Jungle paradise

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal. The home was well-maintained by Licho and family. It was a well stocked safe environment that felt like our own private resort. We hope to be back in the future.

Oasis in the jungle

Absolutely amazing place. Spacious, beautiful and Licho and Darling are highly attentive. Probably the best vacation house I’ve stayed in.

Slice of Paradise

Our family of 5 spent an amazing week at this luxury escape. Licho was extremely helpful and responsive, and Darling cooked us some of our favorite meals on the trip! Can’t beat seeing monkeys, a sloth and an array of tropical birds right from your own pool!

Perfection!

If you are at all on the fence about this property, DO IT. Its beautiful and everyone is so accommdating. Our family would definitely return. Licho is wonderful too.

After wedding getaway

We stayed here after a week of events for our wedding with a few friends and it was EXACTLY what we needed to de-stress! The house is amazing! I’ve never felt so relaxed! The house is beautifully nestled on a mountain in the rainforest overlooking the ocean. Monkeys visited us every morning, as well as other local wildlife.Licho was the perfect host and was available if we needed anything. Will definitely be returning very soon!

Licho was great, he is next door in case you need anything. The home is beautiful and the pool…wow! There are several places to relax and view the ocean and sunset! 😍.

A very great Villa.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was fine. The pool extraordinary and the housekeeper Licho always kind and helpful, if needed. We can absolutely recommend this villa. We would come again. Thank you very much.

Great time with my family

What a wonderful time my husband and I and our 4 kids had staying here. It's an amazing place to stay. We spent most of our time outside by the beautiful pool. There are a lot of different areas to enjoy outside and breathtaking view. We enjoyed multiple meals that we had Darling cook for us and Licho was so nice to work with. It truly was the Best Vacation for the entire family.

Unforgettable experience in paradise

We loved our stay in Uvita. There was so much room for 3 couples to enjoy. Photos do not even capture the beauty of the place. Our 4WD handles the steep driveway well. Licho the property manager was super helpful and friendly. It rained most of our trip and the covered areas outside were wonderful for dinners protected from the elements. I will definitely be back.

Amazing Property

This was a family trip with our 6 adult children and our 2.5 year old granddaughter. Each couple had their own suite with a bathroom. There are many areas in the house to relax and enjoy private space. We loved seeing monkeys, agouti, toucan right outside our home. The caretakers were top notch.

Beautiful property! Our second time there.

The house was great. This was our second stay at La Libelula. We took our kids in 2014 and it has been our favorite vacation since so we had to go back and do it all again with them as adults. So fun! Lucho and Darling cooked for us one night and it was amazing. Probably our best meal during our stay. Views are wonderful and close to the middle of town for restaurants, groceries, beaches and activities.

Amazing Home and Hospitality

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is simply fabulous! The many outdoor spaces were the highlight of our trip! We loved spending our afternoons hanging out in the pool and enjoying the sounds of the rainforest! Licho and Darling were so sweet and handled all of our requests within minutes! This home is the definition of Puravida! We are already making plans to return!

A little slice of heaven

The home is beautiful and the view is amazing. There are several outdoor dining and "hang out" areas that just add to the experience. The pool was perfect - our family was in it all the time. It is a short drive to Uvita (5 minutes). But the best part is Nicholas, Licho and Darling. They make sure your every need is covered and make you feel like family. Would 1000% stay here again.

Beautiful home and beautiful view We enjoyed the quiet retreat and the convenience of being close to town Licho and Darling very nice and helpful We loved the beaches and other adventures near Uvita Only slight negative was that it was warm in the main house in the afternoons and evenings but the bedrooms are air conditioned so we slept cool and comfortable

Fantastic House in Uvita

This house was great. We loved Uvita. It had a good view of the beach. The pool was fantastic as well as all the outdoor space. We liked having two separate living areas inside the house, one upstairs and one downstairs. We found it super convenient to the grocery store, the beach, restaurants and then a short distance to the Uvita waterfall, horseback riding and surf lessons. The on-site property manager was great with answering all our questions we had through our the stay. Super fun trip!

Perfect for family

La Libelula was perfect for our family gathering of 8 of us. The home is located just outside of town making it convenient for us to get to stores beach etc. The large pool and many sitting areas offer a variety of cool areas to hang out. Licho was great, he was there if you needed him and made himself scarce when you wanted to be alone. The number of Toucans visiting each day was astounding. We would recommend this house for larger groups and families.

Jungle Paradise

The house was amazing, plenty of space for everyone. The pool and patio spaces were wonderful. We woke up to birds and butterflies daily. We got lucky and got to see a troop of monkeys on the property one afternoon. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The driveway is very steep as the house is on a hill. There is a house manager on property who was helpful and kind. Be prepared to enjoy paradise.

Paradise in Uvita

We spent 10 days here and would recommend it to anyone. We travelled with 3 other couples (8 people total) and the house was perfect. Some house highlights we loved were the massive pool, outdoor dining areas, open air main floor and that every bedroom had an ensuite with ice cold air conditioning. We enjoyed seeing monkeys pass by the pool daily in the late afternoons as well as toucans and macaws. An absolute must is ordering dinner from Darling and Licho, they were incredible hosts and a real asset to have. They live next door and have perfected making you feel like you’re in your own private oasis while also making sure your stay is tidy and the property is maintained flawlessly. We can’t wait to return.

An Amazing Property and House

The pictures don't lie. This property is simply amazing with countless amenities. Nicolas is a great host and very proud to share his house with others to enjoy. Lecho is there in minutes to help with anything and Darling makes delicious food. The house is immaculate but my favorite is all of the outdoor space to eat, enjoy and relax. The landscaping is beautiful and lush. The gated entrance looks like something from a movie. We even saw Howler and white faced monkeys as well as a few Toucan's. This place is unforgettable and we hope to be back in the future.

Pura Vida

This home and the property manager (Licho) we’re outstanding. The home exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 8 (two families) who enjoyed everything about the home. It was well equipped, had large rooms and a stunning outdoor space. From the moment we arrived until we left 5 days later, we felt we were living a dream. I’d highly recommend you have Licho’s wife, Darling cook for you. We had originally agreed for her to cook one meal (dinner) but before we finished our meal we were asking for the same meal the following night. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy this home.

What a wonderful place!

Everything about this house was absolutely wonderful. It was so clean and beautiful. The pool and the area around it was phenomenal. The drive in is a little rough. Very steep and rough roads. Was definitely helpful to have an SUV. Licho, the host on property, was so helpful and attentive. He helped us book multiple activities, such as horseback riding on the beach, zip lining, kayaking, and an ATV ride. His wife, Darling, cooked us dinner one night, and it was delicious! Highly recommend having her cook, you at least one meal. We can’t wait to come back someday!

Total relaxation

We were a group of 8 traveling to Costa Rica for the first time, ages 23-67. This home and visit surpassed all of our expectations. It started with my first communication with Nicolas who provided me contact information to help complete our travel arrangements. They have a house manager on site who is there to assist you with anything you need. His wife Darling prepared several meals which we all enjoyed. The home is positioned on the mountain side and you are immersed in beauty with a variety of birds to include toucans visiting in the evenings and howler monkeys in the mornings. We did day trips to include a ATV tour and zip lining which Licho helped arrange and then we would come back to the home to relax and enjoy our evenings. The pictures of this beautiful home are not misleading and everyday we all woke saying how fortunate we were to have this experience and to have found this home to stay at for our vacation. Absolutely a beautiful home!
