Hello- I’ll be leaving a few items in my review. I wanted to make you aware that the window in the downstairs bedroom keeps coming open with the wind. We taped it shut from the outside shortly ago. It was disappointing that most windows were broken and we couldn’t let fresh air in when it got hot in the house. The second master bedroom door doesn’t stay closed, door hole needs to be realigned. Blinds are broken in a few places in the house, including secondary master. . Bottom drawer of refrigerator was broken and we opted not to use it and break it further. Not sure why there was a charge to push two twin size beds together? We could have done that ourselves. We thought it would be swapped for a king mattress, not comfortable. Overall, the house was nice but all these little things made me question what we paid for the house. For the rate, I would recommend fixing these things. We paid over 9k for the week and we couldn’t even keep the door to our room closed. Also electricity flickers in rooms. (Ex: when using blow dryer in master bedroom). Suggestion to check this out. Bugs in the house, we killed ladybugs almost everyday in bedrooms and living room and small bugs in bathrooms and one found on coffee cup. Suggestion: have house treated. We will be checking out tomorrow at 10:00 am. Thank you

Property was remarkably clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. Plenty of blankets for the cool nights and for outdoor sitting. Bathrooms were well stocked with everything all essentials. Hot tub was very nice with plenty of towels. The house was decorated beautifully and comfortable.Great location and nice outdoor space. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is the perfect size for a large group and had enough seats for all of us to eat together. We appreciated the plethora of bathrooms to allow for privacy and speed as there was very little need to share. The location was quiet and it was easy to get where we needed without traffic as a hinderance.

The house and property were perfect for our family and with all accommodations to go with it. Very spacious setup for a big family vacation! I would recommend to others and would definitely stay there again if available. Host was great and tended to the property during our stay to keep it looking prestige!

Everything we needed and more.

All 6 families (from 5 different cities) agreed this place was a perfect place to celebrate our family birthdays. We took advantage of the location and spent time at James Ranch and Durango Hot Springs and Spa. Both were ideal for our group with adults and toddlers. There was more than enough room to spread out for our 10 adults and 2 kids. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The kitchen was very well appointed for the meals we cooked ourselves. There were lots of toys for the kids and plenty of activities for all ages. Property manager was very quick to reply to my questions before and during our stay.

The front lawn is amazing and the yard games they provided were so much fun! The property is large and has plenty of spaces for a large group. The property was well stocked for our group. The extra frigerators in the garage were an added bonus. The location just north of Durango is quiet with breathtaking views of the red cliffs. The property managers were attentive and responsive. Our only feedback is to carefully read the contract reguarding extra fees (ie. Early check in/late check out, hot tub water overspill). Some of them seems a bit unnecessary for the property, but if you are aware of them ahead of time it is okay.

Fantastic Family and Friends Retreat!

Our group of four families (16 total) had a fantastic three day weekend. The tall spruce house could easily have accommodated six more people! Tons of great space here. Great big kitchen and dining area to gather. Everything was fantastic, and the manager gave us a heads up about all the little nuances to be aware of as we got 33 inches of snow! Thanks!

Great house and location, could use some TLC

We had a wonderful time at the house with 19 people. As other reviews stated the kitchen is well stocked, but we wish there had been an electric griddle for pancakes. There was a plethora of games, movies, yard toys, books, puzzles, and anything you would want to do. There was new carpet in all the bedrooms which was very nice and plenty of beds and bedding for our whole group. We had some little ones in our group so we stuck around the house quite a bit. All the grandkids loved the hot tub and playing in the huge front yard. The kitchen cupboards could use a good scrubbing, many of the windows didn't open and the air conditioning in in just 3 rooms. There are MANY notes and rules around the house, and the instructions on how to keep the house cool did work for us, but the hottest day was just 85 degrees. We didn't like that toilet paper wasn't provided and we had to buy that. The porch, firepit, and yard furniture are great and we loved the location. Close enough to Durango so you could get there in just minutes but far enough away that we didn't have traffic or noise. I would recommend this house and we may stay there again if we go back to Durango with our family.

Tall Spruce House

The property was great. Management not so much. Watches everything you do will text you if you put an inflatable kiddy pool on the lawn to remove it even if it was only on lawn a few hrs because it might kill the lawn because its happened in the past, will call 30 min after you leave to find out what supposed red spots in the white/ light carpet is so they know how to treat it. Makes you feel like you are watched all the time and makes you feel you didn't take care of the property even if you go above and beyond the rules to leave it clean and respected. House was a 9 management a 4

Family trip Durango

Great space with plenty of room for our family group of 18. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the large front yard and deck. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed for cooking and the outside grills worked great. Most of our questions/concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Our last night a mouse came out from under the oven and there were droppings under the oven. Otherwise the house was very clean. There were some minor overall maintenance issues…many outlets did not work, a couple of upstairs sinks drained very slowly and shower door in the smaller master bath upstairs fell out of the track.

New Year Family Vacay

We were very happy with the layout of the property. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable and spread out enough for privacy. Loved the large kitchen and dining table. Enjoyed the hot tub as well as the pool table and gaming area. The master suite was spacious and having the extra room made it more relaxing. The property is easy to get too and just far enough out of town to feel like you are out in countryside.

Great House for large group!

Big Beautiful house in great location! We enjoyed our stay here! This house was clean, has lots of room for a large group and a well stocked kitchen. The teens had lots of fun using the ping pong, fuse ball & pool tables. We would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful House for Our Family

My children, grandchildren, and I stayed at this beautiful house for five days this past July. We enjoyed the time spent here. The house was clean and spacious. The rooms were attractively decorated. It was perfect for a large extended family. We loved the tall windows looking out at the mountains.The kitchen was one of the most well-stocked kitchens we've ever had while staying in homes.. The second fridge/freezer in the garage next to the kitchen was a great help. The house had toys and games for the kids. The garage had fun games and activities for the kids to play with outside. We especially loved the two outside patios. We loved playing board games on the large front patio table while the kids played on the huge lawn. I can recommend this house as a great place to stay.

Great space for large family!

Extended family stayed here for a week for an event in Durango. The setting was beautiful! There were several living spaces inside and out that allowed us to spread out when needed, but also gather together for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the dishes and utensils we needed, and some extra items we hadn’t expected—a very pleasant surprise! We did have to get a little creative with sleeping arrangements since our group was mostly adults, but the futons, roll-away beds, and foam mattress topper all helped make it work out! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend for other large families!
