Great Stay

My family just returned from 4 nights at this property. It had everything we needed to make it a great stay. The property was clean, well air conditioned and the views were amazing. Bring water shoes for trips down to the water. Transportation from the house to various spots on the island is very expensive so prepare for that. Our host was very responsive. Bermudians are some of the nicest people out there. Great stay!

Awesome View

The house had a great view, was comfortable, in a great area. We always felt safe. Bus stop in front of the shop was perfect, but was actually in the road. We waited for the bus in a driveway near the stop.This is an older house and right on the water causing it to need a lot of maintenance. I enjoyed it, but in all honesty it needed some love and attention. I was decorating it in my mind.

Perfect location and amazing views!

The views were amazing, the location was perfect and John (owner) was wonderful! He even offered to take us to the grocery store shortly after we arrived. Not to mention delicious food at The Flame restaurant (John runs) connected to the home was perfect after a long day of traveling or sight seeing.

Great waterside house

We stayed for a week at the property. It is right on the water with stunning views of the ocean and island. located close to Hamilton and situated in the middle of the island. John was a wonderful host and property was comfortable and clean.

Fantastic location!!

This house is right on the water and an easy bus ride to anywhere on the island!!! The host John lives on the property and is a pleasure to deal with and talk to. He was very receptive to the few needs we had. The view and sunsets were incredible!!! Would highly recommend this property and we will be back to stay in the future!!!

Golf Trip Stay

This property has a stunning location, with beautiful ocean views. Although the outside patio area was vast and allowed for enjoyment of the view, the downside was that there was debris and construction items scattered around. Also, the property was in a state of disrepair and looked neglected.Inside the home was no better, with old furnishings and decorations that seemed to be cobbled together haphazardly. The refrigerator was leaking water on the floor, and the kitchen sink had no hot water. Best thing about this property is clearly the ocean setting and view.

Stunning views

This apartment has absolutely stunning views. The apartment is large so the 6 of us had lots of space.We had a few small problems that John had sorted with in a day, he was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The only down side was the aircon in the upstairs bedroom wasn’t working. John had fitted one in the window but it was too loud to use at night so the room was unbearable hot.. once this is sorted it will a lovely bedroom with sea views.Also the rope ladder going down to the water isn’t there as it’s rotten, it wasn’t a problem for the rest of my family but I found it to difficult to get out of the water which was a shame.You could see fish and we also saw a couple of turtles from the apartment balcony which was just amazing.It’s an amazing property and it’s just stunning….Bus stops are outside for both directions which is so handy.Well worth a stay.

Girls getaway

John was a wonderful host and very helpful. The house is in a beautiful location right on the water. The bus stop across the street was very convenient. The only complaint is that the house needs some TLC. Some light bulbs were out. There was some rust on appliances, in the bathrooms and on the outdoor furniture.

Amazing views of ocean and sea life. But, the house requires substantial repair and upgrades. Refrigerator leaks, initially no hot water in kitchen. The hot water was addressed within 3 days but water pressure in kitchen was extremely low. Owner noted this and said it would be addressed but it was not. Dishwasher was dirty and so was not used. Water pressure and hot water in bathrooms was good. Lots of bugs (roaches) despite spraying every day. Furniture throughout the house was very worn (torn upholstery, loose legs on coffee tables, dresser draws did not work). Area around house seems as if there is ongoing construction so significant debris - not safe for children.

Phenomenal location in a big house

You can walk down a few stairs and get into the crystal-clear water and see a ton of sea life only feet from the front door. Bring your snorkeling gear. There are bus stops right by the house and an incredibly tasty restaurant literally next door, so the location is pretty convenient. It's in a quiet area, but it's not far from Hamilton. There's a full kitchen, laundry, 3 big bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The house needs a *little* work outside, but John the owner knows this and is working on a ton of stuff. Great for a small group of people. Eat in the large dining room, outside on the porch overlooking the water - your choice!

Can't wait to go back!!

My wife and I stayed here four nights celebrating our 15 yr anniversary. I can't say enough about how nice and accommodating Jennifer was and how beautiful the views are. After arranging a ride for us from the airport to the house, Jennifer drive us in her personal vehicle to the Twizy agency so we could rent an electric car. She even got up early one morning to make us lunch to take on our offshore fishing trip!! The Bermuda fish sandwich at Flame is amazing! Everyone on the island seemed to know the Seymours. Bermuda is a wonderful place and staying here made it even better. We are already planning a return trip. Lenny and Nancy Piech

Beautiful Home

We stayed at this property in June 2022. The home is on the most beautiful piece of property in Bermuda. My 4 kids ages 7-16 enjoyed snorkeling right outside of the house and fishing. John meet us during check in and was a great host. The air conditioner in the den/kitchen was broken but the ones in the bedrooms were working. It wasn't too big of a deal bc we were gone most of the day anyway. The bus line is right outside the house. My kids were fine walking on the streets without sidewalks and a lot of cars but might not be ideal if you have little ones. We would gladly go back and stay here again! Best view in Bermuda!

Paradise found

From the moment we arrived until we departed, we were part of this Bermudian home and life. Jen and Greg were so kind and even helped us to find a notary for some business that was time sensitive back in the States. The home is spacious and clean, and the view and access to the water is breathtaking. We took full advantage of snorkeling from the stairs on the property and saw more fish and sea life than we did on a professional snorkeling tour! Our hosts even made sure that we had transportation to and from the airport by reserving a taxi prior to arrival. Jen also helped us secure scooter rentals for the duration of our stay as well as went to the market for us while we waited for our negative COVID arrival test results. Jen and Greg made us feel like we were old friends, not people they had just met. I cannot wait to go back to Bermuda and visit these wonderful people.

Bermuda vacation

Nice vacation. Home was clean. It is older and needs some work. Roof in dining room leaked during heavy rain two days. Air conditioner I. Upstairs bedroom and living room did not work. I was also disappointed because the ladder shown in the listing to get out of the water by the rocks after snorkeling is no longer there. This, along with rough weather on some days, made it impossible for us to snorkel on the property and we had really looked forward to that. We also had a rat run past us on the patio one evening, which made us make sure all doors were closed when we were on the patio after that. John, the property owner, is very nice. Bermuda is amazing and the property, on the whole, worked well for us. We rented Tazzaris, small electric cars, which made accessing all parts of the island easy. It was a fun vacation.

Nice but very old and outside patio area needed cleaned up

Nice convenient property however the inside of the home needs updated! Furniture was old and saggy. Beds were not the most comfortable. I stripped the beds of all sheets, mattress cover and bedspread b/c all needed washed. The cleaner put the dirty mattress covers and bedspreads back on the beds. Home smelled bad. 2 roaches were running around the kitchen and saw a roach on the back patio. I did kill the roaches and I left one on a paper towel on the kitchen counter for the property manager to see. Coffee pot was dirty and the heat plate was caked with old coffee and grounds. Outside area in front and in back was dirty and messy. This could be an outstanding property with some "elbow grease" and new furnishing. This could be a 5 star property with some "elbow grease". A restaurant is opening on the side of the home which is attached. This will add a cooking smell to the property as well as patrons will be using the same back patio area as the ABNB guests. The ABNB online site stated that there were 2 bicycles for use. We did not see these however we would not have used them. The roads on the entire island are too dangerous to ride a bicycle on.

Could be great!

For our group (2 couples) this property fell short in many respects, although to be honest, we enjoyed our stay. I was surprised that the owner (John) did not initially acknowledge our booking with a greeting. The location was fine for us. We had independent mobility with mopeds but also sometimes took the bus (bus stop very near). The restaurant that is located on the property is closed. On arrival, there was no power to the upstairs rooms but I found the circuit breaker and reset it. It tripped several more times during our stay. Numerous electrical outlets and light switches did not function and light bulbs were burned out. We did a major clean of the kitchen. The dishwasher isn't secured into the cabinetry and there was no detergent. The first meal we cooked was problematic. Here are items missing from the kitchen: a good sharp knife, a potato peeler, a wooden spoon, non-stick pan, measuring cup, dish soap. A toaster!! There were no hand towels and no bath mats. The upstairs tub/shower is treacherous and needs some form of slip mitigation. In short, the place is poorly maintained and poorly equipped. You would have to be brave to try to access the ocean from out front. Some would be bothered by the traffic noise. The view and the proximity to the ocean, however, is great. So is the privacy. With the addition of taxes and junk fees, the nightly cost of about $660 is dear. With some effort, this property could be really great!

We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!

First, just want to say how ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL this home is right off the ocean with amazing views not only from the outside, but also from the inside including the family room and every bedroom. It is conveniently located in the center of the island, so no matter what you plan for the day, you will not have that long of a trip there and back. The house is large and spacious, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable with fresh linens! John gave us the name of a taxi service owner named Mr. Bean to use from the airport. I was impressed by his professional reply to my email, including a formal letter, and a large vehicle for the ride. On our way from the airport, I called John who quickly answered and agreed to meet us at the house which was only about 15 minutes away. Upon arrival, John warmly greeted us and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, inlcuding extra towels, beach towels, and more blankets. He also noticed the last people that stayed there forgot to leave the keys so he went right out and came back with a different lock for the door and installed it with a new set of keys. What really impressed me even more was that he offerred to take us all to the grocery store, wait for us, and then drive us back so we had food and items we needed right away. Then he gave us some of his extra bus tickets he had so we could get to a few places before we bought our own weekly bus passes from the Hamilton Central Bus Station. All bus routes connect at one end from the Central Hamilton Bus Station. Bus stops are plentiful everywhere (and so close to house)... All pink poles head toward Hamilton, all blue poles head away from Hamilton. There were a few minor inconveniences, like circuit breakers flipping off and clothes drier not working. But I assume those will be fixed soon, so you might want to ask about it if that is a big deal for you. Also, the steps at the bottom to the ocean were washed away from one of the recent hurricanes so it was a little more work getting into the water, but still doable. We saw tons of beautiful fish, snails, and corals. The Rubis/Terceira's North Shore gas station across the street is such a convenience with food items and beverages (including wine & alcohol). The people working there were so friendly and helpful too. This property is absolutely spectacular! Everything about it was perfect! I will not stay anywhere else in Bermuda ever again! The pictures do not do it justice and John is super professional and responsive. The home is made to overlook the ocean and every room has a view.

Loved this rental! The owner is so nice, the location is beautiful, and the house is so spacious. Very chill environment, probably not great for anyone who want to be in the center of the action. My group had an amazing time, the ocean access got a little hairy because of the impending hurricane, but when the water was calm, it was perfection. Would definitely stay here again!
