We had our family reunion at this amazing property. Both houses are outfitted with everything you need. Our family loved the big open spaces in the house and we enjoyed movie time in the theater. The game room was also a popular gathering spot. The outdoor area is what separates this property from so many others. We played every game but spent most of our time on the pickleball court and playing miniature golf. The mini golf course is challenging and fun and exceeded our expectations! I also want to recognize, Izzy, the property manager. She communicated frequently prior to our trip and even called me the day before to run through all the details of the property. During our stay, she was available for a text or call and responsed immediately to any of our questions. Thank you Izzy! I highly recommend this property for any group who wants a peaceful getaway with lots of activities right on site.

Hidden Gem!

I have stayed at many places for work and for family events. This place was amazing. Better than the description online. The entire property is just beautiful and the views are amazing. But, the best part, is there is no wasted space! The rooms are the perfect size, the game room is huge, and the outdoor entertainment area is filled with every game. Izzy was amazing throughout the whole process and we had an amazing time. You cannot go wrong with this place, and it’s worth every penny!! we will definitely be booking again!

College Reunion

Perfect property for college reunion of 10-14. Only downside is remote location away from Austin. But, if you’re looking for the perfect house that offers everything (indoor/oudoor activities, grill, smoker, pool, hot tub, several tv screens, indoor theatre, indoor and outdoor space, big dining table, etc, this is it.

Wow What An Amazing Rental!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this house. We played endless games and had more than enough room for our stay. The house was fully stocked with everything that we could need to cook and clean. I would 100% rent this place again!

Group Trip

Fabulous location and amenities for a group trip. The kids spent 12 hours outside each day and still had games we never even touched! Beware there is not an ounce of shade, but this is a great place to make wonderful memories and the best stocked property we've been to.

Fun For All Ages!

We had our family reunion here and there’s so much to like about this property. When you enter between the gates there are cute alpacas in the fenced area. One black and white little baby alpaca which was adorable. The main house is very spacious with several gathering areas. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. Some of the things we especially liked about the house was the game room, the movie theater, and the ability in the dining area to seat most of our group to eat at the same time. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need to cook and eat comfortably. We used the grill for hots and hamburgers one night and made chili the next. The game room was fun because we could corral our six little kids in there while the adults played cards and watched the football game. We had a large HEB grocery order delivered to the house about an hour after we arrived which was so helpful. We were able to store food easily with the pantry and two refrigerators in the kitchen. Another perk that I don’t think they mention in the description is the heated pool. We were told it is heated all year round, and some of our family really enjoyed it, even though it was cold outside. We played pickle ball, made s’mores one evening over the pit outside and played some of the games outside on the one day that was not freezing. On Saturday morning we went to the Wild Exotic Zoo about thirty minutes west of the home. It was a wonderful experience for all. We rode the

Amazing property!!

Because F1 had all of the Austin hotels locked in a 5-night minimum stay for the week (@ $1,000 per night!!!), I needed a property big enough to accommodate my group of 10 guys……this place was in a word perfect! We were able to house everyone and have a very successful meeting. The sunsets and sunrises were so beautiful, and the llamas next door were an added bonus. Would definitely recommend for corporate retreats, family reunions, a girls’ weekend or wedding party! Fabulous property. Add it to your list!!!

Family of the Groom lodging 8-2024

Over the top accommodations that surpassed our expectations. Perfect for our group of 16 (room for more). 8/10 rooms with King size beds, which is rare. Loads of indoor space and the outdoor activities were so much fun. Between wedding festivities, we spent most of our time around the pool and hanging in the kitchen or game room. The property manager was communicative, and helpful providing referrals for local vendors. Awesome in every aspect and worth every cent.

Great family gathering spot

This is an amazing property and very well maintained and the pictures are very accurate. The movie theatre and game room were awesome and used constantly. The backyard is huge and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy all the options and activities. The entire property is well stocked, right down to having anything you need in the kitchen (and all was labeled too). If we had to find one thing we would add, and it was difficult to find one, I’d say an umbrella for shade at the pool would be a welcomed addition. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We rented the Hill Country retreat for a family gathering, and the property was perfect for a large group. Property was amazing and had plenty of activities for everyone to do. Pictures don’t do it justice - will definitely rent again in the future!

Family 2024

Our extended family of 20 vacations together every summer. Every year we travel to a new location….until this year. This is our second year to visit Hill Country Retreat. It’s hard to find any other home that fits everyone so comfortably. From early morning coffee to pickleball, putt putt, basketball, shopping and someone in the pool all day- it’s the ultimate family get together and bonding time. Andrea is always so responsive! Something for everyone!

I rented this for a reunion on Memorial Day weekend with my 3 siblings and elderly Mom plus our grown children with spouses/others. There was one child- total 18. We loved that the main house has 4 Kings with ensuite bathrooms. The fifth bedroom doesn’t have a bathroom but can easily be shared with the master. My siblings and Mom all stayed in the main house while all the cousins took the guest house. The sleeping accommodations are all very comfortable with ample room and high quality bedding and beds. The a/c works well throughout. The kitchen area was amazing. We spent a lot of time hanging in the kitchen/keeping room just off it and dining area every morning with our coffee. We loved the big table for dinners! The outdoor area is amazing. In the mornings we played games, swam throughout day. It got dark around 8:45 so we played games late in the day. At night the game room was a hit. The theater room is awesome. We took in a matinee as a family one afternoon in the heat of the day. There’s plenty of room in this house to have separate activities and conversations. There’s something for everyone. Little shade outside. Be prepared. The house manager communicates well and responds quickly. We had a few issues with guest house wi-fi but she troubleshooted to get it working. Being this remote you should expect occasional issues like that. We had no issues in main house connecting wifi and TV. Amazing weekend!
