We loved our stay here. We will definitely come back. It was a perfect place for two families with children. Enough room for all the spread out and for the kids to play. We enjoyed baking cookies and cooking meals in the very well equipped kitchen. The kids had a blast sledding in the back yard. House was clean comfortable and cozy. We were a little disappointed that the play structure wasn’t there anymore, but the kids still had fun!

This place was a dream! We cannot wait to return! Perfect for families, this place has everything. We caught rainbow trout in the river just down the path from the house, enjoyed the hot tub at night, and sat out on the patio in the morning to enjoy our coffee and listen to the river.

Visiting from SWFL, we were looking for a special place to escape the heat and unwind. River Run provided just that! A quick drive to downtown Durango, this home offered the ideal mix of peace, comfort, and adventure. We spent our days soaking in the warm sunshine and our evenings enjoying the clear, crisp mountain air. We even had a deer show up right off the back deck!The sound of the river just outside was pure relaxation. Whether we were sipping coffee by the fireplace or battling it out in our family ping pong tournament, every moment here felt special. It was the perfect home base for our trip, including a fun evening at the rodeo in nearby Cortez, CO. This place had everything we needed to truly unplug and connect. Highly recommend!

Durango River Run May 2025

The home is great and has so many places to kick back by yourself with a book and a view or join the crowd for meals and games. The river is accessible and can be fished, though with the flow rates during our stay in May, not an ideal fishing spot. The sound of the water from the deck is calming. The kitchen is gorgeous and stocked well if your plan is to cook onsite.

You couldn't ask for a better Colorado experience!! Riverfront, Hot Tub, quiet, peaceful, wildlife, great beds, great kitchen, dining room, family rooms. We have stayed in many rental homes and this was the best!

Great!

What you see is what you get. A clean home with space inside and out to play. We had some trouble with the thermostats but I’m sure it was user error. We loved the land, half the family did a cold plunge in the animas! We went on walks up the road and by the river. The hot tub was a hit. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. We did use the fireplace which was a blast for me! We truly had a great time at this home!

Great location, just as described in the listing and great views all throughout the property. Kitchen is very well stocked and has all your cooking supplies and seasoning. Easy and close drive to downtown Durango. Really a fantastic property and house. You will not be disappointed and I would definitely book here again.

Beautiful river location

This property is just a few miles out of Durango in a very quiet neighborhood. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was smooth. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the river. Would love to return.

Summer Bike Trip

Property was excellent overall. We did have some concerns as two screen doors had broken screens. The garage door did not work which is a security issue for the property. I contacted the management firm when we arrived but no one answered and the voice mailbox was full. The system asked if I wanted to send an SMS message which I did. Did not hear back from anyone. The cleaning lady stopped by to drop off laundry soap which was nice. Great facility, great location, had an excellent time. Would come back in a hear beat!

Gorgeous home on the Animas River

We loved the house and was very comfortable for our family of 4. The living area in the basement was perfect for us to all lounge out when watching movies/shows. The master suite had it’s own private balcony which was nice right on the river. The kitchen and outside patio with grill had everything we needed for a wonderful home cooked meal. We really loved our Durango stay!
