What an amazing experience!!! This villa was everything we hoped for. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The pool was perfectly situated, overlooking the jungle with beautiful ocean views. The amount of wild creatures seen right there at the villa was unreal - howler monkeys, toucans, insects of every kind and size. Kitchen was well stocked. Two sets of washers and dryers were handy for our large group. We slept 9 comfortably. The drive up from dominicalito definitely requires 4x4 and the location above Dominicaloto was very convenient yet still felt private. The villa feels very secure. The only things I could offer the host would be to maybe furnish the downstairs kitchen and maybe have a couch of some sort downstairs - but that is more of a preference than a complaint. We had such an amazing trip because of the experience with this villa. Our host was very helpful and check in and out were simple. We would rate this place 10/10 and highly recommend!!!

Outdoor pool lights did not work AGAIN! I asked during the year if they were good and they only lasted 2 days. Fan and some lights didn’t work. Door locks missing for basement suite. Front door slammed because seals were not fixed.

Amazing views, daily visits from howler monkeys and toucans, lovely an clean house, comfy furniture (especially if you enjoy outdoor living - we spent a lot of time on the veranda), attentive concierge, and so much to do within 5-30 minutes. If you’re not used to the roads in Costa Rica, take them seriously when they say you need a 4WD to get here.

A gem

My husband, 2 young adult children and I had a magical week at this gorgeous home perched high on a hill above Dominicalito and surrounded by jungle. If you birdwatch or appreciate nature, you will quickly realize this locale has much more to offer than the views and infinity pool. We brought our binoculars and put them to good use. Everyone took surfing lessons at Playa Hermosa beach just north of Uvita and we saw humpbacks on our whale watch tour. Deepest thanks to our hosts- we hope to return!

Gorgeous place - highly recommend!

We had a really lovely week here with our family (6 of us, all adults). If you have a large group or 2 families, this place would be perfect. We felt like we had as much privacy as we ever wanted and could easily come together when we wanted as well. The view from almost every spot at the house is unbeatable! We didn't use the pool much since it was chilly during our stay but it was sparkling clean and overlooked the ocean. The outdoor room was amazing, with super comfy couch seating and fans to keep any insects away. We spent every morning sitting there watching toucans and every evening there listening to music and watching the rain. It was so great to have a washer and dryer (and there are two sets!) plus two kitchens. The owner is replacing the oven and fridge, which were on the fritz while we were there, but we had no problems since we just used the downstairs kitchen. The bathrooms were luxurious with warm water and lots of space. A/C in every bedroom, even though we didn't need it for all, lots of us just liked the fan. If you have very small kids, it is good to know that the two downstairs bedrooms are basically a separate house, and the entrance is from the outside and down the stairs. Not a big deal for us but if we had little one's I would have them sleep in the upstairs rooms near us. Also, he's not kidding about the 4x4 requirement. The road up is pretty steep and got a bit muddy in the rain so I would not recommend coming with a low power car.

Enjoying nature, peace and the awesome views

Super (mountainside)location for taking in nature, the sky views and the ocean all at once. It's remote enough to afford privacy as well as well as provide great opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings and the area's wildlife. My family enjoyed horseback riding to the waterfalls as well as the many beaches and open markets for souvenirs. There were plenty of local restaurants serving fresh and delicious foods. A 4x4 vehicle is a definite must or be prepared to pay $$$ traveling (back and forth) from the villa to any other destination. Very comfortable accommodations(with evidence of wear and tear on furniture and appliances). Overall it was an awesome experience for our family and friends. Great memories were made here and we would do it again.

Tranquility high in the hills.

We entered through the front gate and were immediately blown away by the spectacular, beautiful view of the ocean and forest below. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was very refreshing and clean. Overall, this was an amazing experience in a beautifully breathtaking location.

Great view/ Great wildlife

Five of us stayed in this beautiful house in March 2024. The view is absolutely stunning with great sunsets over the water/ jungle. The pool was spacious and refreshing and we spent a lot of time in it. It is in direct sun most of the day so make sure to have a rash guard or shirt to protect from sunburn. The outside bathroom was a really nice feature. The common space is not air conditioned but the bed rooms stay nice and cool with the in room air conditioning. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes but has limited options for spices, only salt and pepper. The best part is the location. Besides the view, you feel very private surrounded by jungle. We had toucans twice daily, monkeys multiple times, hawks multiple days and a coati one evening. It was fantastic. Oscar was a fantastic concierge. He was easy to reach, quick to respond, knowledgeable and so friendly. I would definitely recommend this property and would gladly come back.

Incredible, but requires TLC

There were 9 of us ranging in age from 14 to 50 staying at this VRBO. Lots of research went into the perfect place, perfect location. Disappointments were: not all lighting worked, different colored light bulbs in fixtures, no ground fans for kitchen area as it gets very warm and heat stays in, coffee maker and microwave were warn out, ran out of propane, lights in pool did not work and hanging by wires inside the pool (this was extremely disappointing), no cleaning supplies (mop to wipe off wet areas around pool & kitchen). Location and view were incredible. If these issues get fixed we would be rate it 5 out of 5. Communication with Oscar, our concierge, were great. We would easily stay here again but a little upkeep is required.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is lovely with incredible views. There were a few glitches. The air conditioner in one of the upstairs bedroom was leaking down the wall so we couldn’t use it. The code for the downstairs rooms didn’t work. We finally found a key in the kitchen drawer that we had to use. We tried contacting Oscar’s property manager and she never answered our texts. The downstairs screen door needs repair. It has big holes in it. There was a giant spider on the wall downstairs when we arrived. We realize it’s the jungle but having secure screens would help. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated more communication after we arrived. Oscar was very helpful before our arrival. It’s a lovely home with an unbelievable view! Costa Rica is an amazing country and the people are wonderful. We will be back!

Spectacular View

One of the best views in the area I'm sure, and therefore, anywhere! Floating in the pool, looking at that view was heaven, as was relaxing on the lovely porch. It wasnt even hard to work in the kitchen, with that view to greet you, though on sunny days, it could get quite warm. The bedrooms were nice and cool. My son enjoyed having the seperate apartment area downstairs, to himself. Lots of room everywhere. We heard howler monkies multiple times a day and saw 2 tucans that visited for about 30 min. The road up was not hard after a couple trips. The waterfall on the way up was lovely as well, with a nice swimming area in front. You could get to Jolly Roger (good wings) and Scala (wonderful food and service) without having to go all the way back down to the highway. The location was convenient to all we wanted to do in the area. We enjoyed going to Adventura Wildlife park and hanging out at Fuego Brewery in Dominical. My daughter loved the horseback riding trip to the largest falls. Oscar was very prompt responding to all questions and comunications. We would gladly return.

Gorgeous property

This property is exactly as listed. The only thing is the pictures do not do it justice, as anything that is as beautiful as this. You have one of the best views you will ever get! The best part was when the monkeys came to visit. If your patient and are watching, they will come! Also, the waterfall with the rope swing on the street! If your afraid of bugs and reptiles, this isn’t the place for you. We saw new things each day. Kids had a blast! I loved going into the town of Dominical which is just a few miles down the hill. We did have one rainstorm which knocked out the power for about 20 hours. We had fun lighting candles and using flashlights. Bring some just in case this happens while you are here. It didn’t affect our trip, only thing I would say is never have too much food in the fridge to avoid it spoiling during a power outage. Oscar, the property manager was very helpful in giving us recommendations and booking tours. He communicates quickly and easily. Downside- safe battery was not working. This should definitely be fixed right away. Directions given- needs to say turn right at the toucan sign and is the last house on the street. There is only one other house on the street. The police had to escort my father to the property because he drove past the toucan for miles. They were very nice and helpful. Overall, one of the best trips I have had yet! Would definitely return.

Stay in paradise

This listing is a one of a kind place especially for the price. The pictures don’t even do the view justice. Oscar was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes to downtown Dominical and about 20 from Uvita. There is even a waterfall on the road that’s only a few minutes away called Poza Azul. Just a few things to note: - Only one of the upstairs rooms has a king the other has a queen - The downstairs kitchen is not stocked at all - The kid’s room just has a small mattress that goes on the floor not a futon - The house has screens all over most likely due to not having air conditioning previously so noise travels very easily between rooms. - The pool is super safe not sure how anyone could accidentally fall over the edge. However, it is pretty deep and overall definitely more suited for adults. - Some of the codes didn’t work (for the downstairs access and the safe) Overall, I would highly recommend this place, it was perfect for our group of family and friends.

Beautiful home with lots of room

The home was magnificent! There is so much room and the views are amazing! The pool is well tended and refreshing. You cannot beat the sunset view from this home. However, the evening sun heats up the kitchen and dining area so cooking in the evening is difficult. You might want plan to cook after the sun has set or enjoy your dinner out in Dominical. But we truly enjoyed this amazing home!

Perfekter Meeresblick

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Objekt und die Ruhe der Umgebung sehr genossen. Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in sehr schöner Lage mit toller Aussicht über den Pool auf den Pazifik. Lediglich die Beschreibung der Anfahrt zum Ferienhaus könnte detaillierter sein. Mangels genauer Adresse der Unterkunft war die Navigation dorthin ziemlich eingeschränkt, insbesondere nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit.

Beautiful Design - Beautiful Place!

What a beautifully designed house with a perfect view! The directions to get to the house were very easy to follow. The road to the house was well maintained, but stick with a 4x4. The home was spotless! The bed was very comfortable. AC in the bedrooms worked well. Everything in the home worked. Beautiful tile work. Did I mention an awesome design? The pool is not dangerous. Improper use of the pool could be. The pool issue someone wrote about was certainly not valid. We loved the steps going into the pool, which has as good of a view as you will find anywhere in Costa Rica, and found the pool awesome! If you sit on the outside edge of any infinity pool anywhere, you are taking a risk. If you allow your child to do so, you should be turned into Child Protection Services. The pool is not dangerous. However, Stupidity is dangerous. The kitchen has anything you need and then some. There are actually two kitchens, since the lower half of the house has one as well. I wish I could have watched this home being built. The attention to detail and design are superb. I found myself admiring the place everywhere I turned! We loved the place and will certainly return.

Break in

This house has a beautiful view. We would have been very happy with this stay if it had not been that we were burgeralized while there. The back porch only has screened walls. Someone cut the screen and came into the house. They went through every drawer in every room and stole four computers from us. That was a terrible experience.

Site exceptionnel bien situé pour visiter la région

Belle villa avec vue spectaculaire sur la mer et la jungle. Couché de soleil au son des singes hurleurs. Pura vida 😜

Fun getaway

Travel to hang out with friends and new children. House was amazing easy to get to restaurants, beach, waterfalls and other activities. Views from all patios were gorgeous.
