at night.

The property was impeccably clean so we left a generous tip to housekeeping. But there is some room for improvement. First, the walk down to the fire pit and hot tub is dangerous, especially at night as the pavement is boulder slabs and river rock. Plus there is no lighting down there. There was only one wine glass. The left refrigerator door has to be forced shut. Living area/kitchen lighting too bright, needs dimmer switches. There is air in the water pipes; weird noises come from the toilets when flushed. Lastly, the water is way too soft (slimey). Would we stay there again? Absolutely!

The property was as advertised. That said, we dealt with minor issues the entire time that made for a only adequate stay. The drains were dirty/gross and the house had a bad smell that was noticeable the whole time. The microwave didn't work and we had ants in the kitchen every morning. The size was good for our group, and the location was great for Nighthorse but not much else. The AC units were in each bedroom, and although they worked well, the living spaces were not cooled. Parking is great for guests with boats/trailers or several cars. Beautiful mountain surroundings. I likely would not recommend unless the issues are sorted. If they do resolve everything, it's a good option for large crowds that would like to frequent Lake Nighthorse.

Family sized Durango in the pines

We had a great time staying at this property. Plenty of room for families and a great location.It is located in a quite forested neighborhood just a short drive to downtown Durango. We will definitely return for another stay if we come back to this area.

Great family getaway

There were 9 of us, and it was plenty big. The kitchen needs to be stocked with more storage containers for leftovers. Its be nice to have more board games for different ages. But overall it’s a very nice property and a quick drive to downtown Durango.

This property was FANTASTIC and clean with lots of great amenities! We enjoyed the nature and the back patio. The only thing I would say is the rocked area going to the hot tub is kind of dangerous with little light and unsteady ground. Be careful! Otherwise, the hot tub and night sky to relax and look at the stars is INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much!

Perfect for our family vacation

We loved staying here. We loved each room having its own bathroom. The kids loved the arcade game. The ping pong was a hit as well. We loved seeing the deer visiting the property. The closeness to town was also nice. Loved that there was lots of outdoor seating around the fire table and other areas of seating outside as well.

It was an amazing property

Everyone ( party of 7) enjoyed everything about the property. Plenty of beds as advertised, very clean well latex home. (2) negatives water softener system was quite noisy and lacked water pressure. Also for some odd reason I found 2 bugs in my bedroom downstairs. They might want to check that out!

Good location with dog

We liked that there was a lot of room for our dog to roam. The house itself is a little worn. The bedrooms are spacious but the living area for the number of people that could be accommodated was small. The management company was alternatively nice and unreachable.

The house was not as it appeared in the website. Neighborhood was sketchy with beware of dog sign at the entrance of property, old furnishings, mattresses and bedding. Not up to the standards we have experienced at other VRBO properties.

Wonderful family vacation

Spacious and comfortable home for our group of seven. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong, and arcade games. Coffee in the morning on the patio was perfection! Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and very comfortable. Only negative was the noisy plumbing that sounded like there was air in the pipes. We chose to drink bottled water because of the "salty" taste of the treated water.

Great Location

House was clean and worked great for our family of 8. The house doesn’t have “whole house AC” but the bedrooms stayed nice and cool with AC units in each bedroom. Even though it was warm a few days, the house cools off nicely with the windows open. Overall, the house was clean and we enjoyed the grill, hot tub and fire-pit. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Durango.

This Remote Home COULD BE "Luxury"

The home is in a great remote quiet setting. Hot tub & stargazing was wonderful! However, the home would be "luxury" with maintenance/modifications. The garage entry sewer odor from the water treatment system was overwhelming! The kitchen pull-out faucet head was broken and sprayed wildly all around when used. The oven lower drawer was unable to be opened. The fridge ice maker was turned off. Notified the host who advised us we could turn on the ice maker and sent a tech who fixed the drawer but not the faucet! We used duct-tape to make the faucet “functional!” Lastly, the massive air sputtering and pressure extremes in the kitchen also applied to the water system throughout the house. Every sink, toilet and shower produced obnoxious loud sputtering/pressure changes throughout our multi-day stay! Suggestions: Address the water system air! Vent the garage water system or re-locate it. Add low lighting to hot tub area as 2 guests fell at the rock step. Have property management address issues before renter arrival: duct-taped broken window in the living room, refrigerator light was a strobe light, ice maker made about a cup of ice/day, master bath towel ring fell off the wall, a 3' piece of chair-rail was hanging down in the dining room. Advise renters ACs are portable and will need to be put in windows. Get rid of the black Mr Coffee coffee maker as it ruined 2 pots of coffee using two different types of filters. Would recommend if issues addressed!

Accommodating well built home on a nice lot

Had all the essentials and the upstairs bedrooms were very insulated from the downstairs noise so it was great for a napping toddler. Would give 5 stars but the hot tub didn’t get hot. Management was very kind and applied a discount to our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent Property

We had a family wedding in Durango so we stayed for three nights. We had a mix of ages ranging from 12-76 and the house was perfect for everyone. The kids enjoyed the video game and hot tub and there was plenty of space inside and outside the house for the adults to relax and hangout. I appreciated that fact that there were four full bathrooms so getting ready for the wedding was easy. Lastly, when we checked in we had a problem with the Wi-Fi. I called to report the problem and got a call back within 3 minutes. Just nice to know if you do have an issue, you get a response right away
