"Alpine retreat is a treat! We had a wonderful stay at the Alpine Retreat. It was full of activities for our children to be entertained, even though the views were more than enough. We saw mule deer every morning and could hear elk in the distance. The setting is near impossible to beat with the views from the hot tub and deck. "Check in was easy. The room was clean. The bed was okay, sloped towards the middle. The shower is very powerful and hard to adjust so just be forewarned. The fireplace wasn't operational while we were there but I didn't bother to check with the host since we were there for just one night. Cute house, great location, quiet. "The location cannot be beat. This property sits right on the river, which is perfect for strolling the trails after work or doing whatever needs to be done during the day. The only concern for me was the level of humidity. There is no A/C and the fans are great, but the ope windows were not helping cool things off, since it was very humid for my entire stay. Other than that, it was perfecrt. "
