"The hotel has only been open for 3 weeks, which is probably 6 weeks too soon!! The room was not finished - locks missing on bathroom door (just a hole waiting for the lock); no curtains or blind in the lounge area - the hot sun blazed in throughout the day and neighbouring rooms could see in, and finally, no air conditioning - the control panels are there, but not connected to anything. I REPEAT ... NO AIR CONDITIONING. The day was very sunny and very hot and the room could not be cooled down...

"Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered. The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. Having on-site parking was a real bonus, as was the nearby supermarket. We also appreciated the baby gate on the stairs, and our children loved sleeping in the bunk beds. However a few lights either didn't work or had no bulb in, the hall way light didn't work and when it was dark you couldn't see where you was going and the light outside the hot tub but this wasn't so bad as you had the fairy lights which gave a bit of light. "We had a really lovely time staying at Hudson 5. The property is beautifully decorated and feels very welcoming as soon as you arrive. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. The location was also a big plus, being so close to the centre and within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. It was the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall we had a great experience and would happily stay here again."

"A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again."

"Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly. Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub. Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region. The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us) Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs."
