Hotel Château de Palaja

"Wish we had stayed longer We only stayed at Hotel Château de Palaja for one night, and we honestly regretted not planning more time here. It is a very quiet and peaceful place. The room was clean, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and they spoke excellent English, which made everything very easy. The hotel has a beautiful garden, a swimming pool and convenient parking. There is also a great comic book collection, which is a nice extra if you are interested in that. What surprised us most was that even the children really enjoyed the stay, despite there not being any special entertainment or activities specifically for kids. The atmosphere itself was simply very pleasant and relaxing for everyone. There is also an excellent restaurant nearby, but I would definitely recommend booking a table in advance. A really lovely place that we would happily return to. 100% recommended!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Olive Tree and a really great overall experience. The house is ideal for a family of four: very comfortable, cosy and well equipped, with everything you need to cook and feel at home, including all the necessary kitchen utensils. The house was spotless, and despite the very cold weather outside, it was warm and welcoming inside.The garden is absolutely spectacular, a real highlight of the property, and our daughters enjoyed it so much. The ping-pong table was also a fantastic addition and gave us some great family moments. Although we didn’t use the pool as it was winter, it looked very spacious and in excellent condition.Samantha and James are lovely hosts, very kind and easy to communicate with. The surroundings are beautiful, with views over the canal, and the location is excellent, very well connected to Carcassonne.Without a doubt, it was a great choice and a place we would happily return to for a family holiday."
