"Amazing, historic building with many original features such as a beautiful tiled hallway and original call bells in the corridor. However, the decor and soft furnishings are all a little tired and dated in the common areas and overdue for an upgrade. We stayed in the Deluxe Double room with ocean view courtesy of the oriel window. Bed was comfortable, usual tea/coffee tray provided. "David and Lorna were lovely. Nice warm welcome and explained what was on offer and asked if there was anything that we needed. They were off on a short family break leaving the In Laws to cover Breakfast etc. Incl checking out and settling the bill 'if this had not already been done with David or Lorna before they had left'. Slight Communication breakdown we felt but overall had a fab stay. Reccommeded by us."

However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. "Great location for this hotel in centre of Corfe Castle with parking which is a plus as the village doesn’t have many places to park. We booked a garden room for two nights and were a little disappointed as the garden rooms are all described as spacious and within their own walled garden. The photo shown on their website does not in any way look the same as the one we had. The room we were given was very small and dark and had tiny awning windows. "Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. Staff friendly & helpful. Would stay again."

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."
