"Short stay, lovely room with great view over the canal and fields. Iron was worn out and burnt my shirt! Otherwise ok facilities, bathroom a little tired ."

"Avoid a room above the bar because of the noise. I think it must get its 3 star rating from the rooms in the new areas. The food was very mediocre. For food I would recommend The Fox Hole which is around a 5 minute walk. The setting saved my stay because it was lovely to sit by the river. The staff were very nice."

"The room we had were smallish but very well designed to use the space and very clean and stylish. Staff were very helpful. Didn't use the bar area until morning fir the delightful breakfast. Great breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful and nice and quiet at night. The only con I could comment was I could here the tv in room next door, but not super bad, just enough that you could hear when trying to sleep. Otherwise, excellent place and the waterfall behind the place was great even though...

"A very convenient and dog friendly place to stay during our travels. A dog bed, treats, water bowl and poo bags were provided for our dogs, and although there was road noise from our road-facing room, it didn't prevent us from having a good night's sleep. The breakfast hamper in the morning was delicious and allowed us to leave when we liked. The use of the two rear fields to walk the dog was very handy. We also enjoyed our evening meal and appreciated the friendly staff. Would recommend."

"Large room, helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Generally very clean although carpets were stained in places which didn't look great."

"Arrived Monday afternoon, member of staff said the chef had done a runner, on the Tuesday another member of staff said the chef had a day off, on the Wednesday another member of staff said the chef had taken an extra day off and offered us tea and coffee and cornflakes foc. The bar closed at 5 so if you wanted an evening meal you had to order early, that is if the chef was in. Sorry i cant give this hotel a rating, and the shower was hopless."

"Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc. Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold. Bed was clean, very comfortable...

"We arrived at the property to find that we had been double booked and no room was available as the property was now full. We had to find alternative accommodation in the area and we luckily found one property that had one room left. Grassington lodge offered no help in finding alternative accommodation due to their error. Extremely disappointed with how it was all handled and how we was treated and we would never use or recommend this property in the future."

"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"Spooky!!! This place is definitely haunted, 100%, whilst staying here last night I woke to see the outline of a ghost at the end of my bed 👻, it moved slowly across the room towards the window and then disappeared. If you like the paranormal this is the place to stay. Will definitely come again."
