The Country Home is a very comfortable place with a stellar front porch. The layout efficiently utilizes the space especially considering there are three bedrooms each with a full bath. We were worried about 1000 sf but it is not an issue. Between the large dining table, the two couches, and several chairs, there is more than enough places to hang out inside. Outside seating is almost unlimited with the five rocking chairs on the front porch and all of the seating in the "barn". The home has a well equipped kitchen although we did not take advantage of anything except the Keuring and the refrigerator. There are four, individual, ductless heating/air conditioning units in the home each controlled independently. There is one for each bedroom and well as one in the living area. The home has DirectTV with a television in each bedroom, the front room, and one out in the "barn". The "barn' is just outside the kitchen door and it is a covered area that is closed in on two sides. It is outfitted with a large patio table and bench seating with cushions. Additionally there was a large selection of DVD's to choose from. It is a short drive into Dripping Springs and the turnoff from 290, when headed back from Dripping Springs at night, is well marked with a flashing sign and easy to find.
There are several other units on the property and they are in fairly close proximity to the Country Home. You can only see one of the units from the front porch. We were concerned about privacy but it was not an issue during our stay. You can hear the traffic on 290 from the front porch but not at all inside the home.
It is a very comfortable place to stay with a great location to check out Austin to the east and Johnson City to the northwest.
