We were in town to meet up with family. We have two small kiddos who don't do great in hotels. So we look for small places, just like this one, where they can run and be loud crazy kids.
The cabin we stayed in was small but we all fit nicely, 4 and 6 yr old slept on the pull out happily. The owners had everything you could think of ready. The little fridge had juice for our kids, the cutest little bananas (which my daughter hasn't stopped telling people about) apples, muffins, scones, yogurt....seriously it was perfect. The beds were comfy too.
The property was beautiful. The wildflowers were in bloom and the owners had even mowed a path around there acreage for the visitors to walk. The kids had a good time throwing rocks in the pond and we even spotted a snake!
The owners, Matt and Michelle were very kind. They were outside working in the yard when we arrived. They were eager and happy to answer questions about where to eat and chat about the area.
The cabins back up to the main house so there is a sense of "what's yours is mine" for a lack of better word. Which we enjoy.
If you are looking for a small, clean, beautiful hill country, family oriented little get away. This is for you. Also it isn't too far away from "town" which is a plus too.
Oh and one of the neighboring farms had wild turkeys in their front yard both mornings, we looked like real city folk calling to the turkeys (which did answer!!)
