"Great hotel but a bit dated. Restaurant and bar area are great, food fantastic if a little pricey. Pool could use a refurb and the jacuzzi was closed disappointingly Great location, great staff. I went with a superior room which was lovely and spacious but very dated. Would stay again but wouldn’t pay extra for an upgraded room."

"Brilliant hotel. Cosy place (which even had the pub dog greeting us which was amazing!). Only thing preventing this from being 5 stars was the shower facilities. Shower faucet is restrictive which can cause issues if you’re not wanting to get your hair wet. Maybe disposable shower caps could be provided to help this issue. Other than that though a fantastic place in a peaceful location. Would definitely stay again!"

"Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room at the back, so no noise from the A66. Room very clean, well decorated , great shower, comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant very good We ate an evening meal, which was excellent. Continental breakfast was included, delivered to the room in a small hamper ,after completing a form the night before. Plenty of free parking. Would stay again."

"A thoroughly enjoyable stay. All the staff we encountered were so warm and friendly. Our room was very well equipped and spotless with quality fittings. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and great quality, the breakfast staff were very polite and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely look to return."

"Castle itself is great. The annexe rooms are very small, basic. Bathroom again is tiny and cramped. Its a shower /bath which if mobility issues would be hard to get in and out. Shower ran at lukewarm . Would be better to rip out and install standing walking shower. Rooms all need a full refurb."

"We just stayed four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington. Good location for short and long walks or hikes. You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun. Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit. We enjoyed the breakfasts—nice selection of pastries, cereals and fruit. And, the selection of hot items on the breakfast menu was...
