We had a great time at the house. The views of the bay are spectacular and it is very close to dog friendly Dillon beach. The house was spotless when we walked in and there were lots of really sweet, welcoming touches. Fireplace and living room with big couch was great for relaxing in the evening. Hot tub was a big hit and we loved the ping pong table and foosball table.Kitchen was well appointed - coffee makers, pots and pans, blender. Beds were comfortable. The house was overall in great shape but there were some areas for updating - faucets in the bathroom loose, sliding doors sticky, broken board on deck - that were at odds with how updated the house is otherwise. Not a dealbreaker, just a point of awareness. The house is pet friendly and worked well for our dogs. The yard is not fenced. The floors are all a nice new laminate but were quite slick. Our older dog struggled a bit, something to be aware of if you have anyone unsteady/mobility challenges in your party.The house comes with a guest pass to park in the neighborhood and from there it’s a quick walk to the beach. Note the path is narrow and a little treacherous at spots. Otherwise can pay to park at Dillon Beach parking lot. Beach was lovely, soft sand, ocean cold but shallow for dog and kid wading, not very busy in April. We called the rental company for help with the hot tub and they were fabulous. We’d definitely rent from them, and rent the house, again. The view of the beach and bay, stars at night,

The view was amazing! This was a great house for my husband and me, our three adult children and one grandchild. There was plenty of room, nice activities (ping pong and hot tub), and you can walk to the beach! I highly recommend this house. Host was very responsive when we couldn’t find sheets for couch bed

Ok,This location was beautiful, the house was roomy, and the furniture was wonderful along with the giant tv, plus upgrades in the kitchen are very nice. Bedrooms were great as well. The driveway is like everyone has mentioned, very steep, so I was expecting that. I also loved that there wasn’t any carpet, carpet is very unsanitary. I am a Senior care giver so sanitary cleaning is important. Oh, if your staying there, make sure you don’t leave any doors open on your vehicle, once it starts to get dark, raccoons are very curious and quick to explore your vehicle.. It was funny.There wasn’t much communication needed with the host, the washing machine has issues, along with the bathrooms. I hope these bathrooms get upgraded soon, this house is older and the tub and shower both are tiled with old 1”square tiles, and old dark grout that goes top to bottom, which would not be comfortable to sit on in the tub. All the old shake wood and tiled surfaces would be hard to keep sanitary. Smooth surfaces are the best way to keep bacteria and viruses out.All in all, we enjoy our time there very much..

Wonderful dream home. Nicely decorated and furnished- very comfortable. Great Ocean view (when the fog lifted). Unquestionably the best of the 3 homes at Dillon Beach that we have rented, and they have all been good. Confidential to owners from my retired home ec. teacher wife- the can opener is ready to be replaced. But overall thank you for furnishing the house so that it is turn key ready for out of towners to arrive and use without issues!

A true beach house

This house is what you imagine when you think beach house. The view is everything. Coffee and cocktails on the deck while looking at the ocean. Perfection. The main areas are open and spacious for family games and room for everyone to sit comfortably. We played ping ping, took walks and went to the beach. The house is very clean and had all the basics we needed. The neighborhood is all hills but that was good to work off the food we ate. Our pup loved it too. So many new smells. The beach is barely a five minute drive. We will definitely be back.

Nice vacation home.

Our warm welcome was a very nice welcoming, vibe nice music and a fireplace going. The views of the ocean are beautiful. The host responds promptly to your messages. They are very friendly and helpful.

Great Location

Amazing location with some great views of the beach. We didnt mind that the place was kind of funky and rough and the edges but it is disappointing to spend almost 1k/night at a place that wasn't very clean and did not have a decent screen door. The beds are all cheap mattresses on metal frames and were not very comfortable. The masterbedroom has a deck with a sliding door but no screen door; sucked not being able to sleep to the sound of the ocean because the owners removed it. Theres a second window in the master but you cant hear the ocean as well through it. Dust was everywhere upon arrival. Property manager did not provide any prearrival instructions but did answer right away when I called right at check in time. The main living room has a damaged screen door that you have to wrestle with each time you open it. I saw the property advertises to sleep 10 but there is only beds for six with 4 total beds. Hot tub was clean and functional which was a plus. Driveway is steep but you should expect such with being on the hill. This would be a great spot for 10 college aged adults to party in since its already seen alot of wear and tear. Kitchen appears updated but bathrooms flash 80's charm. Location and views are really the best draw here. Love the views but the trash all over the property and poor condition of everything would keep me from staying here again. Definitely not the worst but could use some attention from the owners.

Great weekend Getaway!

Perfect space for our family-very spacious. Kids loved all the games. Only thing that was challenging was the shower in both bathrooms-the knobs spin all the way around, which made it hard to find the hot/cold side. Driveway was tricky as it stated, but overall it was a great house, would definitely recommend.

Girls Trip Getaway

Thank you for sharing you house. It is beautiful!!! We enjoyed our stay. The view, hot tub, fireplace was amazing. Loved entering the home with ambiance of the fireplace with the soothing screen saver on the TV. Much needed relaxing weekend away. I have no complaints and would definitely rent Whale Watch house again and again and again......I can't say enough. I've rented other houses in Bodega and by far this one was my favorite. The walk to the beach was definitely not for the faint. There are some pretty steep hills, it is a workout. The kitchen had everything we needed.

The house is nice. Lots of room. Play room in garage with ping pong, foosball, darts. Fun. Big family room downstairs. Kitchen was good. Living room was roomy. Some things to mention. VERY steep driveway and I mean very steep. Living room screen on sliding door was wonky. Gas fireplace did not work. There were ants in the house and the neighborhood was not very good for walking. Too hilly.
