The home was nice but the communication from the host not so great. We were there for the Lions/Cowboy game on Thursday night and had flown in from Atlanta that day. I asked the host if there was a chance of getting in a little early 1 or 2 hours since we needed to change and were going out to eat before the game (4pm check-in). No response. We knew the checkin time ahead of time, but also have used VRBO’s all over and most are fine with it (when possible) or at least communicate with you since checkout is 11am.

Stunning!

This place is even better than the photos. Spotlessly clean and stocked with every high-end amenity I could think of. The bedding and kitchen equipment was top-of-the-line and incredibly comfortable for my family. We were in town for a Tigers game and a concert and it was very comfortable and safe to walk to those events and to dinners. I appreciate the easy self check-in without having to meet someone. The garage just barely fit my Denali, but if you have a larger car than that, there was plenty of street parking. We were surprised to see how beautifully renovated this area of downtown is. We will definitely be back.

Xtra person fee for 3 in a 3 bedroom??

No complaints about the property, location, ammenities or better equipped kitchen than my own. It's a property leasing co. so the answer to my question about parking (provided, in a garage) was not accurate & when I asked about Xtra person fee I got an answer that made no sense.Nonetheless, it's a luxury listing that only lacks convenient charging plugs near the beds. (Linens were especially nice)

Great location and lots of space

The place was amazing - tons of space and great location!! Everything was provided and top of the line, beds were extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay again when we are in Detroit. The garage was a really tight fit, but we did get our extended navigator in.

We stayed here to go to a Piston's game and a Red Wings game. This place was wonderful to stay at. It was just a short walk to the arena. It was very clean and high end furnishings. The complimentary espresso machine and the living plants are a nice touch! We will stay there again.

Perfectly located

I arrived in town for a Lions game with my nephew. The property was NOT a disappointment! It was just as presented on line and more. The location was the icing on top. Close to all the all the stadiums and an easy walk. The property was clean and well stocked for all of our needs. I will rebook again when I come back to town!

Amazing Mansion in the heart of Detroit

This property was truly amazing. It was very spacious and has amazing views of the city. We went to a Red Wings game it was a 5 minute walk. Great bars and restaurants very close by! Highly recommend!

Great location and great service

This flat is well located, walking distance to the major sports arena’s and games and to the newer restaurant area. The place is renovated and comfortable with a living room and kitchen. Much better than a hotel.

Throwback Weekend in Detroit

We traveled to Detroit to see the Black Crowes show at the Fillmore and spend a weekend together with family. Our stay at the Lumber Baron's Mansion was phenomenal. The location is excellent for any/all downtown activities and there's plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Our host was extremely responsive and provided very clear communication. The interior was beautiful and well equipped. Highly recommended, will stay here again!

Really cool building, super clean and was in walking distance of the stadiums. Will definitely come back in the future. The host was very accommodating and responsive. Great to see what is happening in downtown Detroit!

Dream Come True!

My colleagues and I stayed here for meetings at Wayne State University. Back when I was in school (over 25 years ago) I used to see these mansions crumbling over time and neglect and wonder what they looked like in their prime. I was thrilled to be able to stay in this beautifully restored mansion. The accommodations had every amenity. The beds were very comfortable and linens clean and crisp. The kitchen has high end appliances and everything you need. Thank you for letting us stay! We will return!

Best Trip Ever, and the House was great too...

We were in town for the Lions playoff Victory, first in 32 years so the icing on that cake was the house/apartment. It was perfect!! All the amenities you could ask for!! Great location to the stadium and other places to eat, we will definitely be back! Great stay just like the images...

Great location, Great Neighborhood, Great Property

My wife and young boys stayed at the Lumber Barons Townhouse for the New Year's weekend, and it did NOT disappoint! The location was a half a block from Little Caesar's Arena. The photos do not due the property justice...it is much more impressive. 2.5 baths, washer/dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, Viking appliances and LIVE plants. We would definitely stay here again!
