"Very helpful and pleasant owners who went over and above to help with securing elusive taxis to the ferry terminal. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was great. Parking very convenient and free. I would highly recommend this b&b."

"Everything great, except that when we booked we informed you that my wife had a breathing problem and used oxygen, and also asked whether you had a lift, to which the answer was yes. On arrival we were given a room on the side without a lift, so my wife was obliged to struggle up and down the stairs. On the side where there was a lift, the sitting room and restaurants required no use of stairs. Obviously you decided to ignore our problem for some other convenience of the hotel management. "

"This is a fantastic example of faded glory. It's a brilliant hotel, with great staff and all the facilities I wanted, as well as an excellent location for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. If you're looking for a shiny modern finish that costs the earth then this isn't for you. But if you value service, atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food I can highly recommend it."

"While the outside of the building has seen better days the staff were very helpful, there was motorcycle parking I was comfortable with , and the room was spacious and clean. Pub next door did a decent dinner."

"We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in Craigmount. Nicole en Malcolm zijn heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Er was zelfs een aparte zitkamer met lekkere banken voor de gasten. Heerlijke bedden en vers ontbijt. Tijdens ons verblijf was er ook de mogelijkheid om tegen vergoeding avondeten (home cooked) te gebruiken. Deze waren erg goed, met verse groente."

"It’s an old property- if you love quirky you’ll love it. If you want pristine, you won’t. Food was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. Spent time talking to the owners who are fantastic people- including the son as chef. If character and informal brilliance are your thing go. If not don’t. And the views….."
