"We were in Stratford to see a show. We arrived early and were allowed to park prior to checking in. After our show we met Bruce, the owner and he kindly showed us our room and explained some of the amenities the inn had to offer. The room, despite being on the smaller size, was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bed was quite comfortable as were the two chairs. The shower had decent water pressure. "No staff on site. Room code didn't work, number to call only went to voice mail. Managed to get someone on the line to remote open our room door. There was no available restaurant or lounge on site. Screaming kids on our floor. No one at checkout to talk to. Room was very nice, but no service to speak of."

"I love the old world, charm; of course, Stratford itself is a wonderful place to visit. My husband thought that the stairs up to the room as well as the stairs in the room were a problem for him. He is 77, and I am just a babe of 72."

"We enjoyed our 1 night stay on the 2nd floor at the Mercer Hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the room was very clean and the king bed was very comfortable. We heard the occasional noise from the room above us and the muted hum of the air conditioning units on the roof but it wasn't a problem for us. The location was very convenient for walking to all the theatres and for shopping. And the Mercer restaurant food is great!"

This motel is an excellent choice in the quaint town of Palmerston in the heart of farm/mennonite Ontario. "Staff was friendly during check-in and check-out, very quick, too. The room was large and clean. Beds were queen sized. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was updated. Shampoo and soap, and hair dryer were provided. Location was excellent, on the road out of town, and 5 minutes from downtown. The one improvement I would like to see is a coffee maker in the room."

That being said, my overall experience was good (except for some noisy people in the room upstairs, which I reported to reception, but it wasn’t really addressed); it’s close to the town and in a quiet area, and unless you have noisy neighbors, you should have a pretty decent night’s sleep.
