This is a lovely property in a fabulous location in North Vancouver. Max was very responsive and when there was a problem with one of the fridges, he brought a new fridge over immediately! Overall a great stay.The layout is - 4 bedrooms on the upper level, one much larger than the others, each with ensuite (three with bathtubs, one has a shower only), one with a King, two with Queens and one with two twins. On the main floor, one room with a Queen bed and a half bath. In the basement, two Queen beds and a full bath. A privacy screen can separate the beds in the basement.There were only a couple of things that weren't ideal. Cooling is uneven. There is no A/C in the basement. On the main floor, two large units and a ceiling fan keep things nice. There's a large unit in the main area of the upper floor. Since it's not central A/C, though, when you close your bedroom door at night you're not getting cooling, so some of the bedrooms got quite warm (except for one upstairs which was strangely cold the whole time). A second thing was that the water pressure upstairs was low, and many of the shower heads were fixed in place, so rinsing long hair, for example, could be challenging. The third thing was that the presence of the people living in the lower level inhibited us from using the beautiful lower patio, as their windows overlook this area and we felt like we didn't have privacy there. (The bottom level that you see on the picture belongs to the other people).

The house was wonderful in accommodating my family of 9. Great location. The house needs some TLC though. The owner was quick to respond of urgent needs though. This huge house only has 1 TV and only in the living room and not the game room. Some of the kitchen appliances need to be updated and the 2nd master bed needs to be replaced. We still have an amazing time

We had a great time with extended family at this house. Great views of the water and was big enough to accommodate our family of 11. Owner was super responsive to any issues that we had during our stay.

This house was a perfect get away from the city hussle. The views were terrific. We were 10 with 3 young children and there was enough indoor and outdoor space. We enjoyed the hot tub and the grill. The gkids loved the scullery(back kitchen)Max was a great host

Incredible house

Our family of 10 gathered to celebrate several significant birthdays. The space was perfect for us! The view is gorgeous, the amenities kept everyone happy (pool table, ping-pong, hot tub) and the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to organize family dinners that topped off our celebrations. The location is great for exploring (town of Deep Cove, hiking at Lynn Canyon, the Vancouver seawall via the sea bus from Lonsdale Quay in North Van). With a large group and a short time cars were helpful but you could do all this using public transit. For quick shopping trips Nester’s Market is a 10 minute walk. Max is a wonderful host. I was able to check in early to organize for arrivals from across the country. The house has hosted many large groups like ours so there were small things needing repair but nothing that interfered with our gathering. The property manager visited to make sure nothing serious was amiss. I would highly recommend this property for any large group wanting to enjoy time together and/or as a base for exploring the Vancouver area. Thank you Max!

wonderful house

We loved the stay, checkin/out was very smooth. I sent a message to the owner with a question and he responded right back to me. Loved the area of town and the quiet neighborhood, it was nice to come back and relax after a busy day of sightseeing

Great stay

We really liked staying at this property. Max was so friendly, and we had plenty of space to spread out. The Deep Cove area (new to us) was a great neighborhood and we enjoyed Cate’s Park across the street from the house.

A Disappointment

A beautiful house that sadly has not been maintained. Two features that attracted us were not usable: The hot tub water was oily and smelled bad. The grill was broken and way too filthy to use. Upon arrival reported 2 broken toilet seats, but never received a response. Other negatives of lesser importance: Lovely deck on second floor has no chairs or other seating. Piece of glass on the floor in one of the bathrooms. Dryer top so dusty it rained downed when we opened the dryer. Positive: When the battery operated front door lock became difficult to use, the property manager did respond right away. This was at the end of our week.

Family Wedding

We had 9 family members travelling in from Ontario and Calgary for 7 days for a family wedding. The house was absolutely perfect for us!! We had plenty of space throughout the house, including a pool table and lots of bedrooms along with plenty of washroom facilities. The house is located with very close access to the water, grocery stores, and only 20-25 minutes from downtown Vancouver! I also had the pleasure of meeting Max the owner of the house, who is by the way a very very nice man and couldn't do enough for me and my family. We would most definitly rent his home again!!!

Exceptionally amazing place for family stay

Families from UK & Korea were visiting Vancouver for our wedding ceremony in October, We had exceptionally good time in this place. The space is huge, it has amazing view and fun facilities. The location is wonderful as well. It's middle of Downtown and Chiliwack, So many choices to visit with short driving. Though Two families from UK and Korea hadn't met each other in person before, They got close very soon, I think staying in this heavenly place contributed a lot. Thank you, Max!

Gratification, a lot of activities sightseeing

Quiet place. Calming water views. The local area is great for breakfast by the pier. Spacious house. Easy keypad to get in. Kitchen is well equipped. Max is ready to provide any needed assistance. Overall a great experience.

Great owner's of the home/very clean/beauitfully decorated with an ocean view!

My daughter was getting married, family from all over attending and staying at the house. The owner right away accommodated us with such kindness as the heat wave. Rental home

There where some issues with a fridge and a dishwasher. He came to fix both ,the dishwasher was fixed ,but the fridge was still leaking when we used the water dispenser. There is no outside furniture that a person can relax on , No screens on windows, some fans did not work in bedrooms , The electrical outlet in master bedroom does not work . Otherwise it was comfortable and enough rooms for our family of 8

Beautiful Home!

We had a great stay at Max's home over Christmas! Our group was a mix of adults and children, 9 total, and the house offered lots of space and fun. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need. Previous reviews noted the stove did not work, I can confirm that it did and we had no issues. There is a butler kitchen off the main which made cooking for 9 people very easy. Each bedroom has a bathroom attached. All but one bed was comfortable. The basement has a fooseball and ping pong table. The house could use some TLC as others mentioned, but nothing that affected our trip. Max is very quick to respond and accommodating to all of our requests. The house is a quick walk to some beautiful water front trails, a 10-15 min walk to a grocery stores and restaurants, great location! If we're in the area, we would definitely stay here again.
