"It was quaint."

"This is an older motel that when speaking with the lady at the desk said was just acquired by a new owner last fall. They have done a lot of work to the rooms and exterior of the building with all new everything in the rooms. It is an older place but it being brought up to modern standards and amenities. They are still in the process of getting their vintage sign restored and a few exterior upgrades but I would highly recommend. Has the potential to be one of the nicest motels in the Luray area....

"The property is ok for spending one night. It is quite noisy if all rooms are booked as the opening and closing of doors is always accompanied by electronic noise and the walls are really thin. "

"The cottage was a little further from town than we anticipated, but we spent most of our time in the park and the caverns; so, it suited us well. The property manager, Ruth, checked on us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. The only little glitch was with the clothes washer when trying to wash with cold water. It turned out the hot and cold selections on the washer were reversed, and we found a work around so everything ended well. The area was very quiet and pleasant to enjoy in...

Everything was clean and looked new! Size of the house was great and for all our needs. We spent a lot of time on the back porch and used the fire pit! "The property is absolutely beautiful. The road to the property can be a bit difficult to maneuver, since it is so secluded. That's exactly what I wanted though. I booked this cabin explicitly for the hot tub on the deck - for my husband. He has back issues & after our 7 hour drive, he needed it. I checked with the owner a few days before to make sure the hot tub would be operational and he said yes it would. Then, a day or so later he told me that the "backup" hot tub was in place. "The gourmet breakfasts truly were that! The hosts cannot be more gracious. Afternoon snacks and welcome wine are terrific. The grounds and building are beautiful and we could walk to everywhere in town. Lovely experience."
