Fabulous location, well equipped apartments
The Majestic Mansions provides spacious apartment accommodation minutes from the sea front in St Clair. Separate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and lounge room gives you all the space you need and all the equipment and appliances to be as self contained as you like. There are restaurants and cafes a stone's throw away and you'll be on the seafront in a minutes walk. Dunedin City is a short drive away providing lots to do and see. We were able to get the free undercover parking every time without effort which was a real boon. The only negative is the steps up from the street and internally if you are not on the ground floor. We were on the ground floor and steps were not a deal breaker for us.

I love this place - this is my fourth time staying here. The facilities are lovely - up-to-date and modern design that respects the Art Deco architecture. You can see and hear the sea and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bus to the city stops outside the door and there is easy parking. Close to great cafes and restaurants. Lovely walks along the beach. I always stay here when I am in Dunedin. Thanks Penny and team!

Full of character, with good quality, tasteful furnishings. Lots of space, with a fabulous view from the top floor apartments. Very convenient to the beach and awesome cafes. A great spot to stay!

Lovely old property, well presented and a selection of cafes in close walking distance. One block from the ocean, so good for walks. The host was very efficient, helpful and informative.

Majestic By Name But Not By Standard
Disappointing. Two flights of stairs plus at least a flight of stairs to get to the front door. Substandard bathroom. Wedges of wood in each oom to prevent the windows rattling. Old is OK but dated and tired is not.

Lovely older building renovated. Just know there is no elevator , so if you have heavy suitcases you are lugging them upstairs. But not really a big deal, as it's not like 10 flights. Close to places to eat clean and tidy , great little kitchen.

Wir waren 2 Nächte in der Unterkunft und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war geräumig, die Nähe zum Strand ist perfekt. In die Stadt sind es mit dem Auto 7 Minuten.

It was cosy and next to beach. Sadly not quite accommodating for a family of 4. Needs to be a bigger unit. Windows rattle like crazy in the wind even with supplies wood slices. Would stay again as a couple but not with our kids

Thanks for choosing to stay with us, Kylee. Fantastic you found your apartment to be cosy, however sad to hear you found the space not big enough for your needs. You might like to try our new place next door - esplanade.co.nz – which has bigger 2-bedroom apartments for your next family visit.With regards to the windows, the Majestic Mansions is over 100 years old and does have old windows. We have been experiencing unusually strong winds at present. Our wee wedges stop a lot of it. Perhaps there was not enough in your apartment so apologies about that.

I loved having separate lounge, kitchen etc. Had a friend around for a meal and my bedroom was not on show.

Lovely historic property, decor has been tastefully updated. Beautiful view of St Clair surf beach. Our apartment was spacious. Amenities were good. Great restaurants/ cafes next door.
