"we had a great time for a week! Check-in was a breeze, everything was as described and we lucked out on good weather the whole time. This property is in a great location right on the beach and it iwas so great to be able to walk our dog on the beach. A great central location on the Outer Banks to explore. "

"We enjoyed our long weekend away at Stella Maris. There was plenty of room for a party of 7 adults. Only suggestion would be very minor upkeep in cleanliness (dusty vents, broom in the kitchen but no dust pan, scraps of old food in the utensils drawer). Otherwise the home was cozy, centrally located, and had gorgeous oceanfront views. Thank you for opening your home to us! "

"We found a lot to love about Herbst Cottage! While the layout is a little unconventional (the huge master bedroom is the only direct route in and out of the house to the back decks and pool), the spaces were big enough for 10 people, and the places we were most interested in, which were the kitchen, backyard/pool, and beach access, were really great. Well equipped with the exception of broken dishwashers (both indoor and tiki bar were broken most of the week) and a leaking ice machine. Response...

"This house was great & had everything we needed for a vacation! We loved the hot tub & the covered front porch. The chairs on the back deck were really nice too. The weather was cool so we didn’t use the pool but we looked at it & it was good. There are beach chairs under the house which was perfect for us since we didn’t have extra room to pack ours. There’s a water hose on each end of the house as well to was your feet & in our case spray off the windows of our vehicles bc they got terribly...

The host provided beach essentials, bikes, etc. which made packing for the trip that much easier. "The room was perfect for us. Everything was clean and tidy. The walk to the ocean was very easy just up a couple steps to the deck and out to the dunes. Beautiful views from the deck closest to the beach. We are definitely planning another long weekend stay. Although we didn’t meet with the host because of our schedule differences, they were absolutely wonderful people. We talked to Carol Ann several times by phone and text. "The house was exactly as it was shown, the owners very helpful and responsive. The location was perfect, close to so many fun things to see and do. The closeness to the beach and use of the beach chairs wagon and toys was so appreciated. "

"Host was very responsive. Properly is two blocks from the beach and an easy walk. House easily accommodated our group of 7 women. Plenty of porch space to enjoy morning coffee or evening happy hour. The house could use a few updates and is showing its age."

"The house was awesome. The location is perfect. It is in the wooded area so a breeze made the sounds awesome. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Especially loved the bonus room . Kitchen was well stocked and the air fryer was great. A needed small appliance in any Vrbo house. The owner was great to work with . Especially friendly and helpful. Any questions we had response time was very quick. Can’t say enough good things about the house. Plenty of games and books to keep you busy if you don’t...

"The property is in a great location close to the beach, stores, restaurants, etc., 2 minutes walk to the beach on the ocean side, 20 min drive to the soundside beach. 40 min drive to the nature preserve with the wild horses. Very clean. The house itself needs a little TLC, but this did not affect our stay at all. "
