"Booked a short stay and chose Crockgarve after reading the reviews. To be honest it seemed too good to be true but I am thrilled to be proven wrong. The location and room was stunning and exactly what we needed for our stay. What really made it special was Margo. Margo could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible from the welcome drink with her and her husband to the amazing breakfasts, you are made to feel so welcome and part of the family. "The owner Julianna was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic. The interior of the property is amazing, in fact it’s jaw dropping. Even her lovely cuddly dog (bear) will give you a warm welcome. Highly recommend."

"Loved the location, quiet and lovely grounds. Was quite far from any towns, so if that is important, it might be something to consider. Not enough towels. Tiny kitchen area. All bedrooms and the only bathroom were all up a huge flight of stairs and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very pricey for what was offered. Would get unaffordable quickly if you stayed for very long. But it was a lovely home in a lovely area and very quiet and clean. "

"We were staying at hotel to attend a function elsewhere in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly and we were given an upgrade to executive suite. The check in staff member handled a situation very well when another guest interrupted during our check-in. The hotel was clean and comfortable with good facilities."

"The hotel was a bit dull, I had to pay in advance; although I had to pay an expensive room, they charged me an extra cost of more than 30 pounds to change the king bed to twin beds which is unacceptable and additionally we were located in a room for disabled people although we requested a different one. The options in the breakfast were very poor and the service a bit slow. I would not recommend this hotel at all: too expensive and poor service and it is not even well located."

"Una pésima experiencia: nos dieron una habitación donde justo al frente realizaban la celebración de un cumpleaños. Llegamos a las 8:00 pm luego de un viaje trasatlántico al hotel y el karaoke, ruidos y risas de la fiesta terminó hasta las 11:30 pm. Aunque nos dijeron 'que el hotel estaba lleno y no podían movernos de habitación', creo que eso no era cierto pues temprano por la mañana siguiente el lugar se veía bastante vacío. No recomiendo este hotel, pues lo que pensé que sería un merecido...

"We only booked one night as we didn’t know how long we needed to stay due to a family situation. The hotel kept our room open whether we used it or not and only charge for the days we are here at discounted rates. All staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and hugely empathetic. "
