Relaxing week at the beach

This family of 3 + dog had a lovely time staying in a cozy condo just steps from the beach. This was the easiest trip to the beach we have ever had.

Shortest walk to the Beach!!

Great place and very attentive owners! Had everything we needed. Was the first time in awhile we had to bring sheets, towels, food, etc but the place was great. It was truly 100 yrds to the beach and very convenient for in town restaruants and easy to walk to all places! Dell & Larry were very accommodating.

Another great Dewey vacation

Close to the beach. Quiet. Spacious, breezy balcony overlooking spacious and well-appointed back yard. New kitchen appliances. Great location for the dog too, with access to fenced-in yard plus easy walk to the beach. Perfect for another memorable family beach vacation.

Lovely week

My sister and I rented this apartment last week (July) and had a great time. It's cozy, equipped with everything we needed and the hosts couldn't have been lovelier - they were there when you needed them but out of sight otherwise. They take impeccable care of the property, inside and out. There is a massive backyard with tables, a fire pit, outdoor showers and beautiful plantings. There is a 30 second walk to the beach which was never too crowded. It's also a very short walk to great restaurants, bars and activities. We will definitely try to rent here again!

Excellent Location!

This is a tough review to write because this apartment is literally 4 houses from the beach and in such a wonderful location. You could walk to so much and it was really, really convenient. However, the property needs a good amount of TLC in order to look like the pictures in the listing. The yard is overgrown and the patio furniture is worn from being out in the weather. The front door also needs to be lifted in order to close correctly. My conversations with the owner were very friendly and the apartment is a good place for a weekend, though, so maybe this is because it was the end of the season.

Peace of Mind

Dell and Larry are great hosts. They were more than helpful and fun to talk with. The unit we rented was clean and comfortable, well-furnished and wonderfully close to the beach.

The perfect beach week

It was our first time at Dewey beach, and we loved it. The location of the rental cannot be beat unless you're staying right on the beach itself. Very convenient for my 77 yo mother who has arthritis and trouble walking. We could get a beach wheelchair for her at the lifeguard stand, but since we were so close, she preferred to walk on her own. Apartment had everything we needed. I would say it's more suited for 4 people as it gets a bit crowded with the pull out couch. Larry was so nice and had great recommendations. We loved all the dogs that we met at the house and on the beach! We will be back for sure!

Great Location

My family and I traveled from Chicago to Dewey in June. We loved the size and location of the property, but the unit itself could use some updates. The entrance to the “foyer” where the doors for the 3 separate units are doesn’t feel very secure, the trim in the bathroom is loose and the shower is very small- making it extremely difficult to shave your legs. Dell and her husband were very nice and responsive, and everyone we met was very friendly.

Last minute Easter getaway

Lovely condo in great location, central to Dewey businesses and quick access to beach. Dell was a gracious host, easy to contact and quick to reply. Fenced in backyard is great for dogs and humans alike!

Jules & Ron & Pups DB Trip

We had a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable stay at this beautiful condo. It was everything it stated it was. The owners are kind and attentive and their gorgeous pup, Molly, is a doll - I absolutely love her. My pups enjoyed their stay as well - they loved sitting on the balcony and walking on the beach in the morning. The guests in the other units were also very nice!! Their dogs were absolutely sweethearts also. On a side note, everyone we encountered in Dewey was very respectful of the COVID19 distance rules and mask wearing. It is greatly appreciated.

Wonderful Week

Very nice relaxing holiday at Dewey Beach. The property was great. We loved the backyard - with the fluffy sand it was almost like being on the beach itself (our dogs especially liked the freedom to play with us there!). Very nice outside showers! Larry was a delight and made sure everything was going well for us.

Perfect Getaway for Small Families

Our family of three, plus our family dog, had a lovely stay here. Everything was as advertised and the location to the beach was perfect. We cooked all our meals either inside or on the grill in the spectacular backyard oasis. Highly recommend!

Perfect vacation spot!

Wonderful experience staying in an unbelievably perfect location in a great apartment! A stone’s throw from beach and walking distance to anything you could want. Communications w owners was prompt and very accommodating. Dogs loved it too! We plan to return.

Great home away from home feeling

Great location just a few houses in from the beach with no need to cross roads, etc. Dell and Larry were very warm and welcoming! The apartment is very well-appointed; everything you need in the kitchen and extra pillows, etc. to make you feel at home. The outdoor showers were great and made it easy to transition the whole family from the beach to dinner etc. without having to take turns in the bathroom. Will definitely be back!

Nice, Dog Friendly Stay Steps from the Beach

The apartment is not spacious (two bedrooms with queen beds are tight), but living room is more than adequate for 4 (we were only two) and the balcony was nice. The kitchen was well provisioned. The apartment was very clean, no evidence of being too dog friendly It is steps from the beach, which is a big plus. The owners were great to deal with and our dog and their dog had fun playing in their large backyard. It was raining on the day of our departure and the owners very graciously told us not to worry about the check out time and that we could have the apartment for the day, as they did not have it rented.
