90th Birthday Celebration
Loved our stay celebrating my Dad’s 90th birthday. Wonderful view of the river and enjoyed all the outdoor activities- kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. Amber was great and prompt with communication.

The Perfect Place for A Great Family Time!
Stayed with extended family over Thanksgiving. A very fun and functional house for a larger group. The spring/river access is AWESOME. Booking, check-in/check-out was super easy. Our host, Amber is very helpful and accommodating! A GREAT TIME was had by all!

Best vacation rental on the rainbow River!!
This home is truly the cleanest,most well appointed home we have rented on Rainbow River for the last 5 years we have been coming here.It was our 55th wedding anniversary and all our children and 11 grandchildren were here.We cooked together,boated to the head springs, and watched the kids from our back porch run,jump in the river that was not too deep and kayaked all day long.It was a magical vacation and all agreed we would do again next year!!Thanks Amber!!

Paradise on the river!
This property is a jewel. We were a party of four families and the house had plenty of room for all. The oxbow was the perfect place to relax and play in the water either before going out on the river or at the end of the day. The owners were wonderful; when the gas grill stopped working they delivered another grill within an hour. I can’t recommend this place and the owners enough!

Family reunion
Everyone enjoyed their stay , the house was very comfortable for the ten of us. Their was so much to do , fishing , kayaking , tubing , swimming , and the four children ,ages five to eight ,were very safe crossing over to the island and playing. Amber , the property manager , was very quick to respond to my texts and followed through with resolving a few minor concerns and questions we had. We would definitely recommend this home and stay here again.

Location Location Location
This is our second stay at this house and we have already planned for next year! The location is honestly the best on the river, the house is exactly as pictured. Everyone had plenty of room and the swimming area is perfect for kids. Amber is a great host with excellent communication. I cannot give this home enough stars! Love this River House
This house is perfect for Close family and friends, as most people chooses to use the master bathroom. The view from this river house is so peaceful! You can walk out of the back door right into the river! We have stayed at this home a handful of times and each time gets better!

Amazing getaway
The spring was absolutely gorgeous in the back yard and the kids LOVED the rope swing. It was far enough to feel secluded but close enough for a Walmart or swampys run. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Comfortably slept 16 people (kids and adults) and never felt on top of eAchother :-)

Great Florida experience
This is our second time staying here. The house is great - very sprawling and spacious. We brought our 16 year old and his friends up for a birthday weekend. They played on the river, put a tent up in the front yard and enjoyed the fire ring and just generally hung out and had a lovely time. The upstairs "kid" room with its own porch is a great feature to give kids space. The location is ideal - on a very quiet part of the river (at least in December), but close to town to run errands and near the trail for a quick run. The house has everything you need include a very helpful ton of towels. Communication with the owner/manager was easy. Beds are comfortable with plenty of clean linens. Our only disappointment is that the bridge to the island is down. We will definitely return.

The house is amazing, Rainbow River is amazing and the host Amber is amazing! It's our 2nd time and we are already planning our 3rd and 4th. The house is perfect for any size group, you can have privacy or be altogether. Rainbow River is pristine. We swam, kayaked and rented a poontoon

excellent place!!
I have rented a lot through VRBO and by far this has been the best. Owner was super easy to communicate with. The place was beautiful, clean and very spacious. My adult kids loved the pool table. We played volley ball in the river right out back and many tubing/kayak trips. The table definitely adds conversation to dinner and games. The whole middle part turns. Plenty of trash cans for families that like to cook. Would recommend rental highly.

This is our 2nd time staying at this lovely property! Beautiful and relaxing- great trails to run nearby, beautiful scenes to paint en plein air. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, love the lazy Susan dining room table and pool table. 4 stars!

This is a lovely place to stay. The bridge to the island is now gone, so you will have to go through the water to access the island. There are two refrigerators which is great, and be careful placing things in the freezer drawer in the one on the screened porch - it gets jammed. Very relaxing environment. The new deck overlooking the stream is lovely. Suggest you have a thermocell, to use while sitting on the deck in the evenings.

Love staying here. It’s far enough up river where the water is still clear, but just off the main run so you don’t get all the tube traffic right in front of you. Room to park my 16’ skiff right in front.

We booked this location for a family gathering. There is plenty of space to spread out, kitchen was great to cook for everyone. We enjoyed our time sitting by the river, using the kayaks, and even floating into town. Host was excellent.

Wonderful
Beautiful home, location, EVERYTHING was wonderful. Give yourself some extra time check out AM for towels as dryer is slow—- but everything was just perfect. This is the very best location for little kids since water is shallow between house and island. Take kids fishing poles and bait— hot dogs were perfect!!! We are going back next year!

Paradise! Perfect for Kids!
This was the BEST FAMILY VACAY EVER! Everyone from the babies to the great grands had a fabulous time. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone and the dining table was perfect for dinner and game nights. The favorite was the shallow area for kids to swim and paddle board and the island was a kid paradise! We are planning our next trip already. Amber was super and the location is by far the best on the river!!!

River is beautiful but property is not maintained
The river is beautiful but the property is in need of major maintenance/cleaning. The inside of the house smells like mold and the room upstairs is terrible. The property looks like it was decorated from a garage sale. The river seawall has metal irons popping out of the water that is a major liability especially with a swinging rope near by. The property is spacious and the kitchen was nice but overall was disappointed. The property has so much potential but has been abandoned.

Thank you for your review however this is the first time I have heard of such complaints. People love the round table and pool table, jacuzzi tubs and showers. We have never smelled mold or seen mold in our home so I’m not sure what that is about. This is an extremely popular rental and we have new double ovens, cooktop and dishwasher. Granite and marble countertops etc. We have been at $490 a night since 2013 making this the largest and most affordable rental on the river with a private island. We are just now beginning to raise our rates. Apologies that you felt that our home was not up to your standards. I’d love to see your reviews on other homes on the river as these properties require constant maintenace. Sincerely, Amber

Nature at its finest
Location is the greatest. We saw tons of birds, fish, turtles, and even a little 2 ft alligator (far from the property). The little slice of river is fairly secluded, perfect depth for the kids.

Amazing house and location!
Our experience with this VRBO was excellent! The owner was very responsive and available. We stayed at the house with 6 adults and 6 tweens/teens- plenty of room for everyone to sleep and have their own space. The house is gorgeous, with so many features that make it perfect for a large family group (games, pool table, kayaks, paddleboard, large front yard for ball, fire pit, etc.). The kitchen made making large meals for 12 easy. There is a huge pantry to store items, 2 fridges, double oven, and plenty of utensils and dishes. The dining table with the lazy Susan was the best! Outside you can never get bored with the island hammock or just playing in the stream. The kids loved the kayaks and paddleboard. We did tube down to the bridge (about 45 min) and walked back to house. House was well stocked with linens and towels....it had basically everything we needed. In previous reviews, I could never get a clear idea of the bedroom break-down so here is what I saw. The master had a king bed (full bathroom in room), there's a small room with a double bed, a twin bed, and a crib. Another room off the half-bath (access from room or hallway) had a queen bed. The front room had a queen bed and access to full bath from room or hallway. The upstairs loft had three beds...I think a queen and two twin beds. And the "nook" had a full size mattress. We slept 6 adults and 6 kids easily with everyone having their own space. I will definitely rent here again!

Best Family River House!
Our whole family, from 4 months to 73, enjoyed this spacious, beautiful home. The location is perfect. The lagoon off of the river and the private island made it so much fun. Our grandchildren from 5-19 and the adults so enjoyed it. We brought kayaks, a SUP, and canoe to add to the two kayaks and paddleboard at the house. The house is clean, beautiful, and well stocked with basics that are generously provided. We hope to return and enjoy this property again.

Beautiful location on the Rainbow River
The location of this rental was idea, right on the rainbow river with a small island which gave it some privacy. The river is ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The home was spacious enough for the 15 family members we had staying. There was plenty of parking. The large table in the dining area allowed for us all to enjoy meals together. The kitchen had plenty of room for cooking and food prep. The back deck and property made for pleasant views, as well as enjoying time by the fire pit. The owner was very responsive to e-mails and sought and responded to feedback. This rental is a very good value for the location, size and amenities. I will recommend it to others and will consider renting it again.

Spacious home on the river
We had a wonderful time. It was very spacious and comfortable. Nice kitchen. Very clean. Only 2 full bathrooms. Another would have been preferable. It was nice to have the kayaks and paddleboards. We rented a pontoon boat and kept it right there at the property which was great. And, for a large group, the huge round dining table complete with lazy Susan made family dinners with 10 absolutely wonderful. We were hoping to find something resembling a beach within driving distance, but gave up so be aware if that's what you're looking for. This is a river, fishing, kayaking home. Our only real disappointment was the advertised pool table. None of the cues had tips on them. We found a tip and were able to glue it on. But, the table itself was pretty trashed and leaning so badly that it was impossible to use. There were, however, a great many games in the closet and the TV had everything and was easy to use.

Amazing. We will come back.
The pictures don't do it justice it is absolutely gorgeous! It accommodated nine adults and two kids perfectly. We had a great time canoeing and kayaking on the beautiful Rainbow River. The 8-year-old and 6-year-old swam in the river right in front of the house. The six-year-old took her little fishing pole and fished from the bridge that crosses over to the island. We are already to go back! Amber was amazing answering all of her questions and taking care of anything we needed.

Just as Amazing as Last Time!
This was our second stay at this Rainbow River property and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect, having the private channel off the main river for lounging and big times for the younger ones. The house is very clean and well stocked and all the furniture is very comfortable. There are a few minor repairs needed but overall there were no complaints from this large crew! We hope to be back again soon!
