Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 4 steps in the garden and direct access to the sea.. Wavecrest has been upgraded in 2019 and is a comfortable detached bungalow with the most stunning views over the Solway Firth. Open the door into the newly fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar opening onto the cosy living room and dining area, where you can sit and enjoy breakfast with those most magical views, the perfect start to your day. From the living room there is a conservatory where you can relax and enjoy the garden and the sound of the sea.

    The coastal village of Southerness has undoubtedly some of the most outstanding views of the Solway Firth to the English Lake District. Explore the beach and the striking white landmark of the Lighthouse, built in 1749, or challenge yourself on the championship golf course.

    From Wavecrest you have an ideal base in which to explore beautiful Dumfries and Galloway from its beaches, right on your doorstep, to coves, cliff top walks and forest trails. With countless historic sites throughout the region and many fun filled activities, there is something to suit all ages, while enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way.

    Return after a day’s sightseeing to the peace and tranquillity of Wavecrest. Beach 20 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Lovely cosy cottage with stunning views. Well equipped kitchen. Oven a bit difficult to understand even with instructions. Fridge a bit smelly.Very little nearby apart from hotel open for lunch and dinners.Dalbeattie worth a visit as nearest place for shopping apart from Dumfries.
