"The hotel's location was great, as it sits atop a hill overlooking the city of Gondar. It does make for quite a walk into the city itself. If you are not up for walking, there's usually a tuk tuk hanging out outside, or you can have the hotel call a taxi. It's convenient to eat at the hotel, especially during the fasting time, however their food was palatable but not the greatest. "The only good thing of that hotel is Moges, the man in the reception. Very helpfull. thank you for your advices and helping me to book another hotel by phone. But I would never go back to that hotel. No internet in the rooms -though they say they have. No shuttle bus to the airport. And all the inconveniences you can imagine."

"Great service, huge villas, traditional dishes were very good. WiFi is so-so and only available in reception and restaurant. Nice big pool if you’re there when it’s hot enough. Hot water and huge showers. Incredible views and beautiful landscaping. "

"It is a very beautiful and quiet place. The rooms are huge and very clean. Beautiful terrace. But the best of all, the staff, expecially the one of the restaurant. I went for Simien for three days and my mother, which doesn't speak English, stayed at the hotel. All the staff took care of her like family! Also the manager, Miracle, was awesome!! "Fasil, the manager, sent the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The hotel was modern but with marble floors and high ceilings to keep it cool. It had a great restaurant especially for breakfast which was included. It had a terrace which was obviously a favorite gathering spot for locals as well as guests. Overall the service was great and the rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable."

"This is my favorite spot in all of Ethiopia. It was my second stay at this hotel and proved to be as special as the first. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The view from the balcony is extraordinary with crows, eagles and hawks flying at by. The morning coffee was delicious and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. I highly recommend."
