Beautiful View & Home

We are a group of retired friends on a Wine Trip. There were 9 of us. The home was the perfect size. When we encountered some minor issues, they were addressed immediately. I highly recommend and look forward to returning again when the weather allows to be on the deck

Enjoyed our stay

This is house is nice on the main floor. The lower floor indeed had a musty smell. We were going to use both floors but did not end up using the lower floor. The musty smell was bothersome. We tried to open the windows but either they were labeled to not be opened up or they did not work. I think if your were able to open the windows that would help. The main floor was well stocked for cooking and the deck and inside seating was great. The beds were comfortable.

Wine Weekend

We hiked Watkins Glen. Walked thru the Windmill Farmers Market. Toured wineries and breweries along Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Coffee on the deck, dinners at the table and lots of laughs in the great room

Beautiful property on Seneca Lake

Great house right on the lake. The views of the lake from the veranda are unmatched. Quiet neighborhood. Close to fabulous hiking and some of the best vineyards in the Finger Lakes.

Beautiful home...but

The home was wonderful for my extended family to gather & enjoy our time together. Unfortunately, the downstairs is damp smelling. The folks were very responsive when contacted. They stated that the mini split downstairs acted like a dehumidifier when changed to that setting. That change helped some; however, there was still an issue. The main floor was spacious. The deck & dock were very nice. If the dampness was taken care of, I would stay here again.

Family Reunion

As three couples in their seventies, who have traveled extensively, we were very pleased to be able to find a home available with bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate us all. However, the pictures, online description and reviews were not accurate. The third bathroom was actually in the finished basement. Unfortunately, it was a musty, damp basement. (Not worth a 5***** review!). Also, there was no private, outdoor seating area off the basement. One couple used the basement bathroom, but no one would spend time in the damp basement. Please update your reviews and description to inform people what to expect. Also, as stated above, we have vacationed in many houses and this was not a 5***** clean house. We may have left it cleaner than when we arrived!

Great location!

We were so impressed with the rooms and property! Very well kept. Really nice interior. But we did not expect the beautiful view of the lake. An added bonus.. Thank you to the hosts for their kind response and willingness to accommodate whatever we need. We will definitely stay here again.

A week at the Lake!

My Extended Family and I spent a week at the lake and MoonDance was great place for our family time. It was clean and exactly what we expected. We enjoyed the house, lake and the decks! It was a great week.

Great house in great location

This home was everything we expected and more. It was very clean and was the perfect size for our group. We loved hanging out on the deck in the evenings with the fire pit. We needed more gas tanks for the grill and when I messaged the property manager she responded right away and had the tanks to us first thing the next day.

Perfection

We set out to have an fun and relaxing stay over the holiday weekend. Moondance was the perfect place for us. The accommodations inside the home were perfect, the view of the lake was unmatched and the location to various wineries, shops and attractions is great.

Great Get Away

Wonderful property, finely appointed, the perfect place for our relaxing long weekend away with friends and family. Tucked away on a quiet dead end road we could not have asked for anything more suited to our needs. Well appointed kitchen, beautiful deck and dock for relaxing evenings, close to some of our favorite wineries, wonderful comfortable beds - this property has been renovated into a gem for folks to experience. I hope all who come after enjoy and respect the property for what it offers.

Loved Moondance

Seven retired women, highschool friends, totally enjoyed our stay at Moondance. The house was impeccable, with comfortable furniture and beds. The well-equipped kitchen provided everything we needed and we were happy for the supplies provided by our host. The view of the lake was amazing and we made a point to watch the sunrises. The only issue we found was the toilet in the shared bathroom that rocked. I have been renting vacation homes for over 20 years and I will say this is in the top 3 I have rented. We all talked about returning to Moondance in the future. Thank you !

The accommodations met our expectations and the view was beautiful and so serene..

The view was beautiful and the home was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate three couples. We had space to congregate inside and out yet we had our privacy. The neighborhood was quiet. The only negative was that one couple stated a blanket could not be used because it was not clean. All three couples agreed that they would definitely return to Moondance on Lake Seneca.

Great House in Quiet, Lakefront Neighborhood

The Pros: House was large and spacious and very well laid out for our group of five older adult girlfriends. Driveway was great for one car. Keyless entry worked well, though buttons did stick a bit. Kitchen was a dream with everything we possibly needed. A/C was needed and worked great in late August. Beds were comfy and bedrooms were large. Lots of hangers, always a bonus. Washer and dryer were great, too. Fire pit and bbq had full propane tanks and extra, if needed. Two of three bathrooms had hair dryers, so bring one along. Ironing board and irons were provided. We lived on the large deck and loved it. Lots of outdoor seating. Two one-man kayaks (but only one paddle), one canoe, and a pedalboat were on-site, super fun and easy to launch right from our own backyard onto the warm, calm lake. New life vests and several nice beach chairs were provided for lounging on the private dock. Cons: We realize the house is on a lake, but the lower level inside was very musty and damp. If you have allergies or respiratory issues, be aware. A dehumidifier could help. Bring your own beach towels. None are provided. We thought we'd use the screened porch to avoid the bugs, but the lake view is impacted by the solid lower walls and we could not find any lamps or lights on the porch.
