"We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! Our family of 5 adults had plenty of room to stretch out, wash clothes at mid-point of our 8 day tour of Ireland, make a home cooked barbecue meal one night, etc. Hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of hiking. Property was super modern and spotlessly clean. Killarney our favorite town on the trip, and easy drive to Dingle peninsula and other areas."

We stayed 5 days and walked Gap of Dunloe then boated across, Ring of Kerry with boat trip to Skelligs, day trip to Blarney castle and Cobh , Dingle and Slea Head and golfing at Beaufort golf course. Very well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with ensuites have showers with bath shower combo in main bath. Great for two couples or family. You do need a car. Host was great and offered suggestions that helped make our stay special."

"The house is in a quite location 15 min from Killarney, and it is perfect to enjoy Kerry County and Ring of Kerry. During the week we visited Dingle, Limerick, Kinsale and Cork so you can stay here as a site to enjoy this part of Ireland. You should keep in mind that you need a car to move around because the house is not in a town but in the country. The house is well equipped and clean.
