Comfortable place with everything we needed to cook and do some laundry. The wood burning stove was nice for some cool nights and they had plenty of firewood. The location was great a little out of town (exactly what we were looking for) but still close enough that getting to town was very easy.

Amazing! Incredible location directly on the river, adorable, very well appointed cabin, comfortable, cozy, clean. 20 - 30 minutes from downtown but an easy drive and we LOVED the location. We did one incredible gravel ride from the front door and another around Vallecito reservoir.

We loved our stay at the cozy cabin. There were a couple things that were in disrepair, otherwise this would’ve been a five star rating. One of the outdoor tables was not useable due to being broken. Another chair had a broken arm. Almost all of the solar lights were broken and portions missing altogether. Would’ve loved these because we did spend time outdoors after hours. The house was furnished very comfortably - TONS of linens which we loved. The dishwasher, washer and dryer were super helpful. Lots of dishes and glassware and many kitchen amenities like foil, seasonings, etc. Much appreciated. The river was the best. We spent many hours outside with our family. The house is not new and has little quirks to be expected with a small space, but the “boys house” was extra special and they loved having their own hide out. We’d love to come back - we all voted, would return!!!

River Rush

All I hoped it would be. Had been looking forward to our visit the entire winter and did not disappoint. Spent each morning with my coffee out looking at the sunshine on the rushing water. Being greeted by an ouzel, crane or duck flying the river. A momma duck with 8 babies swimming upstream near the shore was a treat! They all fought the rapids and made it to the destination. Bed was comfortable and just the right amount of bedding to keep window cracked to hear the water. Instant hot water for shower :- Was a great getaway to relax.

The location of this cabin is pretty amazing. It sits right on the river and it’s beautiful. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying along the river. The house is nicely appointed with plenty of games @ puzzles for our one rainy day. Fish were caught, meals were shared and relaxation was had in abundance. We’ll definitely return for a longer stay.

Sitting by the river was awesome! But in order to go out the kitchen door to the deck we had to go outside the cabin around and use a key to unlock the door so we could open it, the keypad on that door does not work. There were weeds and dandelions all over the yard nothing was really groomed the deck was dirty the coals for the little grill wouldn't light, no matches or lighter to light it. We bought new fluid, coals and lighter that we brought home with us. The bathroom lights flickered most the time. I'd like to believe it was clean, but after taking the pillow cases off, I was disappointed to see a blood stain on one pillows and the others were questionable. Nice location from Durango. Easy to find. Bed was fairly comfortable. We've stayed in better maintained homes and cabins. Sorry to disappoint you but I feel this quaint little cabin could use some love. Thank you,Darla

Peaceful Getaway

This is the third year in a row I’ve stayed at this cabin. The first year was just to visit Durango then I started riding in the Iron Horse bike race. I plan on staying at this place every year moving forward. The creek behind the place is awesome and it’s only twenty minutes or so from Durango.

Perfect cabin by the river

We celebrated our 22nd Anniversary at this beautiful cabin! It was perfect and we enjoyed the river running through the backyard. Cabin was very clean. Great location from town. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy this place again.
