Overall experience

Location is fantastic. Surroundings have beautiful scenery. Cleanliness in actual house was pathetic. Floors full of dust, mice poops,Bugs on top of beds and a dead mice in one of the rooms. Bed Sheets smelled really bad and upstairs house heater really doesn’t get to two rooms, so it gets very cold. Fireplace upstairs doesn’t work and we where not advised. Someone needs to supervise before guests check in if property mangers know that there are mice in area.

Nice house

This is a very nice property with one shortcoming if you rent it for the summer time. There is no AC which makes the interior heat up during the day to 80+ degrees. The house has a lot of fans but it doesn’t cool the house during the day. Other than that it’s a very nice house.

Perfect Location!

We had the best stay in Durango in this gorgeous home surrounded by flowing water. It was seriously perfect. So relaxing. The home had ever needed and more. Our family of 11 was more than comfortable during our stay.

Family summer vacation

We’ve been staying in vacation rentals for several years and I’ve have to say this was our family’s favorite. The location on the river and the full court basketball court gave the entire family plenty to do without leaving the property. We loved it. We’d definitely rent it again if we come back to Durango.

We had a family of 10 all over 18 and there was plenty of room. Great location for going to both Durango and Silverton. We white water rafted, rode horses, took a tour of Mesa Verde, rode the train to Silverton and rode the Jeep trails outside of Silverton. Great trip

Great location.

This was a great place. Like other reviews it's uncommonly warm in Colorado and not having air conditioning was a bummer. The kitchen floor was pretty dirty upon arrival and the bathroom and laundry lights didn't work. Other than those very minor issues we would stay here again.

Great memories

The home was great and exactly as described. The location was great and the views were amazing seeing the snow, river, and mountains out the back door. There were a lot of great winter activities in the area for our enjoyment. We would definitely go back!!

Mountain Vacation

My family enjoyed this property. Beautiful location with the mountains and the river. My brother was very excited when he caught a rainbow trout in the river in front of the house.

Great place for the whole family!

Great location along the Animas River. The yard was perfect for kids to run and play. Hot tub was a so nice for the cool evenings. Kitchen was great for making family dinners. Game room was a hit for the whole family! We will be back!

Durango ski weekend

We had a great time, the home is in a beautiful location right near the river and was well equipped for our stay. The kids had a blast, and the hot tub was a big perk for them. Highly recommend :)

End of the year ski trip

This property was everything we imagined it would be, it had plenty of room for six adults and six kids ( ages 10-16 ). The house is conveniently located between Durango and Purgatory Ski resort so it was easy for us to get to the lifts when they opened as well as make the grocery runs into town. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful house.

The Happy Family House

We had the best time on this property. The kids loved the basement area and the yard was like heaven for running and playing. The adults had plenty of space and the kitchen was perfect for the big meals we prepared each night. We were a family of 6 adults and 6 children and everyone had plenty to do and plenty of room to do it in. We are already talking about coming back!

What a FABULOUS vacation! Definitely will be back!

You will be amazed right when you walk in through the doors; the pictures online do not do it justice!! We stayed 7 nights, 2 families (4 adults, 6 kids, ages 8-13). Here's what we loved: 1. The Kitchen - WOWZA! So spread out with plenty of kitchenware, etc. Super perk: 2 ovens and 2 wine refrigerators!! I love to cook, so we cooked every night while we were here. 2. Bedrooms - plentiful and spacious. Loved the layout of each room. 3. Downstairs playrooms - yes, playrooms (plural)!! There are 2 rooms in the "basement" area that our kids pretty much hung out in the entire time we were there. They played video games down here. Tried to play the ping pong table, but it was messed up and wasn't straight, so we didn't use it much. The adults also went down here because for some reason, it was much cooler down here than anywhere in the house. 4. Back patio with hot tub and walkway to river and fire pit - The back patio was superb, we spent every night out here for hours! Either sitting around the fire pit, wading in the icy cold river, or staring up at the stars AND shooting stars! Such an amazingly beautiful sight! The hot tub was very nice too; although we couldn't get the temperature to lower once heated up or the light in it to work, but didn't stop us from using it! Our only complaints: 1. Internet was REALLY slow, maybe consider installing mesh routers? It was hard to look up places to explore or recipes when cooking. The only area that got somewhat of good reception was in the master beroom balcony patio. 2. No A/C, which is not common in Colorado anyway. We went when Colorado experienced some of its hottest weather in a while. Being outside was much cooler than being inside, even with the abundant amount of fans running. Hotter weather also brought on the gnats, SO MANY GNATS! Overall, we would definitely go back! Thank you!

WHAT A PLACE!

“Oh my goodness’” is what every member of my family said as we walked into this magnificent property! Such a beautiful location with our own private river in the back yard! Our excitement reached a new level as we opened a new door! And that kitchen!!! Wow! We cannot wait to get back to Durango, Colorado, and to use this property again!

Outstanding property

Lack of cellular service made communication between guests difficult. A second or bigger coffee pot would be nice. It lacked advertised alarm clocks and some did not function properly. Impossible to read in bed at night in master bedroom. These are minor complaints on an otherwise fantastic property

Large Family Vacation

Our family had a great time at this property! We especially enjoyed being by the river and used the fire pit nightly. The house was comfortable for the 10 of us and would have accommodated more people. Lori was very helpful and quickly available. We would rent this property again.

Great Vacation Spot

This property is amazing! This house was nice and spacious. We had 12 in our group and there is more than enough space in this house. The wood floors are beautiful, and the beds all comfortable. We only had one small issue while there and the management company responded very quickly. They are very nice people. We spent a lot of time outdoors at this property. The rivers were full and the lawn beautifully manicured. The kids loved the basketball court and game room downstairs. I would definitely stay here again!

Great house, but needs better management.

The house was spacious and worked well for our family. The location was great. However, the house needs some repairs and needs to be much cleaner. The property management needs to do a better job for this house.
