Jamaican Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at One Rhythm Villa. Ms Annette’s cooking and hospitality was amazing. The nearby local establishments were very accommodating and friendly. With being steps away from the beach, the location couldn’t be better for rest and relaxation.

Amazing vacation
First off ms Annette is wonderful she was alway on top of everything helping making arrangements for our travels or adventures. Plus wonderful meals. We had two weeks of total relaxation . The water or just laying around relaxing in the beautiful yard. . Whenever I call the host she always answers right away thanks for everything. Beautiful all the way around

Fantastic Jamaican Experience

Comfortable, Convenient and Caring
The location is convenient - close to the beach, airport, ben down market, fishing boats and a few establishments. The house is comfortable - cool, modern, spacious, quality, and outside spaces. The cook, Miss Annette, cared for us beyond our expectations - warm hospitality, flexibility, delicious Jamaican food, clean rooms, and she became our friend. The entire stay was a blessing!

One rhythm Villa
First time to Jamaica chose one rhythm villa. Was first picked up at the airport by our driving services which was greatly helpful. Kirk is an amazing dependable driver. Then arrived at the villa only to be welcomed by miss Annette, who had a meal already prepared for us. She is an amazing woman makes you feel welcomed safe, and is full of local experience and knowledge which helped us navigate our stay. miss Annette and Kirk took us to the grocery store. She helped us shop for the week after that we stayed at the villa because it’s that beautiful and the beach is amazing. We had one excursion but other than that we stayed right at the villa it’s everything it describes to be, and then some.! can’t speak highly enough on one rhythm missi Annette and Kirk, the driver. The locals are amazingly friendly! We fell in love with the dogs.lol will totally be returning

Paradise Destination
From the booking to the departure everything was fantastic. Karen was a pleasure to work with & even had a cake waiting for my birthday. Ms. Annette is heaven sent. She took very good care of us. Kirk was extremely helpful & came back for multiple trips to town for us. Maurice & his services were the best. All I wanted to do was relax & de”stress” & that’s exactly what One Rhythm allowed me to do. I will be coming back & highly recommend this villa.

Everything you need to relax
We spend a week at One Rhythm and it was exactly as described. The beach is just a short walk away and it not busy (mostly just other vacationers staying at nearby rentals). This was our first time staying somewhere with a housekeeper/cook and it was wonderful not to have to worry about making dinner or cleaning up after meals. Miss Annette took care of us well. She is wonderful, but I will say it took a few days for her to fully warm up to us (or the other way around). Kurt was great as our driver to/from the airport and grocery store. We only ended up doing one day off of the property (to Ocho Rios) which Kurt drove us to and waited patiently for us during our lunch and river tubing.

An oasis of peace and beauty
One Rhythm is a beautiful little villa in a very small and lovely neighborhood. The yard is magical with so many gorgeous tropical plants that thrive in the warm and sunny conditions. The locals are very kind, friendly and respectful. The beach had small waves in November but people told me it was very calm at different times of year. Turquoise, warm water and the beach is often empty and you have it to yourself…a huge bonus. Local families go to the beach onSunday and we made friends with a few of the local people. Tony the Rasta man was our one stop shopping as well as being a friend. He is kind, genuine and extremely helpful whenever needed. He made a huge bonfire for us the last nite and we would help him out with food. I suggest the Martha Brae rafting trip..so much fun, and you could swim along side the raft in the clean waters. It was a fave and well worth the money. There is a neighborhood pack of dog gos which I would feed at the beach whenever I could. The two little girls were very sweet and I was sad to leave them. I wish I could have taken them home.. Captain Kirk was a great driver and very knowledgeable. And finally Ms Annette.aka Annie and Christine. She is a gem and her home cooked meals were out of this world, and made with love.So much better than restaurants.Our motto for Annie was she is an odd combination of “really sweet” and don’t mess with me”. A strong woman. Ask her to make you meat pies. Finally so much positive energy surrounded us.

a fabulous gem!
My husband and I stayed at One Rhythm for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct and it was just what we needed. We were looking for a quiet place to work but also to unwind and celebrate our anniversary, well away from tourists and crowds. We enjoyed watching the sunrises, swimming in the ocean, and playing in the rain. Ms Annette was so welcoming from day one and took excellent care of us. Her cooking is fantastic but what was really special to us was her kindness, warmth and sense of humour. Karen was so easy to work with and answered every question about the booking and what to expect, including arranging our transport with Kirk to/from the airport. Some top tips: No need to bring loads of clothing - Ms Annette will wash anything you need and everything is very casual. Do bring: deet-based bug spray, suntan lotion, shampoo / conditioner, and plenty of US cash. While the grocery store in Duncan may take a credit card, most other things you will pay for during your stay only take cash (JMD or USD). I would recommend having Kirk pick you up at the airport and ask him to stop at an ATM early in the drive if you don't have sufficient US cash already as there are no ATMs dispensing US cash near Duncan Bay. I would also recommend stopping at a grocery store on the way (Kirk will offer) to get all the basics you will need for the first 1-2 days. Thereafter you can ask Ms Annette to go shopping with you which is a treat in itself! Oh, and if you like seafood, Ms Annette will find you the best!

Beach Front Property
This listing was everything it said it was and much more. Host was very accommodating and extremely responsive. Ms. Annette who cooked our meals everyday was a treat to converse with and her cooking was great as well. This place was like being on your own private beach, no crowds and no haggling with local sellers. Our two children 9 and 13 were not bored for a second in the 7 days we were there. We will definitely be going back.

Healing in the Caribbean Sea
I came across this vrbo while googling in grief, I wanted to get away so badly when my pup passed away from kidney disease from Lyme, it was a hard time and i lost my rental home a month later in a fire. I thankfully dove in and booked this and took the risk, as i do not travel abroad often. From the woman who helped us at the airport, Charrett to the Driver Kirk and Ms. Annette the house manager, everyone was a gift on the trip. My boyfriend and i were safe, bellies always full, and the area and peace of the private beach was all the healing i needed. The love and care of the residents and generous hearts of the community around this villa, is what living a good life is all about! Thank you so much for this stay and the healing vibes we swam around in all week!

Best Vacation Ever!
One snowy lazy February morning I idly Googled "secluded, beachfront, island," and up popped One Rhythm Villa! I wasn't planning a vacation and certainly not one to this extent, however, within 3 days, I was looking forward to my spur of the moment vacay at ORV! Everything and everyone are as stated in all the reviews. Kudos to Karen for arranging everything (what a godsend, talk about elimination of major stress) , Miss Annette is a real jewel in everything she does, Kirk and Kirk (his brother from another mother) were topnotch! Could go on and on, but everything from the beautiful Villa (indoors and out) to Miss Annette's fabulous Jamaican meals, to the local flair of the area and people (including those lovable beach pooches) is unforgettable! Paradise!
When I picture paradise, it looks like this place. Ocean views of the bright turquoise waters, sunny skies, lush island landscape, fresh and airy ocean air breezes, and most importantly, the comfort of genuine people in the nearby community. We figured we would do some exploring and excursions on the island but once we arrived we were so comfortable and relaxed just being in the area we were we didn’t even venture out. The home is warmed by Ms. Annette and get ever so scrumptious home cooked authentic local cuisine. And she is a tenured player of dominoes if you need any pointers. We learned to play form the locals over in the nearby fishing village. Tadler’s rooftop bar and Leroy’s are walking distance on the waterfront and the most accommodating and they genuinely enjoy good spirits to patronize their establishments. There are local artists and vendors there in the village that offer wood carvings, local fresh fish catch, food, fruits, novelty art pieces, and more. The beach is so cozy and convenient that you feel like it’s all your own. The Silver Light reggae band played on Saturday and it was the big event of the week and much enjoyed. Everyone we had met during our stay was all there. We have so many new friends after our time here. There is so much fresh air and sunshine that pours into the property and the art and landscape just envelopes your soul. I cannot say enough to express how much this trip truly changed us. We traveled there with friends and we left with more friends and more memories than we could’ve imagined. We are so grateful. We miss Ms Annette so much! We just wanted her to hang out with us instead of feeling like she had work to do. Some tips: stop at a grocery store on your way there to get some necessities but know that Ms Annette will be able to source and cook the best meals if you are willing to let her. Groceries and drinks can be delivered for a fee. Fish and fruits can be purchased in the village within walking distance. There are a lot of beach dogs but they are friendly. US currency is accepted almost everywhere. The home has most everything you need, including body soap, towels, kitchen essentials, Bluetooth speaker, chairs, etc. but if there is anything you need Ms Annette will make it happen. There is not shampoo and conditioner provided so you will need to bring yours. Kirk, the transportation guide, is prompt and helpful, safe and reliable. Everyone communicates and operates efficiently. The Best ever!

Absolutely, totally wonderful
One Rhythm is our kind of place. Away from crowds, close to activities, great bakery, wonderful locals, caring hosts. As previously expressed by the multitude, Miss Annette is a lovely Jamaican treasure. Reminds me of the sister I always wanted. She prepared the absolute best fresh snapper, lobster curry and lobster bisque we've ever had. Because of Miss Annette's endless efforts, all of our time was spent relaxing. Host Karen made all the prep for our stay seamless and kept us smiling. Perhaps the most unsung hero of our Duncan adventure was Mr. Kirk. A wonderful man, father, and driver extraordinaire, with plenty of suggestions and always on time. That is team One Rhythm. The home and its location was better than perfect. The artwork is joyful and includes a plethora of thoughtful quips to make one's life more pleasant. Our weather was fantastic. We highly recommend One Rhythm and its neighborhood.

Our group received the best treatment right from connecting with Karen on prearrangements and excellent pointers for traveling and entertainment. From the airport with smiling Kirk driving us safely on the left side of the road. Pointing out interesting landmarks. Meeting Miss Annette, the heart of the villa with open doors and open arms. She keeps ahead of everyone’s needs, whether dinner requests or guiding someone home from Leroy’s. All our wishes and dreams for a fantastic vacation came true. We are making plans for a return trip. One Rhythm Oasis
Our time spent at Duncan's Bay was the highlight of our trip! The location is quiet with beautiful flora and fauna, friendly locals and the most amazing beach we have visited in the West Indies. We loved the clean and comfortable decor of One Rhythm along with the many sitting area's outside. Kirk, the driver, delivered us there safely after bringing us to the Blue Hole and out to lunch in Ocho Rios. He made sightseeing effortless. It was our first experience staying at a cottage with a chef/housekeeper. We did not understand that Ms Annette would be cooking each meal. At first we were worried about the lack of privacy. But after the first day we got over ourselves and embraced the care-taking that was provided. Ms Annette made us incredible meals and was a great source of neighborhood information. We opted to make our own lunches during the day so that we had the freedom to do so when we pleased. Each meal Ms Annette made offered authentic Jamaican cooking with local fruits and fish. We couldn't wait to see what she had up her sleeve each day. As a Mom this was a gift. Definitely visit Leroy's and Toddler's the local bars. We followed the music and the path along the beach to find the friendliest people in a foreign land that we have ever met. We look forward to staying at One Rhythm, seeing Ms Annette and Duncan's Bay again!!

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at One Rhythm Villa. Ms. Annette took great care of our family. We rented a car for the week and explored Ochi, MoBay, and Falmouth and had a great time doing the river and waterfalls. Duncan’s Bay beach was beautiful, never crowded and the little beach bar (Leroy’s) was a great place to chill. We wish we could stay forever. This place is a little piece of paradise.

Great Couples Getaway
Ms Annette looks after you. The beach is mostly yours. Enjoyed going to the fishing guys to see what they brougth in that morning and purchase dinner. Renewed wedding vowls on the beach. Had massage. Ms Anette knows everyone and can arrange anythink. Kirk the taxi guy was puntional and friendly also

Wonderful Villa Stay
The villa is wonderful with a central living/kitchen area and two air conditioned bedrooms. The beach is a one minute walk away and was virtually deserted all week; thus we had our own private beach. The local neighbors and dogs are all friendly. The villa has an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from your feet and ample beach chairs and two floats for the ocean. Miss Annette is a real treasure, making us some wonderful Jamaican delicacies and making sure we had everything we needed. She made us, multiple kinds of chicken, pork, lobster and fish and every meal was fantastic! We used both Kirk and Trev when we needed a driver and they both did a good job. Make sure to bring lots of cash (USD are fine) as it's needed to buy groceries and pay the driver. All in all, this place is a fantastic value and we loved our stay here!

A little slice of paradise!
My husband and I brought our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend (for her and my birthday and a late anniversary for the husband and I). Kirk picked us up at the airport. Kirk is a great driver. When we arrived at the villa, Ms. Annette was waiting for us. While we went to the beach she prepared a wonderful feast of traditional Jamaican fare for us. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was magical and none of us wanted to leave. From Ms. Annette's cooking and pampering to the private beach to the outings with Kirk. We cannot say enough wonderful things about One Rhythm. We had a small incident with lunch on Ms. Annette's day off (Thursday), but Ms. Annette made sure that we were well taken care of, even on her day off. We cannot wait to return!

Great and Much Needed Family Time
I'd like to start off by saying Ms. Annette is a gem! My children and I feel in love with her nurture and care immediately. Our plans to venture and site see changed a bit upon arrival to see how close we were to the beach and great food (Ms. Anne's cooking)...we spent our entire time either at One Love or the beach. There are little surprises all around. Our next trip we may venture out a bit for excursions but this trip was a prefect time for relaxation and connection with my 2 sons (11 & 15) and daughter (8). Tropical Paradise

AMAZING....beyond words
Without a doubt this was the most laid-back, relaxing vacation we have ever taken. I wish I had known about this many years ago & that I was younger so I could go more often. Location is perfect, free of tourists, traffic, & noise; friendly neighbors. Maybe 20 yards to the beach, but beach is a bit rocky. BR's are air conditioned; main area open to sun & breezes. Only excursion was Martha Brae rafting, which was fun. Ms. Annette is magical & made every Jamaican meal I had ever heard about; all were AWESOME, tho am not fond of Ackee & Saltfish. Some advice before going: a) bring lots of cash ($500) as credit cards aren't that useful & you need the cash for Kirk (the driver), fresh seafood/fruits/vegetables/groceries that Ms Annette buys, Martha Brae rafting, Covid Tests for USA return flight, & tips for Ms. Annette & Sandra (2 days/week); b) buy lots of breakfast food & snacks when stopping on the way to the villa from the airport; c) liquor is strangely kinda expensive, even rum; d) buy BIG jugs of water (tho I had no trouble drinking tap water); e) bring a thermal cup as ice melts in no time & is made in trays. IT IS A TRIP OF LIFETIME.....don't wait till you're older to take it.

First Villa Experience
Where to begin? The process from the beginning was great. Karen answered my questions all the time. No matter the time I sent them. I am big on communication and she really was wonderful with that. She explained everything we wanted to know, fixed any minor issues I had. Kirk the driver was great , he drove very safely which I loved. Thank Kirk. What can we say about Ms Annette. She shopped for us and surprised us with things we forgot to ask for. We got spoiled with all the nostalgic home cook meals Ms. Annette gave us. Thank you so much. Hope we weren't too much trouble. I highly recommend this beautiful villa. We loved all the art pieces, and the little uplifting messages everywhere. It was secure, the beach was heaven, like it was all yours. You didn't have to wear a mask all the time .I will recommend it anyone and stay again. Thank you all so much . Much Blessings

I returned to all my friends in the community with WELCOMED LOVE that embraced me. I had a wonderful time at the villa and reconnecting with friends from over 30yrs. I am blessed and thankful for this wonderful stay at the One Rythem Villa Duncans BAY.

Jamaican paradise at One Rhythm
What a fabulous visit to Jamaica, thanks to Karen and her villa, One Rhythm! All of our questions were answered quickly! The hero of our stay was Ms. Annette. She was committed to making our stay fabulous, and went an extra mile (or 2!) to ensure our safety, comfort, and eating pleasure. One morning, she literally ran to the beach to get the first pick of seafood from the fishermen’s catch. That night we ate grilled lobster that was as fresh and delicious as it gets. If you’ve never stayed somewhere with a “caretaker” - that’s what she was, she took such great care of us - here’s some advice: Communicate about how much privacy you want vs. the services (cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc) that you want. Ms. Annette wants to make your stay fabulous…but she’s not a mind reader. (It could be the only talent she is lacking.) If a fabulous visit for you is tons of privacy, she needs to know that from the first day. We also need to give Sandra a shout-out. Ms. Annette took a day off to celebrate her birthday, and Ms. Sandra was also wonderful. We left One Rhythm well-fed and very relaxed. Goal achieved, thank you!!

Week in Paradise
Property was steps away from the ocean. Miss Annette, the chef/housekeeper was amazing. Her meals and hospitality were out of this world. She made sure that whatever you needed was provided. She is a gem. We felt more like family than guest. Karen responded to our questions very promptly. Overall a great experience would definitely recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Holiday's in Jamaica
My husband, myself, and our 2 adult sons stayed at One Rhythm for 10 days over the holidays. Karen answered every message promptly and informatively prior to and after we booked. Karen assisted me in filling out the travel documents for Jamaica and made sure everything was in place for a smooth travel into Jamaica. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Kirk the driver who was fun, on time, and helpful all throughout our trip. Our travel day was long, so we were very grateful, upon our arrival to the villa to have one of many fantastic meals prepared by Miss. Annette. So, while we are on the topic of Miss Annette, can I try and explain how fabulous this lady is?!?! She cooks, organizes your trips, shares all about the area and introduces you to the locals, cooks, cleans, does your laundry, gardens, I mean, you want it she does it type of lady. AAAAMAAAZZZING!!!!! We each enjoyed our conversations with her, and will cherish those special memories. Miss Annette, I will make sure Brandon brings the twins to see you again someday!!! haha The villa itself is clean, has comfortable beds, and is perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay. Now lets talk about the beach, WOW! The water is gorgeous, the sandy beach is amazing to walk, and the snorkeling was fun. One of the great parts of staying at One Rhythm is meeting the locals and talking with them. This was a great experience for us, but especially our boys. It is enlightening to learn other cultures and they were all polite, courteous, and fun. We never felt in danger or uncomfortable. If you get an opportunity to visit Jamaica, we highly recommend staying at One Rhythm. Thank you Karen, Kirk and Miss Annette, you made everything just right for us and for that we are very grateful.

PERFECT
My husband and I recently spent a week at One Rhythm and while the weather did not work in our favor, it was still wonderful. The villa is just as pictured and we were able to enjoy the open air experience. The yard is beautifully landscaped. Take the time to study the incredible carved tree, which was mostly done by a local man named Walton. The hammock and swings were fun to hang out in while listening to tree frogs. Karen was very communitive and ensured that we had all of the necessary paperwork prior to flying. We were greeted at the airport by a smiling Kirk who pointed out some historical sites on our way to the villa. We did stop to pick some groceries for breakfast. Upon arriving at One Rhythm we were greeted by the one and only Miss Annette who I immediately embraced because I felt like I already knew her (due to the reviews). She had a nice meal waiting for us, which we were extremely grateful for. She took us on a short walk along the beach and introduced us to the locals. Back to that shortly. There are not enough words to describe Miss Annette. She encompasses everything Jamaican. Her hospitality, smile, and laugh are so genuine. As all of the reviews have stated her cooking is first rate. She created dishes that we have never experienced and we loved them all. The grilled lobster (a day with no rain) was the best I ever had. Weather permitting, I could have had that daily. Thank you Miss Annette:) Back to the locals. Like I said, the weather did not want to participate. So, needless to say, we spent a lot of time hanging out. By the time we left we became quite a fixture at Leroy's and welcomed other visitors LOL. The Duncan's Bay community is extremely friendly and very safe. Lord knows if you have any questions regarding the area Miss Annette will know the answer. A special thank you to Pablo who drove us to to the other side of the island (when Kirk was not available) to enjoy a day at Floyds Pelican Bar. Thank Gosh the rain came just as we got back into the car to drive back to Duncan's Bay. If you are looking for a low key and unwind kind of vacation this is it. You will not be disappointed!!!

Jamaican Paradise!
After visiting Jamaica a few times, my husband & I decided that our next trip to Jamaica with our son, would be to a private villa so we could enjoy the culture, the people & the country outside of a large, busy resort. Everything we had looked for in a relaxed Jamaican trip, we found here at One Rhythm. The villa is very cozy & sits on a beautiful property just steps from the beach. The ability to open all windows & doors to feel the sea breeze was pure joy for me every day! The villa is in a little neighborhood with other vacationers & locals. The local bar, Leroy's, was a fun spot to hang at night & luckily my hubby brought his guitar so he could jam with the locals & other vacationers. We took some trips (Blue Hole, Martha Brae River and Luminous Lagoon) thanks to the driver, Kirk. He is super friendly with a great laugh! He is super punctual & not only did he get us to where we needed to be, but he also took the time to help us find a US Dollar ATM when we ran low on cash. Now here is the best part of this villa....Miss Annette. She is spectacular! Imagine a hotel manager that is also a chef, an event coordinator, property manager, housekeeper & then some, all wrapped up into one amazing human with a genuine heart & warm smile! She whipped up some amazing dishes, made sure my family had everything we needed & was just such a pleasure to be around! I found myself saying, "Thank you, Miss Annette" often! She is truly a gem & we miss her already! If you are looking for a Jamaican vacation where you can relax & enjoy the people, music, food, beach & country, this is the best place to go. I look forward to getting back there again! Thank you, Karen, Kirk and of course "Thank you, Miss Annette!" :)

Authentic Experiencce
We did not want to stay at a crowded resort and were seeking an authentic Jamaican experience. This beautiful home (Villa) is steps from the ocean in a neighborhood of beach side bars, places to get Jamaican food, and shops. We were able to interact with locals on a daily basis and enjoy the culture. Miss Annette is the house helper and chef. She is amazing! She is friendly, accommodating, and has a great sense of humor. My husband loves seafood, I do not, and I have gluten intolerance and he does not. Miss Annette was able to cook each meal (breakfast, lunch, and supper daily) to meet both of our needs! She did all of our grocery shopping and grabbed anything we needed while there. She was down at the water early every morning to purchase crab, lobster, and fish directly from the fishermen. Kirk, the driver, is at the ready for any sight-seeing trips. Everybody we encountered in the neighborhood on our 10-day stay was friendly and quite pleasant! Thank you, Karen, for sharing your beautiful beach house, allowing us to have this unique experience!

Ms. Annette is EVERYTHING. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left I felt like we were at our own vacation paradise. Having never been to Jamaica before, this is the only place I’ll ever go when I’m back. Ms. Annette - family, Food - fabulous, Location - Perfect, Beach - Private, Villa - immaculate, Vibe - amazing. The locals are so friendly and welcoming. Next time we’ll stay longer and if it wasn’t so booked all the time we’d be going back in November for my husbands birthday, but we’ll have to wait for an opening and celebrate then. Ms. Annette embodies everything about Jamaica! One Rhythm is exactly as advertised and then some. Much respect and one love 🇯🇲

Amazing Vacation
WOW! Where to even begin.... This is our 3rd time in Jamaica and each time we have stayed somewhere different and loved them all but this vacation was by far THE BEST! I will start with the house itself. It is a cute house with everything you need. It is in a great location by a beautiful secluded beach. We spent hours each day swimming and snorkeling at the nearby reef. Karen, the owner was very responsive and answered any questions we had. The house and location itself was enough to have us book another trip but it gets even better! Now for the best part of our trip..... Ms. Annette!!!! Ms. Annette is the sweetest person ever! She made sure we were well taken care of throughout our entire stay. She absolutely spoiled us with her AMAZING meals. We love authentic Jamaican meals and hers was by far the best! Not only were her meals amazing she made sure we had everything we needed or requested. She really takes pride in making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We felt like we were family! Our 2 yr old loved running to the kitchen in the mornings to greet her. The whole stay was just so relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for! My husband and I traveled with our 2 teenage kids and our 2 yr old and we were all so sad to be leaving. We will sure miss this house and Ms. Annette but we will definitely be back!!! Thank you for the best vacation ever!!!

Amazing
One Rhythm Village is just that…the team is on one rhythm and ensures a perfect stay! We were welcomed by Kirk and Ms. Annette. The home cooked meals were delicious and just what my husband and I needed. We were even able to get COVID tests right on the property, so that we could return back home to the states. Thank you for an amazing time, the place is beautiful, and because everything was taken care of for us, we truly relaxed while on vacation.

Nice & Relaxing
First and foremost, this is not a resort vacation. Anyone looking for a "resort experience" would be disappointed. Loved Miss. Annette and as the week went on I think everyone connected with her more. At little awkward at first b/c while the communication with Karen was great, I should have been more direct in asking questions with regard to food. Karen mentioned we should stop on the way from the airport when picked up, but we ended up making two trips that day b/c we didn't buy any food. I (my fault) assumed we'd just "get by" the first night / morning, and then go on a larger shopping trip. My bad... So, two driver's fares later and we were stocked up. The village itself was nice. I was unhappy with the amount of trash littered across the top of the dunes and around the entrance to the beach area. In fact, my wife and I went out with a garbage bag one day to pick up the trash left behind by some folks. No biggie - again - not a resort. The house itself was great. Each BR has it's own AC unit, so that was nice. Make sure you turn the AC unit off during the day. Also, just a tip - close your doors to help keep unwanted insects out of the bedrooms. The villa is open air, which is great - but bugs live in the open air. I liked having a driver, it was nice. I felt as though a couple times maybe the pricing for trips here or there was a bit high, and the pricing didn't make sense. One time $80, the next time $60, etc. But, we always tipped, and felt like we were good, happy travelers. The exit covid testing was interesting. Cool doc, the clinic was in a strip mall, and lots of locals were there for different ailments clearly as one gentleman was sitting with blood dripping on the floor. The told him to leave, and presumably he went to another place. The Martha Brae river was neat. Kinda a money grab at the end with several folks trying to sell stuff - but fun nonetheless. The beach was amazing and by far the best part. Relaxing, no one around (except for an occasional villager who wanted to sell you something, but always simply left you alone if you were polite and said "no thank you"). Annette's banana fritters were amazing. All and all a nice relaxing stay and will def consider coming back as I feel like I know more of what to do, and what not to do - and I now have a greater expectation of what it means to have someone cooking and cleaning for you all week!

Steve thank you for your review and for being with us at One Rhythm Villa. The beach is gorgeous and well maintained by the Duncan’s Bay Association. I am aware that there was a wedding that took place on the beach during your stay. It did take an additional day for maintenance to clear away the trash. I apologize for any inconvenience to you. Jamaica offers such lushness and natural beauty and I am pleased for anyone having the chance to experience this tropical island.
