"An absolutely incredible place to stay, with gorgeous river views and even a lake. We stayed in a barrel which was so comfortable, I really did not want to get out of bed! The owner and others on the farm are kind, warming and helpful, and are clearly working hard to build an amazing space. I just wish I could have stayed longer!"

"A lovely setting for getting back to basics. Josh and Natalie we're incredible hosts who couldn't have done more. Totally peaceful, with no noise apart from birdsong - just utter bliss.Our host was very attentive if we contacted, but left us to our own devices at all other times.Cooking facilities were great and you could quite easily stay here for the week without stepping outside of the boundary. "Had a nice stay at the Kentisbury Grange in the retreat lodge. It was very well equipped and set in a lovely location. It did however show signs of age with some of furnishing needing replacement (eg some laminates on furniture peeling off). The cleaning was well below par. "This shepherd's hut is in a very remote area. Some difficulty traversing the narrow country roads to get there. The view was lovely and the host friendly and accomodating. The bed was high and we, in our mid seventies, had to assist each other in and out each time. All in all, despite the wet, windy weather, we had a sheperd's hut experience which we could not have in Canada. I think it would have been a nice area to enjoy in warmer, more pleasant weather."

"We have just returned from a few days at the lodge in between Christmas and New Year. It was absolutely gorgeous , so cosy and in such a beautiful setting. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas as well. We really loved the log burner in the evenings, it’s clear that everything has been thought out carefully in the lodge. The beds are so comfortable and the decor absolutely lovely, we were sad to leave!"
