We had a wonderful time at the Durango Hideout. The house is located in town (about a 15 minute walk to the shops/train/etc.), yet has a secluded private feel to it. There is another house on one side, but there are blinds on the windows you can close. The backyard is against the hillside, and there is a cute little deck with cafe table/chairs and grill for enjoying the back yard. The house in nicely furnished, the beds comfortable, and great linens. Kitchen is very well equipped - we cooked a few nights there. Everything was perfect for us and we would stay again if in the area.

This was the greatest place in the whole world. Seriously. We loved the location, light and bright and so comfortable. Cooking in the kitchen was a dream. Ohh and the balcony/porch was amazing. Thank you. Our stay was magical. Beds were comfortable, they thought of everything.

Gorgeous, functional and spacious. Great for multiple guest groups with an upstairs bedroom, walk in closet with lots of cubes for stacking clothing, a beautiful en suite with huge shower, and a gorgeous view of the mountains from the windows. Also on this floor is the common area, easy to work in kitchen, long island to sit/stand/eat, and second story deck. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms, full bath and a common/tv area with two bunks too! Location - perfect - easy access to Horse Gulch and a short ride or walk downtown. This is our second stay here and never disappointed.

Fantastic Durango Home

House is fantastic. Beautiful. Great outdoor space. Well laid out. Incredibly well stocked and fitted. One of my favorite VRBO stays ever. Would go back in a nano second. The owner was very helpful when needed (which wasn’t much) and very accommodating when we had a wrinkle with my daughter’s dogs. We were there for our daughter’s wedding and it just couldn’t have been better.

Fantastic Vacation Stay!

We were in Durango for a family reunion and stayed here with several members of our family. The house was perfect in every way: well equipped, great gathering space, lots of great light, and lovely. You only need to show up with your clothes and toiletries—everything else is there!! We had a great time here. It is also close to Main Street Durango and supermarkets. A great time was had by all!!

What an incredible home! Perfect layout for a family gathering and lots of cooking and meals together. The house is immaculate and the shower in the master suite is amazing! I highly recommend this home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Best home I’ve rented in all of Vrbo!

Durango Hideout

Wonderful experience at the Hideout. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. Our two grandchildren (6 and 9) stayed with us for 1 night. The kids slept in the bunkbeds and played with the toys in the den. They loved it.The Hideout is a beautiful, modern property, with very attractive furnishings and artwork. It is described accurately in the listing. The location is perfect for walking to Main Street in downtown Durango (15 minutes) or 5 minutes to coffee shops, and a great breakfast restaurant. And there are nearby trail heads for riding mountain bikes on a variety of excellent trails. The sunset and views from the living room deck are spectacular. The kitchen is very well equipped and the patio off the kitchen has a nice gas grill. When we had questions, the owner responded quickly. In summary, we had a great time and we will certainly try to book it again when we return to Durango.

Fun times in Durango

The family had a great time from shopping to visiting the museum in Durango. We also had a great time eating at some of the restaurants in town. Part of the family went hiking in the surrounding area and were excited about the vistas they were able to see. All of this was achieved by the great location of the hideout which is close to downtown. We were greeted the first day by a family of deer out the back porch. The entire family loved all of the aspects of the house.

Great location, beautiful home!

We had a group of four friends who stayed at the VRBO. The place was absolutely beautiful! Four separate bedrooms. Top notch! Incredible location. The Silverton Railway is about a mile walk. It was perfect for our group. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
