"The room was fine. Built in 1904 so it is what you would suspect. Pool was full of leaves. The caretaker greeted us and told us she would prepare breakfast (frittatas etc) for us and we would eat around 8:30am-9:00am. We were downstairs around 8:30 and no sight of anyone. Two other couples came down and we waited until 9:45am. There was no “we are working on it or anything”. Actually no noise from the kitchen at all. All three couples left looking for breakfast. You can’t call it a bed and...

"There is no management presence at this site, and it is very evident by the behavior of the staff and the condition of the building. We had to move rooms for a leaking toilet, and another person had to move rooms for an ant problem. The pool area was infested with ants as well. Maintenance was metal grinding with sparks flying and no warning sign. His blade broke and hit my partner in the arm. No response from management AT ALL on any of these issues (again, management is not on site and just...

"Nice place, good location to enjoy the beach, restaurant near the hotel, the pool area is small but nice, good for kids"

"We loved our stay in this unique hotel; the bar was located in the principal's office!"

"Great location and great view from the upper porch. If you’re taking the ferry to Cumberland Island, you’ll be right across the street. There is no dedicated parking. They offer a free breakfast but it wasn’t set up one of our two mornings, no one was at the desk to get ice, there was not even a way to get coffee. There were 4 of us- 3 adults and a child. We chose a room with 2 beds- they were full size and the room was very small. We own an old house so we understand the challenges but this...

"Property was clean, well appointed and across the street from the beach as stated…Contact for the property was excellent, overall no issues…"
