Right in the center. Steps away from pile. The apt brand new. And really on everything walkable. If you carry big luggage just remember Dubrovnik had lots of stairs and the apt is in 2nd floor. Old building, no elevator to keep the place as it should be. But Paula, arrange with our transfer to help me out by me and my kids although we travel light just 1 carry on each. The apartment so worth it!! GREAT location and new.

Demasiado calor

El apartamento en si está bien ubicado y es correcto. El problema vino principalmente con el aire acondicionado, que no enfriaba nada. Además el compresor estaba detras de una pared de pladur, que al encender el aire se calentaba y radiaba muchisimo calor. Pasamos mucho calor. La cocina es mas bien anecdotica, el microondas es para gente muy alta y los utensilios escasos.

It's understandable that the location is difficult to find, but the check-in process was extremely difficult! Even though I booked through Expedia, they said they wouldn't give me the key number unless I used "What's Up." Even when it was time to check in, I sent multiple contact messages from Expedia, but they never replied. In the end, I had a hard time checking in, which was very frustrating.

Fantastic stay in Dubrovnik Old Town

Our stay In Dubrovnik Old town was fantastic. The location of the apartment was ideal, outside Dubrovnik old town the other apartments/hotels/villas can be up a climb as the landscape is quite mountainous. Whereas, after exploring, there is only one set of stairs to climb from the Main Street to get the apartment. Getting up from street level, to the apartment is about 30 steps that are quite steep but this never bothered us, but could be something to bear in mind. The host made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us almost daily. The Apartment is above a busy street with some very nice restaurants on it, so if you come back early to get your head down you could hear it as background noise but it didn’t personally bother us. The check in time on Hotels.com states it’s 15:00 but it’s actually 16:00. Saying that the host messaged me and say we could check in at 15:00 as the room was ready. I would also contact the host first to get the check in details so the process is stress free and you know what you need to do. You receive email with a WhatsApp number on so you can start the communication there. All in all. loved the Apartment everything we needed for a base for 6 days in Dubrovnik 👌

Brilliant location, apartment was modern and clean, though with limited amenities. Access up some windy/rocky communal stairs so not suitable for anyone with limited mobility! But, this is normal for the old town and it’s an incredible location right in the middle of everything.

Let down by poor communication

Check in process was shambolic. If you book this place, make sure you get the entry code before you travel. The apartment is one of two accessed through a door 40 internal stairs up and the handrails are wobbly. The host’s phone number is on the door, but that’s only of use if you actually know which apartment you’re going to as there are several in the building. Check in time is 16:00, not 15:00 as stated by Hotels.com. The airport shuttle drop off at Ploče Gate which is not too far to get to the apartment. The location of the property is ideal, right in the middle of the old town. If you walk to either end of the street there are fewer steps to get to the Stradun. Loads of restaurants on the doorstep. Convenient to walk to the cable car, or get onto the walls. It’s close to the harbour. The apartment was clean and the bed comfy. Only 2 pillows though. The shower was good. There wasn’t much noise, despite it being on a lively street. The aircon worked and the apartment was as pictured. The microwave isn’t going to be used by anyone under 6ft tall though.

The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. However access to the property is unsafe and the description of the accommodation does not match the reality. The hand rails on one side were unstable and on the other not fully attached to the wall. The stairs need repair, repair to these types os stone stairs is possible you see it all over. The host didn't see an issue there saying that's the way Dubrovnik is, apartments in Split we have used have much better access and maintenanceis tip top, that being an older city not sure its age that is the problem. Do not access the property as the host says through Buza gate go to Pile Gate it reduces steps to the apartments significantly to just 5 steps. We were not given this advice despite stating mobility challenges. Hotels.com have been advised the access is poor along with the description. The maintenance is an issue just be really careful.

Such a lovely apartment in the perfect location for exploring Dubrovnik! The room was spacious and clean and our host was so kind, checking in with us daily during our stay. The only downside is the surrounding area can be noisy when trying to sleep but this didn’t bother us too much!

good bits and bad bits

pros: location brilliant, lovely apartment, bathroom hot water etc perfect. cons: entrance stairs need painting and some of banisters loose. biggest issue was safe not working (and seemed been problem for a while). felt uncomfortable not being able to lock away passports etc and front door to apartments always open and you dont get a key for that

Don't stay here!

Shocking level of communication in advance, despite two unanswered requests for clarity sent in good time, leaving me standing on my own in a dark street late in the evening, in the rain. Very stressful. I then had to make international calls to chase down how to get into the apartment, instead of them trying to contact me to help me. I was even 'told' to download an app in order to communicate! (The local manager was eventually persuaded otherwise.) I was especially really unhappy to find myself with no TV service for the entire duration of my stay...I was looking forward to that and, as a solo traveller in winter, it was important to me. Slow or no response to some messages about fixing it and a late attempt by the local manager to fix it failed. No compensation offered by the owner. Other things: no sign at the door to know you are in the right place, broken handrail on the way up to the apartment, have to stand on chairs to access pots and pans etc - very dangerous. Works on the path outside at the time of staying so if you want quiet during the day, now is not the time. Can't fault the comfort and general cleanliness...though it was all very 'Ikea'. Also, in decades of travelling, it's the first time I was ever expected to put on my own duvet cover, except when staying in a youth hostel! Overall, very disappointed to find a property managed like this on Hotels.com and I would not recommend it, or the managing company 'direct-booker', to anyone. Stay somewhere else.

Close to old town amenities. On the whole the apartment was very clean apart from some stains on the bed quilts. The description details are a bit misleading it does not mention all the steps you have to get to it inside the building and outside. And also the fact it is above a restaurant.

Centrally located without a strenuous walk through Dubrovnik in the heart of restaurant row. Paula was very thorough about advising location and access to the property. Only concern is that the safety handrail going up the stairs had fallen off the wall, and a very minor issue of a lack of body wash for the shower. Otherwise, clean and comfortable
